For over twenty five years, Dee's restaurant has been serving up satisfying meals in Forest Hills, New York. Hometown chef Dee Arabian took all the knowledge he learned growing up in his family's restaurant and at culinary school and created a place where good food, great service and a welcoming atmosphere are top priority.
Authentic Brick Oven Pizza is a fan favorite at Dee's. Homemade dough, sauce made from real plum tomatoes, Brooklyn mozzarella and fresh toppings of your choosing create an amazing pizza in just four minutes. If pizza is not what you're craving, the menu also includes a variety of sandwiches, appetizers and dinners from the grill.
We loved our appetizers (calamari and meatballs). My shrimp dish was ok, the shrimp were overcooked in spots and tough. The gnocchi with it was good. Cavatelli and sausage was tasty as was the steak and fries as well as the pizza.
Haven't been here in a while and was nice to know it was just how I remembered it. Delicious food and friendly ambiance!
Food was good, kids friendly and good value. Worth to go back.
Way over priced. Very small portions with even smaller ingredients.
Nothing like the Dee’s of old a few blocks away.
Service was awesome, from reservations to hostess to waitress right down to busboy.
Great service, very patient and attentive. Great ambiance and family friendly atmosphere.
Valentine’s Day! Noisy and a little pricey . Food was good. Need to go back on a non holiday.
On Valentine's Day me and my girlfriend booked a seat 3 weeks in advance. Unfortunately the evening was ruined by Dee's mandatory incredibly expensive Valentine's Day menu which forced every person at the table to spend $50 each on a "special." We asked to see the regular menu and they told us we could not. I told them I can't afford $50 nor do I want a massive 3 or 4 course meal that I could never finish. They said there's nothing they can do and we left.
I love Dee's. I go there all the time. I made the reservation there because it was a special occasion, not only Valentine's Day but me and my girlfriend's 7 year anniversary as well. The idea of having a mandatory menu special is absurd and ridiculously expensive. It ruined our night. It should be optional and normal menu items should be available, especially for people who reserved a table three weeks in advance.
It was great!!
We have been going to Dee’s since they opened on the corner of 71st Rd, all these years the food an staff has always been so consistent, our go to place, can’t say enough about how wonderful the food is and how we always feel like we’re eating with family!
From the service to the food, I enjoyed my time. I went because it was National Pizza day and was craving brick oven pizza. My girlfriend remembered the place, but not the name. I googled until the address sounded right and drive there. I am glad we searched. The food was delicious. I had burrata and chickne parmesan and my gf got pizza. Everything was delicious.
Been to Dee's many times. Never fails to satisfy. Arrived about 40 min early for our Open Table reservations. Waited at the bar and was seated only 10 min later on a busy Saturday night. Service and food quality was excellent as usual. Will of course return.
We have been going to Dee’s for more than 20 yrs. and food and service is always good. Love Dee’s!!
We had a wonderful meal during restaurant week. Food was superb and pricing and portions were excellent. Service was quick and courteous. Would highly recommend to anyone for any occassion...really lovely but comfortable setting and service with 5 star food.
It was great!
Had a great time at dees! Waiter was wonderful ambiance was calm and romantic and the brick oven pizzas were amazing. Will definitely be returning to dees in the near future.
great food and great service. would thoroughly recommend.
Excellent as always. Great service and many food options.
Dee's wood burning pizza oven is one of the finest in Forest HIlls. And, the service and care are quick and very attentive. Along with the pizza, we enjoyed the grilled rosemary shrimp and an incredible pasta orreicche with sausage and broccoli rabe. Excellent.
The hostess cant remember her name, was awesome.
The waitress Lena was super cool.
Family of 5, dinner at 5 pm. Get the Chicken Parm! We all did, outstanding! They know how to keep the chicken crisp although it's covered in sauce & cheese. You only need to eat half, enjoy the rest for lunch next day.
Greatest pizza anyplace. Friendly staff and happy atmosphere.
Best family dining experience in the area. By far. Good service, good atmosphere, crayons to keep the kids busy. Always predictably good food.
My family and extended family have been coming to Dee's since it first opened its doors at the original location on Metropolitan Ave. Some make it their regular Friday evening dinner spot. The food has always been consistently good and they mix it up every once in a while with a variation on a dish. The brick-oven pizza selection is particularly diverse. Their event room is a great medium-sized space to hold a great dinner event and they are always very accommodating.
Consistently excellent food and service but the people scoping your table to clean your plates away are annoying sharks and very obvious.
We love Dee’s! Wait staff is always great, never TOO crowded and the food is delicious!!!! Our favorite restaurant in Forest Hills!
Waitress is 5 months pregnant but works very hard!
Food was good but the menu has been scaled back considerably. Lasagna and eggplant Parmesan unavailable on a Sunday night in an Italian restaurant. Somewhat disappointing. Great cappuccino, though.
The pastas are great! Especially the cream sauce. The pizzas are really good as well, but my favorite is the Spinach Ravioli.
Being a big foodie that I am, I always recommend this place to everybody! I love everything they serve here. Dees never disappoints! One of my favorite restaurants (and the best skirt steak ever!)
Dee's is always reliable for quality food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. It's THE place in the neighborhood, but one where newcomers can and will feel welcome. Portions are generous and delicious; staff are friendly and responsive, and the environment is warm. Worth the trip every time.
Very good food for good prices. We ordered the Basil pizza, linguine with clams, mussels, and penne with shrimp. The space is nice and great for families.
Great, casual, neighborhood restaurant. Always a nice go-to with the family and kids. Lovely, modern, open interior space that is very comfortable to dine in.
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Two large groups nearby were celebrating so it was a bit noisy but otherwise I loved it.
Arrived at the appointment time and was seated immediately. Service was excellent from the original beverage order to the main dish. Food was excellent and service great. Wine prices have crept up laterly but still reasonable.
Dee's is one of my "go to" places. The food is always good as is the service. Anytime I bring friends to Dee's for the first time I am confident they will go back.
The service here- incredible! Amazing food!! Never disappointed here and will be back again!
Dee's is a neighborhood staple with good food and value. The only disappointment was the Greek salad which was mostly lettuce with a tiny bit of tomato and feta. Get the Dee's salad instead. Route 66 pizza was delicious. Could be a little noisy when full.
Service and food never disappoint. Just a bit confusing on the bill... There was a bar tab tax and a regular tax.
We've been to Dee's many times for lunch in the past. This time, 7 of us came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The restaurant was very busy and bustling. Our service was good for the most part. The pizza and Calamari were very good. My salad was eh ... the grilled chicken was tough. Overall, it was okay, though not fantastic.
Excellent pizza crust! Calamari was teriffic. Great cosmo!
