Degree Metropolitan is a nice place to get a bit to eat. Casual, yet a nice place to sit and visit. There was a bar but I did not participate in it. It is a great place to get a bit to eat before an Avalanche game. Comfortable walking distance to the Pepsi Center. It was very nice. It had gluten free options and worked with dietary needs. What I liked was that I was supporting students at the college.
Great place for a casual meal.

We chose this restaurant because it was attached to our hotel. It was delicious and the kids whom are picky were very satisfied. Can not wait to eat here again. Thank you.

Bar selection. Food was very good. Great place to go before any event at the Pepsi Center; can walk to it. Nicer than a lot of the sports bars in the area.

Service was excellent, but the food was mediocre at best. I had fried the two piece fried chicken but only one was edible.

We had reservations for dinner for 8 on a Sunday evening. Our table was ready and waiting when we showed up and were immediately seated. The waiter was cordial and promptly took our drink order. We had several different meals and all were very tasty.

The food was mostly great and the staff was polite. However, It took them almost 50 minutes to deliver our food. Our party was 7 people and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Also not once did the waiter/host come over and check if we needed more drinks.

Our first reason for choosing Degree was its proximity to the hotel.
The food is why we went back two days later.
The fried Brussels sprouts with brown butter and black salt were epic. The right balance of crispy exterior and soft inside with a silky butter flavor and sharp salt.
On Friday, I opted for the ancient grains salad and was surprised how light it was. Grain salads, so often heavy and oily, sometimes favor volume over flavor, but this one was a great mix of crisp romaine, quinoa, peppers and spices. It was filling without being heavy and a delight to eat.
Sunday, I was hungry.
The Not The Colonel's Chicken came in two & four-piece plates, with a smoky/spicy whiskey syrup, pickled green tomatoes, Texas toast point, and a cheddar-green chile spread. To put any of the accompaniments on the chicken would have been criminal. It was crisp on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The spices were a delight. The sides came together as a delightful addition to a filling and fulfilling meal.
My spouse ordered the Gaucho, a sandwich containing roasted pulled chicken, chorizo, pimento romesco, cotija, chimichurri aioli, on a crispy hoagie roll (yes, I copied that off the website). She expected more chicken than chorizo, so the sight of slabs of sliced sausage was a little unnerving. But the sandwich was amazing. I stole a piece of her chorizo and found it pleasantly, but not overly spicy. What surprised me was how much more I liked as part of the sandwich. The cheeses and the chicken added a boost of flavor that made the chorizo come alive.
As an out-of-towner, I would go back in a heartbeat. If I lived in Denver, I would frequent Degree as often as I could.

Great spot for pre football game food. Just a short distance from stadium. Staff is not overly friendly and service is not fast. The food was pretty good but it was hamburgers so hard to mess that up right?

Great, healthy, tasty options. Could do better for non-dairy guests. They had no bread that did not have egg and we had a little guy who wanted a grilled cheese.

We wanted to have dinner before a show at the Pepsi Center. This was the perfect spot! It's kind of tucked away in the corner of Metro State building, which helped make it a bit more quiet (a plus when you're trying to have a conversation). Our drinks were great, dinners were served very promptly, the wait staff was attentive. I'll definitely go back.

We went with 12 people to Degree and had a great, fun, surprising meal. It is close to Pepsi Center and downtown. Good food, fun place, good service. We like the concept of training new restaurant people but the place stands alone as a good restaurant. A little hidden away… worth the search.

We booked this because it was close to Pepsi Center where we were going to a concert. It is located in an Auraria Campus building with OK ambiance, nothing special. The service was cordial and efficient. The menu is limited but had good choices. We started with a cheese quesadilla that was delicious. We had a cornbread salad that was good and a Cubano sandwich that was very good. This place is an excellent choice for a pre-Pepsi Center event dinner.

The restaurant is nice. The atmosphere is pleasant. However, the service was very slow and inefficient. We waited way too long for the food, and we didn't have time for dessert. It was also lacking in amenities such as bread or rolls and coffee.

Made a reservation. Got a call back to confirm Friday evening reservation. they said they were really busy. When we got there, I would say 1/4 - 1/3 of the restaurant was filled. Ok, no big deal. First impression upon entering the restaurant, it appeared clean and the atmosphere seemed good - contemporary in nature. The wait staff was friendly, but slow to address the needs of each table. Which was surprising given the lack of customers at the time. Overall, the food tasted good, but I ordered a simple hamburger to be cooked medium, and it came to me well done. I believe the prices were fair in what we ordered. I also understood going in, that this restaurant is attached to the MSU Hospitality, Tourism and Events program. So expect students to be doing what they can to learn their craft. I've seen this restaurant given 4 -5 stars on some websites. More like 3 stars in my opinion.
