DC Prime Steakhouse
Our mission: to provide dining and culinary excellence to every guest we serve.
We serve only USDA Prime Beef, which is the top 1% of all beef in the United States, chosen to meet or exceed our owners' rigid standards that include tenderness and taste. All of our beef is supplied by Consumers Meat Packing of Chicago, IL...purveyors to many of the finest steakhouses in the United States. The same superior standards apply to our fresh seafood, sourced direct from North Coast Seafood of Boston, MA., our whole lobsters, from the cold waters of Maine and our Mero Sea Bass Steaks, overnighted from Honolulu Fish Company, Honolulu, HI.
One of many occasions we've been here. Tonight we had waiter John. I got the 55-day dry aged strip and it was incredible. I made a remark that it's not a beginner steak. It also not a type of steak you'll find many places. My wife got a strip and crab cake. All cooked to perfection. We continue to love this place every single time we go.
From time to time they'll also have specially imported Japanese beef. They are a must try. Words simply cannot describe how much enjoyment you'll have from it.
We thank all the staff for being genuine and continued attention to detail!
DC Prime’s menu has a broad selection of unique steakhouse items. From typical filets to bone-in, dry-aged prime steaks to sea bass and other seafood.
The service was terrific. The wait staff was attentive and available.
The restaurant was full to the brim on a Thursday night.
The only unfortunate items were that the wine cooler had not been working for over a week and they ran out of a desert (Creme brûlée) early in the evening. This may have been a one time issue. But when we mentioned it to the waiter, he brought the manager over and offered us deserts and a flight of ports.
One of the best steaks we have had, tomahawk, scallops were delish, nice meal. $$$$
We have been to DC Prime several times, the last two trips were very disappointing. Service both times was less than adequate. The food was average, not anywhere near the quality I expect when I spend that amount of money. We gave it a second chance Saturday after our last experience but probably won't be going back.
DC Prime is always a great experience. The food is amazing and the wait staff excellent. We’ve had Stuart the last two times - he is very professional and very pleasant.
We have visited DC Prime several times. It has always been an excellent experience. Our waiters have been friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and prompt. Steaks are excellent and sharing is expected. With a call ahead, they have provided a bordelaise sauce for us in addition to regular menu sauces. We will return.
As always, DC Prime's friendly staff and delicious food, once again, provided for an excellent dining experience.
The food was all fantastic (steaks, salads, sides, dessert). Really good place for a special occasion or event. Very lively but not too loud.
Quite Sunday night dinner and as usual great crowd and ambiance. Tried the ribeye that was on special with Lobster tail. What a great meal! Server also suggested a wine that made the dish complete. Met some neighbors and shared music experience that kept us engaged all evening.Surprisingly special night on a quite Sunday evening.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at DC Prime. We usually order the filet mignon but this time we ordered the had the ribeye and was very delicious and flavorful. After dinner we sat on the patio for after dinner drinks and my husband smoked a cigar. We had a great time.
Another great meal at DC Prime. We shared shrimp cocktail & casear salad. Followed by filet mignon for her and steak & lobster tail for me, along with shoe string potatoes. All were terrific as was our server, John. He was personable and professional. We would recommend DC Prime to anyone looking for a great steakhouse.
We waiting over five minutes to receive steak knifes after the food arrived in spite of our attempts to find our waiter or any waiter for that matter, subsequently our steaks were cold!!!
Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Best steakhouse in Northern Va when it comes to customer service and quality of the food.
I think I've posted this before. The waitstaff and food is what you'd expect from a nice steakhouse. Where DC Prime falls short is with the host staff. You'd expect a maitre d' caliber host staff, but what you get is something you'd expect at a moderately priced chain restaurant. They don't pull the chair out, even for elderly women. They just drop your menus off and leave. It's not a huge deal at the end of the day, but that extra touch (if they had it) would have added another star to my review.
Celebrated a birthday at DC Prime and food/service were very good. Our waiter was always there when we needed him and surprised us with nice birthday dessert. However I have to say the dinner was less enjoyable due to how noisy it was. Shouldn't have to shout across table for four to be heard at a fine dining restaurant. They could alleviate that by taking out some of tables but I'm sure they try to pack in as many as possible to fill up restaurant.
Our waitstaff was well versed in her craft. The steaks were excellent and the ambience was fine.
