Deep Sushi - Dallas
Placed reservation for 8 people on OpenTable for Sunday at noon, received confirmation, then showed up at Deep Sushi on time and the restaurant was closed until 5pm.
We reserved a table, showed up, paid $10 to park and they were closed. They have evidently changed their hours. Wasted my time and tolls from Frisco. Extremely rude to not tell us. Be safe and schedule with Sushi Zushi and it will be in a nicer, safer area. Plus - you don’t have to pay for parking.
The place was closed. We had a reaervation - confirmrd, with reminders - for 11.30. Sundays they open at 5.00pm only
Very frustrating and embarrassing. This plCe shojld be taken off Open Table
Excellent Sushi and our favorite in Dallas. Enjoy!
They were not open!
Food was great! The servers were very friendly and I had a greet time
The food was good but didn't come out at the same time, which wasn't ideal. They were also out of a lot of things we ordered. The food we did get was tasty though.
Don't order the Toro. Or if you do, only order one. We thought the sashimi was just one piece so we ordered three and next thing you know, we were charged $120 for fish that wasn't as good as Toro I've had elsewhere.
Other than that, the food was as wonderful as always.
The food was very good! However the service was less than desirable and the space around the sushi bar is very closed in to the point of being clostrophobic
Loved our server and our meal. Everything was delicious, we tried the spiciest roll, and it was spicy, but delicious. Nothing here is one note, full flavor.
Love the sushi rolls!
Favorite sushi place, always great!
Our waiter wasn't attentive or friendly, and the two seater tables were too close to the sushi bar and kitchen. Waiters and waitresses were constantly bumping into each other because of the lack of space in the isles.
Great sushi, as always! Was pretty busy and service got a little scatterbrained at times but overall excellent!
If you make a reservation, be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes anyway. This has happened to me 3 times
My boyfriend and I were coming down to Deep Ellum for a Friday night and were craving sushi. Made a reservation and were seated on time with no wait. We began to eat and drink. The food was to die for. Great rolls and, if you're a fan of spicy, you cannot go wrong here. The drinks were good, too. Beer fans will enjoy Ichiban on tap (nice touch). However, as the night went on and the restaurant picked up, the atmosphere got a little crazy. It was fun, but a little overwhelming at the end. If you're coming on a weekend, don't get the table in the front of the restaurant by the bar. People will crowd your table.
This is the best sushi I have had anywhere and easily my favorite in Dallas. Our table shared several dishes. Deep Roll on the sushi menu was so good that we ordered a second one when we needed just a bit more food. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was wonderful. Shrimp were huge and the tempura coating was nice and light, not a bit greasy. Salmon carpaccio was on the specials and was very good, although a bit small for the price. The ahi tower was also very good with a little kick to it. Excellent food, great waitress, and superb overall experience.
My friend and I ordered for sushi rolls which were served on the same plate and they were really good. We couldn't tell which some of the rolls apart, so it would have been nice to know which roll was which. The sushi was fresh and all the ingredients tasted good. Another friend ordered the sashimi dinner and he said it was great. Another friend ordered the tempura shrimp. It was okay, but not as crisp as it should have been.
Service was very acceptable. Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly. The place was empty when we arrived at 7. By the time we left at 8:30, it was full and there was a waiting line.
My favorite place for a special occasion. Great food and great service.
Sushi is so hit or miss in this town, but Deep Sushi is a bullseye! Their happy hour cannot be beat, and everything is always fresh and prepared perfectly.
Pretty good selection of rolls and very good
I made a last-minute reservation for my birthday. As my group and I were getting ready to head over to the restaurant I received a call stating my reservation would not be honored due to a special event going on that night.
Always fresh, always delicious, always seem to get the off-the-menu items! Plus the Pear Sake was perfect!
Love this place, would recommend to anyone to try it!!!
Deep Sushi is great. I have been here a couple times and have yet to leave hungry! Reasonable prices and a large variety. Staff is always super helpful and quick.
The restaurant called to confirm we were attending. Then when we got there they said they didn't have a reservation. But still put out tables together.
My 7 yo LOVES sushi so when I needed a place for dinner before a concert with her I chose Deep Sushi. From the moment we walked in we were extremely well cared for. Hostess was incredibly sweet and sat us immediately. Waitress was fantastic with my daughter and was able to talk to the sushi chef about making a salmon roll that was off menu. I am celiac and they were incredibly knowledgable about what options were good for me as well as making certain that all sauces used were Gluten Free. They also didn't make it feel like a huge imposition which I greatly appreciably. Nothing is worse than paying $$ for a dinner where you are made to constantly feel like a bother. I ordered the Salmon stir fry ( forgot the actual title of the dish). Great portion size and very tasty. Daughter finished off the meal with a scoop of green tea ice cream which she proclaimed the best she'd had. Thanks Deep Sushi for taking great care of us and making her night extra special:) We will definitely be back.
Good service, food was all in all, good. Not blow you out of your seat great (it's not Uchi of course) but decent rolls and sashimi at reasonable prices. Good place to go and enjoy good food and fun atmosphere.
Amazing sushi and sake- so much fun to go with friends and try the sake bombs and a bunch of different signature rolls and then hit up all the bars and clubs down in Deep Elum.
Their are better sushi places in Dallas but this has great service (ask for Kathy), good drinks and a we enjoy omakasi (off menu items) better than the regular menu
Deep Sushi is a great place for sushi. Definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in Dallas.
Good food. Creative sushi rolls. One of my faves.
Place is awesome, best sushi in the white state of Texas!!!!!
Great food, service and atmosphere. This is definitely a family favorite.
We enjoyed the sushi. Recommend the Incredible Roll! Worthy of the name. Suggest reservations. No free parking...anywhere and where you can park is crowded.
We had a great server and the sushi was great. There was quite a bit of confusion when we arrived for our reservation and we waited nearly 40 minutes but overall it was a nice meal and great service.
One of the best sushi places in Dallas, prices are reasonable for sushi. Place does get full so make a reservation just in case. A+
Great food, great service and cool atmosphere. Make sure to use opentable to make a reservation because they do get busy on certain nights. Cant wait to come back and try more rolls.
They were 35 minutes late for the reservation I placed for my friend's birthday. I was pretty disappointed overall as this was the second consecutive time reservation was very late.
Again, what is the point of reservations if I can't be seated at the time of my reservation. They need to revisit their methodology or get rid of it all together.
Food was great but I was disappointed with initial service mainly
A little pricey but worth it!
