Deep Fork Grill - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
Went for a Mother's day dinner, and was unaware of a limited menu being offered. Then surprisingly with the limited menu the entree's were warm at best. Was obviously not cooked fresh. Overall a disappointing dinner and did not entice me to put Deep Fork in consideration for future dinners.
We had Mother's Day Brunch. A special menu and the food was wonderful. I personally enjoyed the crab bisque while our ten year old has gazpacho and our oldest and my wife had salad.
We all had a filet with mashed potatoes and the sauce was delicious. Followed by s special strawberry shortcake and my wife had a peanut butter mousse. Overall excellent food, the service is top notch. Exactly what we hoped.
The appetizers were amazing - things you don't really see at other restaurants (get the fruit and cheese plate - you won't be disappointed!).
The glazes on the steak and the other meats were a bit heavy, so I would ask that they are served on the side or that the kitchen go light on them.
The desserts, oh my, the desserts! Don't deny yourself - splurge and get a dessert!
I hadn't been to Deep Fork in about a year. The food and the service was good but not great. I just didn't have the same experience as I have had in the past. The little things seemed to have changed such as no bread was brought to the table. Not sure when I'll be coming back.
We dined at Deep Fork for Easter Brunch. The food was good, nothing special. It was a prix fixe menu at $40 per plate and a 3 course meal. Salad, entree desert. The food was ok, but not fancy restaurant good. The kids meals were $16 each with only 1 course (no desert or salad) and consisted of 2 options: scrambled eggs or chicken fingers. My kids ate none of the food offered. I think the food was a bit rich for kiddos. And I'm a little sour to pay $16 each. I feel like I'm being a bit petty. I just had higher expectations. Our total bill for 5 people was $250. I would not mind paying that if I left there thinking that it was great food, but it was just a bit underwhelming.
Deep Fork is a regular favorite of ours, but we had never been there for the Happy Hour before this week. What a wonderful bargain! Most appetizers and well drinks, together with selected wines, are half-off between 5 and 7 pm (call to check the time). The apps are generously-sized, wines excellent, and drinks full-strength. The Happy Hour offerings are definitely a excellent warm-up for a great dinner and may satisfy your hunger altogether. Deep Fork does all offerings well, including fish, fowl and beef. This OKC favorite gets our heartiest recommendation.
We have been here several times but not for a while. My husband said the clam chowder soup didn't taste like anything he's ever had (in all fairness the waiter did offer to exchange). My husband ordered the steak and scallops and the scallops weren't quite done. The steak was just ok (nothing to write home about. The carrots were just boiled with no seasoning or glaze. My salmon was good and moist and the asparagus was good but very skinny. When we were done, my husband asked if I wanted dessert. The waiter came over and handed us our check without asking! So no dessert. In looking over our bill I saw that we were mistakenly charged $50 for someone else's dinner. We did use a Groupon so I hope that didn't have anything to do with it!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, I reserved a private booth and the experience was amazing. I will definitely go here again. The food was really good, the portions were great, and the staff was very friendly and polite. Wouldn't recommend for loud parties or big families. Good place to have a date or anniversary. Very romantic. It's quiet and dark. Good for price too.
