We have dined at the Deerpark numerous times and always have enjoyed our visit. On this particularly Sunday they were extremely busy and apparently it was unexpected. We had reservations but had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered Bloody Mary's from the BM bar but all garnishes we gone and their containers empty with no sign of a refill. Food line was picked over and mostly scraps with no replenishments apparently in the works.
Needless to say we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. Service and atmosphere was lovely as usual but the FOOD SERVICE was POOR on this day. We plan to write this off as an anomaly and give the Deerpark another chance but George would have been very disappointed if he had been our guest on this day!!!
Totally disappointed in the experience. High price for tasteless food. Service was extremely poor! Would not recommend!
Ambiance was good, met with friends and could actually converse without someone’s music blaring us out. Food was fine, for the price nothing outstanding but also nothing to find fault. Service was pretty weak. If I heard, “I haven’t forgotten youall” one time from our server while promising to bring coffee, water, remove dirty dishes etc. I heard it 20 times, not exaggerating on that. She was pleasant, seemed willing, but never able to get her act together. Our friend canceled his Bloody Mary when she remembered she had forgotten to turn it in; who wants a Bloody Mary when more than half way through breakfast? I finally got up, went to the servers’ table, and brought the coffee pot back to fill our cups. Yes, I did return it. I would have loved a third or fourth cup of coffee...between my first and second ones preferably. Funny thing is the one time she took a plate, it was my salad...and I was still eating it; she removed it while I was talking to my friend and I was unaware of her doing so. Anyway, no ‘warm, fuzzy, can’t wait to return’ feelings when left, but also no ‘never go back’ feelings either. Better brunch available in Knoxville, but Asheville is halfway to meet our friends, so I expect to return. I also expect a better experience. Note to DeerPark management, my personal opinion is she was either poorly trained or the restaurant was understaffed. That is on you, not her.
Most of our visit was great. It was really hot in the restaurant and they were undergoing construction. Overall it was good and we plan to go back!
Beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing meal on the grounds of a historic place with a verity of activities.
Went to Biltmore with our annual passes alon with some friends. Deer park has WOW factor to go along with wine tasting at the winery and a our of the house.
Great selection of food on the buffet. Had a great time!
Everything was great, except the chicken that my husband and I got were both still raw looking inside. It was brought to the attention of an employee who said she would say something to the cook. The potatoes were pretty stiff, which made it difficult to get off the spoon.
What a wonderful way to start our visit to the Biltmore Estate! This was my second visit to Deerpark restaurant and am definitely going to make it a tradition every time we visit. A "Must Do" in my opinion followed by a winery visit and tasting.
Love the lunch buffet! Great variety of food that all tasted incredible . The desserts alone were worth the entire trip. Our waitress was lovely and so attentive!
This is an exceptionally well done buffet-styled luncheon. High end items with that southern country flair. Over the top desert selections. Limited but varied entrees & vegetables. Excellent appetizer/salad table. Attentive & cordial staff that is not overbearing. Best bruschetta anywhere! Best value on the estate. Not my first visit. Always well done & menu is constantly changing from your previous experience.
Love the atmosphere but food was not as good as the last time we dined there.
Great brunch menu and excellent service. Brunch is $34 for person. They offer bottomless mimosas for $15! I truly enjoyed the food and look forward to going back again soon.
Excellent brunch! Amazing wait staff, friendly and attentive. Beautiful atmosphere.
We have eaten here a number of times and we are never disappointed. Brought friends who had not had the experience and they were blown away! As always we were asked if we were celebrating something? It was our friends wedding anniversary so our waitress brought out a plate with chocolate truffles and a chocolate note wishing them a happy anniversary:) The Sunday Brunch is exceptional with so many gourmet choices that makes this whole meal a treat to experience.
So glad we had reservations! When we arrived there were at least 20 people waiting but we were seated at our table at our reserved time. The food is always good with a wide and flavorful selection. Some dishes are old favorites while others are a culinary journey. Plenty of drinks to choose from plus live music. Great entertainment for lunch on a Saturday!
We enjoyed introducing our sister and her husband to Deer Park. We have been there many times before but they just moved back to the area and hadn't eaten there before. Dave is a really good chef himself so he is always looking for a place to get really great food. The food was wonderful and the desserts were amazing. Thank you for being as good as I remembered. We enjoyed all of it and found we ate so much, we didn't require eating again that night.
The meal was delicious . I have one criticism. You had mashed potatoes but no gravy. I always look forward to that. I was very disappointed
Went for a birthday lunch with friends. Nice selection of food on the buffet. We enjoyed the live music. All in all it was a nice lunch.
Enjoyable, and relaxing in a serene setting. One of my favorite places to dine with family and friends!
Best lunch I've had in many years. Beautiful setting. Requires Biltmore pass or tickets.
