I have been coming here for over 8 years now and I have never been disappointed. Last weekend was no different, the grilled octopus was absolutely perfect as well as the short ribs (always a delight and an absolute must-have). The staff was so very attentive and I felt very much welcomed and taken care off. If you are having trouble with your coat hanging options just let the seating host know and he/she will take care of it for you. And never worry about feeling rushed and having to leave even though the bill will be brought as soon as the dishes are cleared nobody is going to rush out the door, so sit back and enjoy your espresso after your mail and continue your conversation as you were home.
Have been here for Happy Hour and dinner and have never been disappointed in the food or service. Not a location for conversation as both the bar and dining room are very loud.
Perfect location for a birthday dinner. A little spendy for normal eating out but will return for normal dinners and special occasions.
Excellent food and service. Short ribs and brick chicken are favorites. Fabulous dessert salted caramel cheesecake. Only concern is the noise level, but meal was worth listening to others enjoying their meals, too.😉
We went for an anniversary celebration and they were quite accommodating.
Love Decarlis.....been going for years and will surely go again.
Maybe we came in the wrong week, or they just serve too unusual of items for us. I was excited to have some Italian pasta because I had heard they had gluten free. The choices were octopus and I believe shark or the one I settled for which was fennel sausage and I don't like fennel or usually eat sausage. Thankfully, I didn't notice the fennel much but the sauce was really salty. Pasta portion is small for $20. My husband said the steak was tough 🙁
love love love decarli. consistently delicious food and wonderful atmosphere
Horrible service.... food fair. Chicken dish undercooked and took 15 mins to return. Bread service dropped in front of me without the thought of putting in center of table. Not planning on returning here anytime soon.
Took awhile before anyone greeted our table. Then our salad was delivered and we waiting awhile before getting plates to eat it.
The food here is always excellent. We decided to be adventurous this time and ordered the calamari appetizer. None of the 5 of us in our party had ever tasted it except deep fried. Unfortunately, none of us liked this unusual recipe which was extremely briney, fishy tasting. Be prepared for that if you dare to try it.
We go here a lot and every friend we’ve taken has loved the food and the embiance and service.
The food is not as good as it use to be years ago. My husbands food was not hot and the chicken dish that is always excellent was just ok. Not a lot of flavor.
Love Decarli's - have since the day they opened. Shortribs are a must try at least once.
Unimpressive. The PDX food scene is only 5 miles away. The difference between Beaverton and Portlandia is huge.
Loved the everything about this place! Food and drinks were amazing as well as the service. The vibe was great as well felt like you were at a restaurant in Dtwn Portland! Who knew this was in Beaverton!
As usual, the food at Decarli was superb. They had just introduced their winter menu, and everything was outstanding. We went with the server's wine recommendation, and it was perfect, as usual. Speaking of the service, it was up to Decarli's usual high standards.
We have never had a bad experience at Decarli - Other than being a bit noisy, it is one of the best restaurants in all of Metro Portland.
Lighting is just too dark... can’t even see your menu...
Been going here several years. I’ve tried a lot of dishes which are all good but the signature short ribs are the reason I keep going back. It’s the only fine dining restaurant on the West side of Portland. The happy hour is always active but I always eat in the dining area. Love the place really. My only negative is that it would be nice if they considered ways to diminish the chatter. It’s very difficult to carry on a conversation due to the “noise” level.
Very impressed with this restaurant.
Compliments to the chef for all five of our delicious dinners!
I have been to Decarli multiple times, always impressed. I love their new seasonal items on the menu, the service is always great.
The food was terrific, For the appetizer, we had the Cazuela and we shared a tossed green salad. The bread was very good. For the main entre, we did the short rib and the spaghetti with shrimp. For the dessert, we had the Buttermilk Panna Cotta with huckleberries.
The service was very good, we had plenty of time to talk and enjoy each course. The host was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and settled in nicely before passing us off to the wait staff. The one slight complaint I had was it was a little bit noisy. Probably because the dining room is open directly to the bar, but it did not distract for an overall excellent experience.
Absolutely love DeCarli's! They change their menu so you can always expect something new to try. Everything I've had here is yummy! Close to home for those of us that live on the westside and don't want to deal with traffic and parking downtown.
Love it everytime I go there. Great food, great service, wonderful staff
A group of 5 friends got together for a fun Friday night dinner at Decarli's. We had a wonderful evening. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Food is consistent, very good! We always have great service with wonderful waitstaff, and our waiter Josh was particularly awesome this evening!
One of our very favorites! Amazing food and service without going downtown. Decent street parking. I highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert it’s the best I’ve ever had!
This is a solid restaurant in every way. Food is always excellent and our server was superb and so sweet. Noise level is right up there because of the bricks and big glass windows. We’ll be back.
We loved our dining experience. It was my birthday and the staff made me feel so special. We will be back!
We came to your restaurant as a celebration for my daughters birthday. Her birthday was acknowledged when we checked in. Then nothing.
I was also disappointed because the table water wasn't filtered. 😑
First of all let me say I normally love this restaurant and would give it 5 stars across the board.
1. We ordered drinks and our meal, salads and entree’s. When the salads were delivered we were not offered bread or fresh ground pepper for the salads. I had to flag down our wait server to request bread. I have never had to do this before and I noticed another table with the same issue. Unless there is a major shortage of bread that I am unaware of, I think the restaurant needs to correct this issue.
2. I ordered the King Salmon. It was prepared perfectly. My issue was the size of the portion, at the most 3-4 ounces. Not a good value for the money. My date ordered a pasta dish. I understand what al dente is, but this was so undercooked it was ridiculous.
Wonderful food. Conversation at our table was somewhat limited by background noise.
Once again this restaurant has not disappointed us. Our date night was very special. Ashley waited on us in the restaurant and our bartender (sorry didn't get his name) were great. Wonderful service. The menu selections were great. One of us had spaghetti that was the best she's ever had in her life. My husband had rigatonni which was really great. Dessert was apple crisp!! Highly recommend this restaurant. Make reservations as it gets very crowded.
This was my first time there. I had a special dish prepared for Beaverton Restaurant Week. It was nothing special and I was a little disappointed. I also had pizza, which was very good, especially the crust. The regular dinner menu entrees run $20 - $30. I didn't have any of them but they sounded tantalizing with some unique touches. The wine list was extensive, old and new world, but only a few were available by the glass. It was quite noisy once the place got past half full. The service was excellent!
Starting with killer polenta fries into salads and main dishes, everything was delicious and the service attentive. Definitely a "go back."
Wondering if the cooking staff has changed over, extremely heavy on the salt so much so I had to send my meal back, it was also undercooked.
This time we had an 830 PM reservation, which made for a sparse crowd, This helped tremendously with the normally high volume of the main dining room. We were able to have a pleasant conversation without yelling, and our dinner was relaxed and comfortable. As usual, the service and food were outstanding. I've never had a bad meal here, only issues with the noise. I find it interesting that after all the negative comments on noise levels, they've still not done a thing to mitigate it. There are several easy things they could do. What are they waiting for?
Excellent drinks and food. Service was great. Kudos for the chef for some amazing entrees.
Everything was great. My salmon was a little under cooked for what I asked but still delicious.
We really like this restaurant!
Unfortunately our entrees were cold and had to be redone! I am sure this was a one of a kind situation:)
