Deerpark Restaurant-Biltmore Estate Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten here a number of times and we are never disappointed. Brought friends who had not had the experience and they were blown away! As always we were asked if we were celebrating something? It was our friends wedding anniversary so our waitress brought out a plate with chocolate truffles and a chocolate note wishing them a happy anniversary:) The Sunday Brunch is exceptional with so many gourmet choices that makes this whole meal a treat to experience.
So glad we had reservations! When we arrived there were at least 20 people waiting but we were seated at our table at our reserved time. The food is always good with a wide and flavorful selection. Some dishes are old favorites while others are a culinary journey. Plenty of drinks to choose from plus live music. Great entertainment for lunch on a Saturday!
We enjoyed introducing our sister and her husband to Deer Park. We have been there many times before but they just moved back to the area and hadn't eaten there before. Dave is a really good chef himself so he is always looking for a place to get really great food. The food was wonderful and the desserts were amazing. Thank you for being as good as I remembered. We enjoyed all of it and found we ate so much, we didn't require eating again that night.
This is one of my family's favorite restaurants for excellence in food selection, variety, and value. Unfortunately, our experience last week was not on par with the restaurant's usual excellence. Several of the offerings we out, or so close to out that there wasn't even an individual serving left in the tray. The broccoli and at least 2 of the salads were completely out, and the flambeed bananas were too tough to eat. What food there was available was not up to Deerpark's usual quality and presentation. There is construction going on at the back of the restaurant, but that should not have affected the restaurant food. My husband and I took new family members to eat at Deerpark and had talked it up for days. We were certainly disappointed. I'm sure we'll eat at Deerpark again, and we hope this last experience was just a isolated incident.
Saturday buffet with lots of offerings.
The beet salad was especially delicious along with the cola brined chicken. My son thought
the stout chili was the best he had ever eaten. I also enjoyed the wide selection of entrees.
All of the desserts were just amazing. Coffee was fresh brewed and tasty. Would highly recommend this delicious buffet for any Saturday diner. The price is especially good for
all the selections that are included.
One of the best restaurants on the Biltmore Estate property and perhaps even in the Asheville area. It is a buffet with an excellent selection of entrees and especially deserts. They make all their own including breads and jams. You will remember this restaurant as much as you will your visit to the Biltmore Estate. This restaurant is finally being "discovered" by local passholders. Be sure to make a reservation. The hosts will take reservations before taking walk ins. Also remember that there is a shuttle service available.
Warm on a very cold day! Attentive waiter even though the brunch is buffet. Loved the make your own Bloody Mary bar. Talented acoustic guitar player at perfect volume. Desserts were varied and creative! Thank you for a fun start to our 30th anniversary. We'll be BACK!!!
We were seated quickly and found ourselves treated to the wait staff. They were all very attentive and helpful and made the experience very worth while. I was a little disappointed in the options for meat options but the pork was very good. The roasters had allowed the food to cool a bit more than I would have liked but it was ok. Breads were good, a lot of options and the desserts were spot on. Cheesecake was especially well prepared. Broad selection of wines, we had been to the winery before so I knew what we we seeing on the menu. Overall a very good experience.
Have told all my friends how amazing the buffet was. Yummy!! Can't wait until our next visit. Perfect end to complete our Christmas Family get together and what a great start for the year to come. Shared this experience with daughter and fiancé and my wonderful husband.
I had enjoyed Christmas dinner there with 15 family members. When we arrived that night , the guard at the gate gave us a hard time about having a pass to get into the property, and we had no idea that pass was required. I took my dear friend there for lunch on New Year's Day, I called days before and asked if i needed to purchase a special pass to gain access. No one ever returned my call. So when we arrived for lunch, the guard acted as if she were doing us a favor by letting us in. My friend had a pass to Biltmore, but she told us we needed to possess at least two passes. Had the concierge returned my inquiry call, we would have had the appropriate documentation. So I showed her my email reservation confirmation, which I thought would be adequate. But she chose to lecture us instead. So I walked away with the impression that my time and money are better off spent at Grove Park Inn. Much easier, kinder and welcoming to approach.
We were at the Deerpark on New Year's Eve. The buffet was extensive, but light on vegetables and heavy on dessert and breads. I would like to have seen a few more vegetable dishes like squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, perhaps roasted winter vegetables, etc. Pumpkin pie was also missing. For the price, one glass of wine with dinner should have been offered. What was offered was delicious, however, and service was outstanding.
The food was good but we were stunned how sloppy people were dressed. We thought the Biltmore house would be a little bit more elegant but it was really just a bunch of people with ridiculously horrible clothing on like they were going to a high school football game
Deerpark Restaurant at the Biltmore was a special treat. We drove to the Biltmore for the day and had a lovely lunch at Deerpark. We took our time and had many courses and lots of good food from each course. It's a nice restaurant for a special occasion and while it's only open certain times of the year you should definitely try to get there. This was a great way to end 2017! Happy New Year!
We love the restaurants at the Biltmore and this was the first time at this one in a long time. We had great food and service served in buffet style. The choices on Sunday are quite wide - breakfast to prime rib. Well worth the visit if you are in Asheville or live here as we do.
