Deerpark Restaurant-Biltmore Estate
We always look forward to our meals there. The entire staff is so friendly, everyone is so helpful!!! The food is FUN!!! It is always delicious!!!
I tell people all the time to go!
Disappointing. Having had very special holiday dining before....for Fathers Day,?they missed the mark. Place is great, but quality of food disappointed as dry, over cooked, empty service dishes, and more....despite not being as full as for other holidays. Biltmore is great, but this special day was sub par for them. Thus overpriced fir results.
This is the second time to experience Deerpark Restaurant for the brunch buffet and it's always fabulous! The atmosphere and music make it extra special. This time was more expensive because it was Father's Day which is expected. My only disappoinyment this time was lack of fresh fruit and cheese. These are usually staples in a brunch which I look forward too. There was a very large selection of other food choices which were great.
I would still highly recommend!
Excellent new menu. Consistently a great dining experience.
Really good menu, nice atmosphere and music. Service was a little off today, staff seemed a little thin today.
The quality of the food has really dropped since ten years ago when I ate here. Everything looked really pretty, but tasted bland. The deserts were beautiful, but tasted like a grocery store bakery. The sliced pork and flank steak were very good. Such a pretty place. Such a shame.
The food was fantastic!!! Soups, salads, veggies! All my favorites. Great place to sit and relax, enjoy the food and service was excellent. Going back again in July!
We have eaten here several times and it was fantastic, but this time everything was great except the service. Our plates piled up and we had to find a place for them so we could eat. That is the only complaint. The food was GREAT!
It is a very pleasant experience with an excellent lone musician playing softly near the buffet. The seating surrounds three sides of a courtyard with large windows for viewing. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
I only wish they offered fresh domestic wild caught seafood, as opposed to imported shrimp, etc, and vegetarian entrees. There are plenty of vegetarian side dishes and salads.
There is a large array of desserts. If you are celebrating something, they will bring you some unique homemade truffles made on the premise.
Dining at Biltmore's Deerpark is always a delight! Lovely setting, exquisite menu with classic favorites and a few new dishes that tempt us to try foods prepared in creative ways. Perfect for our family gathering ( a birthday and an anniversary). Had a very nice server named Becky who even brought us decadent Mango confections atop a serving board with special wishes elegantly written in dark chocolate.
Love the live music. So soothing and relaxing. Far superior to any "canned" music. Please continue to support talented musicians and singers. So in keeping with the Vanderbilt story.
Excellent staff, very courteous and gracious, and our server from previous dining visits, Icylin, remembered us and wished us well with our special occasions. How nice to be recognized as frequent diners and passholders.
Also, the gracious assistance of Mr. Maurice Skanes, Banquet Supervisor, made our guests feel especially welcome on the Estate. Thank you.
The persistent rain may have darkened the skies, but Deerpark's ambience and the scrumptious offerings from the chef and staff at Deerpark truly made for a radiant and memorable family gathering . We are already planning our next celebration.
While there was an abundance of food offered, the quality of the food was only just decent. Some items were better than others. The view out the window and the amount of food was the only reason this would be worth doing. I'm glad for the experience, but I wouldn't pay that much again.
Our server did a cool chocolate written happy 34th Anniversary plate for us complete with strawberries and truffles! Such a sweet personal touch to celebrate our special day!
Since I have brunched at Deer Park on at least 5 other occasions I was excited to celebrate my birthday with four other family members on June 2. This experience was not as positive as I was expecting.
The venue is beautiful and the music was relaxing and pleasant. The food was displayed in a pleasing manner but myself and 2 of our party who have eaten there previously did not feel the food was as tasty as previous visits. We sampled most everything between the five of us but only found a few truely delicious items. The croque Madame sandwich, pimento cheese grits and skillet shrimp were very good, the fingerling potato salad amazing and the carrots and succotash colorful and healthy. The deserts, which we always enjoy , we're pretty to look at but the taste was not memorable.
The waffles and French toast were both soggy due to sitting in the steamy warmers. I believe the attendance on Sunday was low volume and possibly that was the cause of food sitting in warmers too long and becoming soggy.
Since the restaurant was not very busy/ crowded the service should have been excellent as it always has been in the past. Unfortunately Our server was slow and not attentive to our needs for drink refills or in removing used plates. I had to finally ask for drink refills because three of the five of our party had been waiting for swhile. When the server did refill she ignored the pile of dirty plates and walked away. She never asked if we needed anything. I had to physically hand her dishes from our table as she passed by our table to accommodate other patrons. She frequently walked past us without any notice of our needs.
I was disappointed that the two new guests I brought with me to celebrate did not get to experience the wonderful brunch I had described.
This is not the usual customer service I receive as a guest at Biltmore estate and that is my reason for my three star rating .
Great for special occasions
Pleasant service with great food options for everyone!
The soups, salads, entrees, and vegetables were all delicious. The she-crab soup was my favorite bite. The pineapple-glazed chicken was a great surprise. I was a bit disappointed in the desserts on the buffet. Our server was very pleasant and not intrusive, but was a bit slow to respond to plates that collected on our table. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will definitely return.
