Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in the tri-valley. The pizza will melt in your mouth.
Birthday! Delicious food always. I had salmon/ wonderful. Others had lasagna and swordfish risotto. Salads dreamy too. Lovely dinner always awesome service and ambience. A family favorite.
The food was outstanding (the bread was delicious) but the linguine al pesto arrived lukewarm and the server did not come back to check on us until I had already eaten a fair portion (quickly). Otherwise, the service would have been five stars.
The Ligurian Fish Stew was absolutely amazing. So nice to eat in a family-owned restaurant and be treated well.
We have always loved this restaurant and celebrate great events by going there.
Small restaurant with very limited outdoor seating. Food was great, wine was also great. Staff was attentive. Would definitely go back.
This was a delicious authentic Italian dinner that was long overdue. We were so lucky to find this hidden gem on Open Table. We sat outside and it was surprisingly very quiet despite the nearby construction. The ambience wasn’t ideal but was outweighed by the wonderful service. They were very attentive and made our evening out so special. The food was amazing. We got the ravioli special, tagliatelle in ragu, and lasagna to take away! We can’t wait to return.
We have been going here for years. Have ever had poor service or a bad meal. One of our favorite restaurants.
I had the ravioli filled with some chicken and a cream sauce. It was quite tasty but light on the chicken. Also has a dinner portion side insalata mista with a creamy balsamic dressing which was good though. I had the gooey toffee cake with vanilla ice cream as a dessert which was very good. They’ll bring some nice freshly baked bread slices to smear with oil and vinegar at the beginning. Nice expansive wine list. I would come back. Excellent service.
Food would have been very good if the chef didn't have such a heavy hand with the salt.
One of my all-time favorite spots. Food is always amazing...great flavors prepared with loving care. Great menu choices, with a long list of daily specials.
Compared with other times we've been here, the food was inferior. I've had better caesar salads. The veal parm was good, but not exceptional. The sauteed spinach was excellent, as was the dessert--gooey something. The scampi dish was the most disappointing. It could have used a more flavor/sauce, but the cappellini was extremely overcooked. Perhaps I should have asked for it al dente.
We ate outside, so the ambience couldn't have been expected to be good.
Nevertheless, we'll be back, given our long history of really liking this restaurant.
There is always a welcoming smile when you enter the door. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with excellent food and fantastic service from Pepe! The food is always consistent and delish!!
Food was excellent, as was the service. It was a nice dining indoors outdoors experience. The heaters are close enough to keep you warm outside. Highly recommend!
During the pandemic, it was nice to see that the restaurant was open and the outdoor seating was enclosed by a tent with heaters. The food was superb. Such a blessing to unwind in outdoor dining.
Always reliably wonderful food!!! Highly recommend..... I rated ambiance as low because of outdoor dining situation, otherwise very very good!!!!
loved this place...Covid has really improved their dining...I always thought it was too dark inside but outside with white tents and specifically worry about business has generated a feeling of appreciation for the customer...Will be back for sure
Food and service were excellent, as always. Marked down this time for two COVID-related reasons. First, Delatorre's has added walls to the outdoor dining tent, leaving only one side uncovered which reduces the air flow (and may not comply with the county's regulations). Patrons (especially older ones) remove their mask upon being seated and often do not replace them, as though their table had a protective shield around it. The folks next to us were talking loudly and laughing, which would be great if any of them bothered to put their masks on. Others walked past us to the bathroom unmasked. As much as I love the food here, some of the patrons made me feel unsafe. Sad to say, we may wait for vaccination before returning.
We’ve been here scores of times, never disappoints. I think it’s the best restaurant in Pleasanton based on the very good food very reasonably priced.
- Pizza - best in town, we go simple and get either mushroom or pepperoni.
- wedge salad- probably my favorite wedge
- Caesar Salad - fantastic
- Cornish game hen - delicious
Finish it off with the best desert on the planet - the gooey butter cake with Chocolate and Caramel sauce and vanilla gelato. Incredible
Outdoor seating was great. We felt very safe and all the staff did a great job with masks and all was very clean. The food was great and we enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner very much!
