Cheyenne, our attendant was amazing! Added touch was the Banquet manager, Michael, coming over to greet us. Such a memorable Sunday Brunch!!
The food was outstanding, the variety and quality was amazing and everyone in my family had a wonderful time.
Holiday music would have really made this unforgettable. Food was better than I expected, and we will definitely be back.
Great place to dine. The atmosphere is comfortable and the surroundings are pleasant. Attentive wait staff.
Good food, good service. Price for dinner was on the high side. We had a 5pm reservation but didn't get seated until 5:35. The desert table was half empty when we were ready for it. Very poor selection.
Wait staff a little slow but overall, a nice experience
This was our first time for Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful and the service was outstanding! The food was delicious and my family was highly satisfied. So much variety in The entree’s and desserts. It’s a little bit pricey but worth it for sure. Will definitely go back in the future
Thanksgiving dinner food and service were outstanding. This is a special family holiday, and as such, I would like to see Deerfield institute a dress code. Dirty jeans, hoodies, and ball caps should not be allowed.
I'm not talking about jackets or ties, but collared shirts and no jeans would be appreciated.
This was my second year coming for thanksgiving dinner at Deerfield. This is perfect for our small family dynamics. Excellent food and menu and staff. We will see you next year. Thanks
This is the second time I have attended a holiday buffet at Deerfield, the 1st time was Mothers Day 2018 and we all enjoyed it. The second time was Thanksgiving 2018, the food was good but the service was very slow, and both of my drinks (soda&water) had leftover lipstick on them which was rather nasty. My silverware was rather dirty too, i was less than amused about that it was pretty obvious. Otherwise ill give it another chance in the future.
The food was very good!!! However for $60 per person and the amount of food we eat I thought it cost intirely way too much. The service was very bad the waiter came to our table when we first sat down he explained everything to us we went to get our food we sat down to eat we were three quarters way done eating before we could get him to get our drinks to us. It was a buffet there was no ham no green bean casserole we were very disappointed !! Turkey was very good !!
The food was good but the beef was a bit too rare. Service was nice, salads were good but could have had more desserts I think. All around the dishes were very good it was just too expensive.
We tried their Thanksgiving buffet for the first time after seeing rave reviews for their Sunday brunch. The food was plentiful, but
only marginally tasteful. I prefer quality over quantity and this experience was a disappointment. The $59.95 per adult was surely overpriced. This was our first and last experience at Deerfield’s Thanksgiving buffet.
Deerfield is an excellent place to dine. The food is excellent and the servers were great!!! I would recommend it to friends and family. We have been coming to Deerfield for several years and are never disappointed.
Hadn't been to Deerfield in 10 years & secured reservations this year. The staff were fantastic & a few went out of their way to make the visit special. While we were waiting for our table the bartender came by & asked us if we'd like a drink while we waited, even the complimentary ones.
The manager was very present with the guests & sincerely asked if he could do anything to improve our dining experience.
Rated a 4, not a 5, because the buffet needed to be serviced/clean more often. The spoon for mashed potatoes for example was totally covered in potatoes as was the plate. You'd pick up the spoon & the plate came with it.
The food was amazing, we were able to sample many things to see what we liked. The seafood salad, with lobster ^ shrimp, was fantastic. I could've had that as my meal!
FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND TASTY. ENJOYED THE SETTING AND FOOD DISPLAY WAS GOOD WITH LIST OF WHAT WAS AVAILABLE ON THE TABLE SERVERS. DESSERT WAS GOOD, BUT NOT EXCEPTIONAL. THE THANKSGIVING BRUNCH WAS VERY GOOD, BUT IS GETTING PRICEY WITH THE MAIN PRICE AND THEN TO ADD TIP TO BILL
I will never again eat at Deerfield
it was the worst thanksgiving dinner i ever experienced
ever since chef Lou left deerfield, the menu has gone way down hill!
they have taken most of the traditional thanksgiving items off the menu
and replaced them with things like candied onions & crabcakes
who comes up with these ideas?
Not only did you way over charge @ 59.95 a plate
we left hungry due to the lack of choices
This is AMERICA
Put ThanksGiving food on our plates!
safe yourself some grief and go to Heartfeld !
Although a bit pricey. The atmosphere and ambiance was great. Very nice for a special day in a person's life.
What a great brunch served in a lovely bright cheerful room! My only complaint was that after each plate was removed, the dirty utensils were layed on the clean white table cloth! I think they should have been replaced each time! That’s a lot of extra utensils to wash but it really!!!
My husband and I and the other couple we were with both loved it and will definitely be back
The Sunday buffet brunch is wonderful! The selection, variety and quantity are terrific. The quality of food is rather good for a buffet. The fresh waffles are my favorite. We feel it's one of the very best buffet brunches we've ever been to and we think it's worth the 1.5 hour drive! Helps that our oldest child is a student at the University of Delaware 10 minutes away. My only criticism was that our waiter was inattentive and allowed our used plates to pile up on the table. We were a group of six so there was quite a pile! He also didn't check to ask if we needed additional beverages or any special orders. We will return.
The food was great. However it seemed the wait staff is spread a bit too thin, always waiting for coffee/drinks, plates to be cleared, the check. The servers did a good job, just not enough of them.
Unbelievably delicious!! Our service was impeccable and the food was nothing short of spectacular. This was beyond the best brunch ever!!!! I mean come on, they have a donut wall...
Always a great experience. Whole family loves it. All food is delicious. Good selection. Also great that young kids are no charge.
We spent 2 hours enjoying all the wonderful food. Ou waiter was very attentive. Very nice atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly.
Wish my date would bring me here for Sunday brunch in addition to golf.
Best Sunday Brunch in Newark and maybe Delaware. Great Staff, Food, Ambiance, and Experience. Wish it was offered year round but happy for what they are able to do.
I took friends to their Sunday brunch. The event was festive with pumpkin carvings being judged, staff wearing Halloween costumes and special deserts. Food was exceptional, food was well presented and abundant. Service was five star. In short we had a delightful meal.
Service was terrible!! Our waiter got us drinks and we never saw them again! It took 30 minuets and we asked others to tell the waiters to bring our bill! We asked 3 different times! Terrible Terrible Terrible
Nice Father’s Day Brunch. Sometimes it felt like the staff was overwhelmed but they maintained professionalism and worked so hard to help everyone enjoy their day
Beautiful setting, staff was flawless, food choices didn’t end something for everyone from, breakfast to seafood, to carving stations and then desserts. Father’s Day grilling was a great idea except it meant keeping an outside door open and we were continually bothered by natts my son had to cover his plate with a napkin. Food was tasty a few of the meats could have used some more seasoning but overall very delicious. Going to try again for brunch one Sunday after church. My husband really enjoyed his day and that was all that mattered.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable early buffet on Mother's Day. Perfect way to end a special day.
We had a late seating and a lot of the food was picked over. Wait staff was courteous but not that attentive. Third visit and not impressed.
Everything was just absolutely devine! The food was delicious! Love the selection, atmosphere, and that it was kid friendly.
Service was extremely slow for drinks and the clearing of plates.
Mother’s Day brunch
Excellent. The Mother’s Day Brunch was a hit. The ladies loved the experience.
We went to celebrate an early Mother's Day with brunch. My mom and the rest of the group thoroughly enjoyed it! There were so many options with quality food choices and everyone was so friendly. Before she even finished her plate, my mom was saying she wanted to come there every year for Mother's Day!
Food was good as usual. We come about twice a year.
