Always a Wonderful Experience at De La Torre's, a True Neighborhood Gem!
As always, we really enjoyed our evening at Delatorre’s. It has been and remains our favorite neighborhood restaurant when we return to visit friends and family in the Bay Area. Food is consistently great with generous portions. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. We highly recommend Delatorre’s for any occasion.
One of our favorite spots for quality food
This is our favorite go-to restaurant. The food is always good. There are many daily specials.
Plenty of seafood. Their crispy coated asparagus is fantastic for an appetizer.
The food is always good. The owner is a delightful lady. Will surely come again.
The restaurant was excellent from start to finish, and since it has been in the same location for 26 years it must be good! Highly recommended
While tonight's halibut dish wasn't as good as usual, my wife and I very much enjoy De La Torre's. The rest of the meal was delicious, the service is always excellent and friendly! We will be back. :-)
We had a great experience and had 7 people for a company event. The appetizers were amazing and I had the Salmon special which melted in my mouth.
We ordered the lasagna and it was very authentic and delicious! We will definitely return to try other menu items!
Gotta love the Pizza and the dough that makes it the BEST!
This is a very good Italian restaurant. Prices are very modest and the veal parmagiana is excellent. This is a dish that is hard to find these days. Don't be put off by the fact it's in a strip shopping center. It's a nice place with a great menu and good Italian wine list.
Great food with a special Valentines menu
Valentine's Day lunch. Had late lunch reservations. Excellent pasta entrees. Attentive wait staff. Enjoyed casual ambiance.
We've been here a few times with very good experiences. This time it was for Valentine's Day, and the restaurant was extremely busy, which I suspect impacted the service a bit. Although we had good attention from the waiter, the fish we ordered was a bit overcooked although still very tasty. The waiter offered a replacement meal which we declined only because of time. But we would definitely go back again.
I was nervous booking a table at a place I love for Valentine’s Day. Needless to say they were as great as always. Food prepared perfectly, service was good and in spite of the frenzy we were not rushed at all.
Love to dine here. Service always good!
The best menu and Italian food in the East Bay by far!
The roasted chicken is a favorite. Takes a little longer to prepare but the wait is worth it
Great food. My wife and I invited two guests who have never eaten at this restaurant and they loved it
Family owned and small town feel. Probably best Italian in uptown Pleasanton, even if the cooks aren’t Italian. It took them 20 minutes to figure out alternatives for my food allergy, even though I had notified them beforehand.
Nice dinner with friends. Waitress was very personable and attentive.
Wonderful restaurant everything was superb desserts were delicious great service
The lunch experience at de la torre’s was overall okay. The food was just okay but the price was pretty cheap. The service was pretty great, all the servers were attentive and provided good recommendations.
We went to celebrate two birthdays and we've been there before. The group was 7 and the table or seating a little cramped but the restaurant is small. The food was great! They didn't have the sweetbreads as those are delicious when they do. Love this place! Will be coming back!
Great food, Great atmosphere, booth a little crowded for me 6’4” and my Date 5’11”.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Authentic East Coast style Italian menu. Three of our party of four had the pan cooked Halibut/Parma Ham Special. It was outstanding. It was tough to give up my go to dish of veal parmigiana, but well worth it. Bread and olive oil was a hit as was the antipasto appetizer. Service was spot on as usual, especially for a Saturday night.
BEST Italian place in Pleasanton! Authentic, cozy, delicious and a neighborhood gem!
Made reservations through Open Table which was easy and convenient. Arrived at the restaurant about 5 min. of or scheduled time made. Was greeted by the friendly hostess which seated us right of way to our table. The restaurant was already very busy at the time to almost full capacity. I'm do recommend making reservations here to guarantee a seating around the time you want. Once seated, we were given some bread assortment. Our Server then followed up asking for any drink order. We ordered from the Today's Special menu. Excellent choice, wife ordered the Halibut wrapped in prosciutto and I had the pan roasted chicken al mattone . Both were Delish! I would come back here.
We chose this as a New Years Eve dining spot ... brought friends who'd never been here before and they loved it as well.
Very nice as usual. We have been here many times and it never fails!
Excellent food & fast service . GreT wine recommendations I.
A wonderful authentic Italian Resturant with great kids options, good wine menu and fantastic entrees. Try the fried ravioli appetizer, gnocchi’s were amazing too. Don’t fill up on the bread though. Specials we plentiful to choose from as well.
The food is authentic. We’ve travelled in Tuscany and Piedmont areas of Italy, and have truly enjoyed this restaurant in the past, and we were looking forward to going there for a birthday dinner last night.
Our waitress was not just lacking in follow through, she seemed to have some chip on her shoulder and even appeared offended when I mentioned it was a birthday celebration. Without offering us a desert menu, she assumed we were only interested in the birthday slice of cake, which is a very thoughtful and lovely surprise, but she actually said something rude as she asked us if we wanted our bill. We were bemused, but it could have been a better experience overall. It left us feeling strange.
This is our favorite go-to Italian restaurant in Pleasanton. Food is good. De Latores is not a Pizza place but if you want good Italian give them a try. No Lasagna but they have a baked Ziti that is excellent.
It took to long to get our someone to take our orders. But in all fairness, they were very busy with holidays parties. Moreover, my food was cold by the time I got it.
Furthermore, the coffee was not good to say the least, not only cold but also old.....
Even though I like De La Torre's, I believe that the overall service was below expectations. That being said, I would go back since I believe in a second chance.
I made a reservation and the email to prove it. Showed up and they couldn’t find the reservation. Very stressful situation. Finally seated. Ordered an entree and salad. Salad came out on time but the entree came out way too early and was cold. Not quite sure how that happened. My date had soup first and it came out like warm and her meal was early and cold as well. We never received any bread. The experience was a complete flop. Very disappointing.
Loved the food, have been many times. This time I was cramped in behind a table of 6 and couldn't even get out without moving our table. Next time I will request a booth. Otherwise I highly recommend this place.
We had a small family gathering (4). The food was delicious, portions were ample, ambiance was warm and family oriented. Perfect for our occasion.
Excellent food and service. We ordered everything from the fish to pot roast stuffed pasta and everything was delicious. A neighborhood gem!