This was an amazing restaurant. My GF and I had our valentines dinner there. The only reason I have lower scores to ambiance and noise is the forced outside seating that they have to endure. The staff treated us like family and the food was all delicious. I was able to go “off menu” and order what we wanted for an appetizer as well.
De la Torres is always wonderful!
Food was delicious. Large portions, take home for lunch the next day. Very limited outdoor seating. But a steady stream of people coming for to go orders, phone was constantly ringing, too.
This was our return to outdoor dining after a couple of months. Although I suspect the tables and chairs might be set a little less than 6 feet apart, the staff was very careful: they had masks and gloves, and handled bread with tongs. They had plenty of gas heaters and raised the temperature on request. The food was as delicious as ever and they offered a full menu. There was a longer delay than normal between the soup/salad and entree, but not long enough for us to question our waiter. We're glad Delatorre's is back. We'll be back, too-and soon.
The cedar plank salmon and lasagna were amazing! Service was excellent. We can’t wait to go back.
Food was good as always. I marked down for service and ambience because, after we were seated and served, the staff seated another couple directly behind me. I was not aware that this couple had been seated closer than six feet from me until their service had already begun. This is a good restaurant, and the staff is usually on top of things, but this time they messed up.
My meal was very good, and the service was outstanding. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the area.
We ate there with friends on Thursday, Dec 5, service and food were great as always
This amazing Italian dining has all the characters that you need to feel like you are in "ITLAY!" First, their service is out of this world....we felt like family and best of all the recommendations that were suggested made the meal perfect!! Second, the freshness of "ALL" our plates were outstanding: we had calamari, salad (mista primavera), margarita pizza, penne picante, and their homemade pudding!!! Amazing!! We ate outside with the warmth of their outstanding patio ambience!! Make the trip to small Italy!! Thank you!!
Eating at De La Torres is always a nice experience, the food and service is always excellent even with the Covid - 19 restrictions in place.
We had comfortable seating in a shielded booth, excellent service and semi-privacy. The cuisine was superb. We selected from the "Specials of the Day" menu.
My Bride had a delicious Crab Lasagna dinner with salad and a Cannelloni for desert. I had an exquisite Clam Chowder and Jambalaya Risotto with Old Fashion Spumoni ice cream for desert.
We were cheerily welcomed and politely served by attentive staff and the owner and left well satisfied if not a bit overfull.
Wonderful menu and moderate prices.
This was our second outdoor dining experience. The restaurant added canopies for protection from the elements, and patio heaters for warmth. Except for a long delay between the salads and the entrees, the service was excellent. The food was quite good, as always. Other than some parking lot noise which was beyond their control, the restaurant provided an enjoyable dining experience.
Alwaays great food! Specials are wonderful! I had Ox Tail Roman style which I have never had and it was very tasty, Others had veal (wonderful) salmon excellent and Lasanya great. Wine service and appetizers all very good too. Inside dinning is back! Thank You!
This is our go to place. The food is always good and the additional specials sometimes make it hard to pick one because they all look good. Friendly staff.
Our first indoor dining experience for almost seven months. The food was excellent, as always. The fifth star is for cleanliness and sanitizing, excellent table spacing, raised dividers between booths, and masked servers. Instead of a bread loaf to share, each diner got a single large roll with a pack of breadsticks; quite adequate. The rest of the meal was served as it would have been in the past. We felt very comfortable and relaxed, and are anxious to return.
I LOVE this place. The Italian food is the best in Pleasanton for me. Excellent!
Outdoor dining at a strip mall is hard to make nice, but they do a great job putting up a cozy, quiet seating area away from traffic. Food is always good and you never leave hungry!
Great service and outdoor accommodations for our birthday dinner! Food was great too. Must try the deep fried ravioli appetizer
Can't wait to go back. This restaurant has become a tradition
