decarli restaurant is where rustic meets modern. Chef/owner, Paul DeCarli, pulls from his Swiss-Italian roots to create a menu that reflects his heritage as well as combine local Northwest ingredients. Polenta fries with gorgonzola butter, mussels in fennel-saffron cream sauce, and espresso-braised shortribs are just a few of the many "must-haves.” Soaring open beam ceilings with rustic brick walls add to the ambiance of this 1924 historic building.

Seated with reservation promptly. Took a bit to get a beverage & dinner order in. Mixed green salad was just that; a few green leafs with a small spritz of balsamic. Caesar was fine as long as you don’t mind cutting up your own heart. Spareribs were fantastic but the salmon was room temp at best and came with a suspect mussel. Dessert was great. Wine list good for Beaverton. Table next to us also sent a plate back so kitchen was batting about .500 that night. With no competition in the area, they could use a bit more effort on both sides to call themselves fine dining, even for the burbs.
The food here is spectacular. Unique options and we are never disappointed with what we order.
My only complaint is that we have to wait a long time to be waited on, and when we are, they are ready to walk away and ‘give us more time to think’ even when we are trying to ask questions about the menu. I think for the small size of the restaurant we should be checked on more frequently and giving more time to ask menu questions.
All dishes were vibrant and distinct in flavor- all delicious. For appetizers, we had the mussels, beet salad, polenta fries, carmelized onion dip. For entrees, we had the salmon ravioli like dish, the short ribs, and pork chops. And dessert we had the 3 ice cream scoops and the lemon something (it was a fried ball of goodness). Wish I had more people with me, so we could taste all the dishes. We will be back to try the rest. And our waiter was attentive and kind. Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience.
Great menu and exceptional service. I went with a girlfriend for dinner and she has a pretty extensive allergy to red wine. The waitress came back to confirm between us and the kitchen staff at least 3 times to confirm that nothing we ate would interfere. Love this place and will keep coming back!
The food was wonderful as always. We both had the butternut squash soup, it had a little chili oil floated on top to give it a nice, subtle bit of heat. I had the penne with gorgonzola, walnuts and radicchio, it was fabulous, but very rich, I took half home. Husband had the pork meatballs with tagliatelle, also very delicious. Finished with the apple crisp. Service wasn’t quite up to the usual standards, not terrible but not great either. Decarli remains one of our favorite restaurants anywhere.
The short ribs are amazing! Consistently my favorite on the menu. The beat salad they have right now is also delicious. I'd like to see more appetizer options. My group had a bit of difficulty finding appetizers that they liked. I think the diversity of the appetizers could be expanded here. Otherwise the service was great. Atmosphere is good. Only improvement I'd recommend is some tapestries or something to absorb the sound. It's a bit to loud for me to recommend for business or a cozy dinner. I hope these suggestions help. I love this place and I'm very happy it's here on the west side
Great find in Beaverton. Finally somewhere to go besides McCormick’s for a nice restaurant. Short ribs were delicious and huge portion. Beet salad also very good although I prefer a few more greens. Friend had papardelle and she said it was also very good. Chocolate bread pudding was good but I’ve had better hence 1 star drop.
Restaurant is small and tables are very close together so a bit noisy and street parking really difficult. Would be nice if they had valet.
Wine great also. Looking forward to my next visit!
This little gem 💎 never disappoints!
From the time you are greeted by the hostess, to the end of the meal 🥘 it is always outstanding!
We had friends in town from San Francisco and we decided to take them to our favorite restaurant in Beaverton!
We will return!
We went for my wife’s birthday with the kids and my daughter has Celiac so she’s gluten free. I made a note of this on my reservation.
Our server was Jordan & he was very attentive with excellent customer service. He was also very informative and dedicated to assisting our daughter with her special diet.
The food was excellent and the service was perfect.
Overall the food and experience was very good. The only downside was we thought the desert menu was a bit lacking. Not many choices and nothing we really wanted. Would be nice have tiramisu, creme brulee, or even carrot cake. We wanted desert but there was nothing on the desert menu we liked.
A decent but uninspired neighborhood restaurant. It has been around awhile and was crowded, which may explain why they didn’t seem to be trying very hard. Service was indifferent (our server studiously ignored us the first 15 minutes we were there while she exchanged life histories with the table next to us). Oysters and Caesar salad were good but entrees were mediocre. Mine was a small portion of lukewarm pasta. OK but not a destination restaurant.
Food was poor and took over an hour to arrive - we arrived at 6:45 and our entrees were served a little after 8pm. The waiter told us our orders just "hit the kitchen at the wrong time". My pasta was under cooked (It was so poorly prepared that I sent it back to the kitchen), my daughter's fish was extremely salty, and the sauce on the third entree was not at all as described on the menu. The appetizers we ordered were okay. Plus the hostess actually tried to argue that our entrees didn't take that long to arrive - no apologies, no let's talk about this so we can improve - nothing positive to end the experience. We will not go back and will certainly not recommend.