Not our first time at this buffet. Usually a delicious and beautifully spread. Service and ambiance were on point today but we were disappointed with the proteins. The meats seemed dry and over cooked at the carving station. we had a 12:30 seating.
The food was great, the service was great and the deserts were unbelivable
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. We sampled a lot of the dishes and thought they were all delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and we enjoyed talking with him. We have already recommended
Deerpark Restaurant to friends and family. We would like to see the buffet tables spread out a little bit more. With all the people in that one area it was hard to get around to the different tables. We already know that we will return to Deerpark Restaurant. Thanks for a great meal.
We went for Sunday Brunch. Was not as good as we were hoping. The food was okay. We liked the stuffed French toast the best of all the food they served. I said I would recommend it but only because I didn’t have a “maybe” option. My chair had serious food stains on it which was obviously not very appetizing. The restaurant itself was nice.
As usual our experience was amazing just disappointed in the desert this trip
Great place to meet good friends from out of town.
Late Mother’s Day outing to Biltmore. We love Deerpark. Always wonderful!
Great experience. Food was excellent! Loved that it was a buffet so we could try a little of everything.
Duet guitar and cello played while we dined. Beautiful setting.
Wonderful addition to our day at the Biltmore Estate.
The ambiance was breathtaking. The service from the moment we walked into the building was courteous, and accommodating. The food choices and quality of food was superb. There was a good balance of brunch options and lunch options. The grandson particularly enjoyed the chicken and waffles.
We will absolutely return and recommend the Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate to friends and family.
Love eating here! Food is always great and interesting. Atmosphere is always relaxing. Wish I could eat there every Sunday.
My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here for Sunday brunch after touring the Biltmore. The food was beyond delicious. The only thing that made it less then a perfect experience is that our plates had not been cleared off the table when we went back for seconds and we had to remind our waitress twice to refill our beverages. However it did not take away from the experience and ambiance! Thank you for a memorable morning!
We felt the hostess was abrupt and not friendly or helpful at all
Waitress was slow on drink refills and clearing table. Food presentation and variety was great.
Great food and service. Will definitely be back. I loved that the food was so fresh!
I was very disappointed in the food. I have been there before during Christmas it was great I took my best friend to impress was very disappointed in the food and the pastries were gross .I tried all of them . The only thing that was good was the brisk.
The food is outstanding! Loved the live music it wasn’t too loud and created a nice atmosphere. Save room for desserts!
There was a guitarist playing a little too loud during my visit.
We eat at the Deerpark at least 6 times a year and had eaten there just two weeks earlier. They change their menu quarterly, and we'd enjoyed the menu so much that we returned with a friend as soon as we could.
The rainbow carrots and the smashed Yukon Gold and redskin potatoes were superb, as well as all of the meats (smoked brisket, pork loin, and grilled chicken w/pineapple. My husband and friend both really enjoyed the She crab soup and the Cajun shrimp. An unusual combination but pretty and very tasty, the passionfruit basil cake was delicious, and we loved so many of the other desserts (too many to name, all that we tasted were so good--we could have stuffed ourselves on them alone!).
Our waitress Lisa was as pleasant, efficient and attentive as could be. The wait staff in general has always been very good.
And the live music was pleasant, not too loud, but helped with the ambiance.
This was definitely one of their best menus. Great job!!
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection of food and drinks. Our waitress was very attentive. Had a very nice time!
The restaurant was nice; HOWEVER the food was less than stellar. First, we hit the salad bar. It was well stocked and everything we tried was very good BUT the lettuce and plates were room temperature. Next we tried the green gazpacho soup — excellent. The main plates had some issues: the pork loin was overdone (very dry); the brisket was okay but was lukewarm; the shrimp were very good; didn't try the chicken but many in the restaurant were eating it. The veggies were okay; the potatoes were very nice. All the bread selections were very good. Finally the desserts: we tried most of what was offered. Some pastries were good; many were not great. Example (see pictures): The purple dessert was a mousse and it was just okay; the other item in the glass was very pretty but had virtually no flavor at all. My wife did enjoy the lemon/berry cake. She said it was the best of what was offered. To give a yes or no recommendation was difficult. We would like to try the Deerpark again, but not soon. Value-wise it was okay.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food. However our server was very disappointing! We have dined at the Deer park several times, and we are have been Biltmore passholders for several years. Our service there has always been fantastic, very efficient and friendly. However on our last visit our server, her name is Jeanette ( I remember because that's also my name) was not attentive or friendly. It took a while for her to come to our table for our drink order, she was not friendly as our servers have been in the past. She was also very slow at clearing our used dishes, I had to ask her to remove some of them.
Regardless of this we did enjoy the food as it is always delicious and we will return. Just wanted to let you know that we expect better service at the Deerpark!
We have been Biltmore Passholders for years and love eating at the Deerpark..... everything is exceptional.
We loved everything about Deerpark. I had such a lovely Mother’s Day. It is pricey but worth it for us. It is lovely and the food is plentiful and very good.
