Consistently great food with friendly staff. The portion sizes could be a touch bigger and the price of wine a little cheaper but overall a good experience. Nice bathrooms too!
Exceptional for late Sunday lunch. One of the best roast beef meals I have had .
Perhaps slightly more choice for desserts
The food was absolutely perfect but we were placed between two large tables with very noisy parties going on. I would not say the noise level was energetic. It was so noisy that we could not speak to one another. Too bad because it could have been a lovely afternoon.
Relaxed, comfortable and pretty swanky place for brunch with friends. Friendly, attentive service. Food was good, though not mind-blowing and fairly pricey. Drinks particularly pricey. But it's a very pleasant environment to spend a couple of hours without feeling rushed.
Great, fun atmosphere, helpful staff, great food, well priced,
I rarely book but I come here often with clients because of the location and service. They have great team members! The drink menu and food options are amazing but it can expensive. It does get very busy, noisy and managers can seem confused so I recommend going in quieter times for a restaurant.
Food was very good and the setting nice. However, the waiter seemed so rushed it may the experience unenjoyable. Practically threw our menus and food down and so rushed he poured water on the table. No one likes to feel like the staff are too busy to be attentive to them. What’s more when our bill came it was completely wrong and twice the price of what it should have been. Just careless and a shame as the food was good.
Excellent evening with friends. It was busy and they couldn’t get us our table on time. However, they bent over backwards to look after us with a bottle of prosseco on the house. The maitre d’ was extremely professional. Would certainly recommend for a vibrant atmosphere.
Well done to the whole team, made my friends 50th really special!
This is the second time i had a meal there, food and drinks were good as always. I’m not sure whether it was the location of our table or because it was a Friday night, but the noise level were off the roof (we had to practically yell at each other across the table, and it was just the 2 of us) which made it quite unpleasant. But when i came there for a sunday lunch and sat in a different room, it was great!
Continues to be my favourite restaurant in London. Such a special place and every single member of staff is so friendly and welcoming!
Lovely food great service. We had the set menu and it was very good value. The rice pudding was stunning. Service was great. We were sitting near the bar and it got rather too loud by 7pm and we found it difficult to talk.
The food is simple but well done. Not the cheapest of this type of restaurant, but in central London, what you expect. Wine list not bad, considering the usual outrageous restaurant 300% mark up. I went early for dinner. With the bar and adjoining seating area, I would expect it to be noisy at peak times.
The food at Dean Street Townhouse was incredible. I had a haddock souffle for an appetizer, chicken dish for an entree, and tea and toffee pudding for dessert. All of it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was great. I think this is a great stop for a trip to London.
Fabulous choice for inter Harry Potter show times!
Shared a few smaller plates, like English Tapas, followed by a cream tea.
Lovely, attentive but unobtrusive staff.
We had a wonderful breakfast at Dean Street Townhouse on Sunday. The venue is great and the menu and food were excellent. The highlight for us were the staff who looked after us diligently and with a wonderful sense of humour. We will definitely be visiting again.
Very good breakfast, as expected as eaten here previously. Coffee a bit overpriced otherwise good value
Lively bistro with a real buzz. Although very busy the service was friendly and attentive. The rib eye steaks and fish and chips were all excellent and a corked bottle of Malbec was changed speedily and with no fuss - really nicely done. All in all a great place for a fun night.
Our food was very good and the service was excellent, but the noise level was very high, even for a Friday night. Another visit would be lovely, but next time I will ask for a table in the side room by the fireplace, away from the bar!
Breakfast was great
Overcrowded, was told to wait beyond 15mins of my original booking and found some staff members to be obnoxious. Disappointing service and certainly radiated the sense of “you need us more than we need you”.
Great atmosphere prompt service and fine food! Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable.
Great place to have afternoon tea, grab drinks, and hangout. My friends and I enjoyed the ambience of the place and would easily come back
It was surprisingly good both in food and service. Would highly recommend it
Usually love this place but this time we had mice under our table and were told by the manager that “this is London”. To be fair after much complaint they did take the food off the bill but just not handled well initially.
Lovely place and lovely atmosphere. Hihhly recommend to anyone wanting a business meeting or relaxed coffee
Great service, food and ambiance; made for a really enjoyable night.
Good food, beautiful cocktails as usual at Dean Street Townhouse.
Great ambiance. Vibrant crowd but still intimate and easy to have conversation. Theater menu was perfect with enough variety and allowed us to take dessert and drinks after the show.
Fantastic attentive service even though was extremely busy.?
Fantastic dinner - third time here. Highly recommend.
I'd requested a round table for 5 of us but we were seated on 2 tables pushed together. A round table was free but I was told by front of house in a very condescending manner that it was already booked and I hadn't actually booked a round table only requested one so we couldn't be moved - the waiter did his very best to improve the table seating and hats off to him - but in the 2.5hours we were in there that round table stayed free
Far too noisy!
Great food and overall a wonderful meal.
Would return !
Service and food seems to have suffered over the last few months. Same decline as Cecconi’s
Food was ok, service was terrible. The waitress was rude, nobody checked on us about how the food was or if we needed more drinks. We waited over 40 minutes for the cheque after asking. There is no way this was worth the £30 for a salad and juice. Absolute waste of time and money.
Always a must for me when I am in town. I love the atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff and the whole experience.
Bloody Marys best in town!
Sunday lunch with friends. Still a favourite - good food , great staff and lovely ambiance in the back /side room.
The Roast is incredible- it's abundant and delicious.
I find the price for the 2/3 course roast to be very good.
I do find the desserts/cakes to be underwelming.
Excellent quality of food. Very tasty. Staff were very attentive and friendly