DC prime is a great steakhouse and they do a terrific job of taking care of their customers. The staff is friendly and the food is exceptional. Steaks are some of the best I've had ... anywhere. So why only 4 stars? First off, it is noisy. The lack of sound-deadening and an open sound path from the bar to the dining room means that diners often have to repeat themselves or yell to be understood. Second, the air conditioning is at a "maximum cold" level. My wife had a shawl which we thought would be enough to keep her warm but she wound up needing my suit jacket as well. I don't know if the A/C can be adjusted, but we bloody well froze. If you are going to DC Prime, bring your earplugs and a parka, you'll have a great time.
I would go back to the bar for an upscale Happy Hour experience but would not likely recommend dinner. Service was meh... food was good but value for price was not equal. Overpriced wine.
It was an absolutely perfect spot for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was elegant, the service friendly and prompt, and the food was out of this world. I have always heard about "buttery" steaks; now I know what it means.
Great food; will definitely be back!
A little pricey, but great service and food. Loved our waiter, patient, jovial and helpful. I would go back again.
We have been to a bunch of places, but DC Prime is just unbeatable. Service, food and atmosphere are all exactly what you want with fine dining. Great wine list and cocktails as well. The people who work there make the difference. When you go be sure to ask for the Operating Owner, Rick Crowe, and Glenn Wooten the Manager. Both great guys who do all they can to be sure your time with them is one of the best dining experiences you will ever have. Also ask for Heath or Andrei to be your server. The two of them add to your having just a great time.
Very good service and the foos was exceptional. We loved the King Crabs as they were the best we have ever had. The steak and lobster were succulent and very delicious! Thank You!
Orlando was fantastic
Food was amazing as always and Heath took great care of us. We will definitely be back.
A favorite for a special occasion splurge. You can't go wrong, but expect to pay the price for perfection. Everything was exceptional from the martini to the filet to the chocolate cake. The service was fantastic (thank you Stew). Everything I expect from DC Prime.
Very nice place hidden in a office building and hotel type area in Ashburn, not far from Rt. 7. Service is top notch, wait staff is very knowledgeable. Prices high but expected for this level of quality food, service, and drink. Did not care for the steak fries, was expecting string fries or something similar, instead big 6 inch chunky fried potato wedges came to the table. Everyone at the table was disappointed with them, we did not complain, we just will not order that side again. Sides are extra, but they provide plenty for the price. Plenty of free parking. Did not sit at the bar, but it looked like a more casual part of the restaurant, big TVs in this area. AC turned down low, very chilly for us over 45 year old folks, several at the table had to wear a sweater. Don't see myself going on a regular basis, but maybe for special occasions.
Very enjoyable Anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Wayne, was extremely attentive and on point.
It was a bit loud; otherwise, everything was great.
Highly recommend DC Prime.
You immediately feel welcomed at the door. The food is delicious and the staff is phenomenal.
Went there to celebrate two of my children heading off to college.
Steak was good, skimpy on sauce on the the add-ons though... Appetizers were ridiculously not worth it, ($17 for undercooked, underseasoned, and bland fingerling potatos) Service was passable, nothing special, had to pour my own drink refills, not remotely close to what I'd expect from a restaurant of this price point.
The food and service were good but someone was experimenting with very loud music throughout our meal which disrupted our conversation . Very disappointing for an establishment with this price point. I expect better control on the ambiance.
Service was lacking. Waited over 15 minutes for service. Had to ask for bread. No water refills. Wrong order brought to table. Your prices do not reflect what you are offering.
DC Prime was a great experience, I'd recommend it to anyone.
The food and drink were absolutely DELICIOUS. The service was impeccable. It is very pricey, but you get what you pay for so I'm not complaining. We went early on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Unfortunately, our table was in direct line of site of a window where the setting sun was in my face the entire meal. I should have said something because I am confident they would have moved us.
This is our first visit to DC Prime Steakhouse celebrating my daughter's birthday.
Although the food was very expensive, it was amazingly good; the place was beautifully decorated, and the service was unbelievably professional. The only concern we encountered was our seating was in direct view of the door used for the servicers to deliver food and dirty dishes. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our dining experience and plan to return in the near future. Thanks!
Sever did not bring wine until meal was half eaten, she was asked to bring it when entree was served.
Our Second trip to DC prime was very worth it. It is a beautiful place to celebrate and we look forward to the high quality and exquisite flavors of the food. They know how to highlight the pro's as well as provide me the BEST ribeye ever. Service is excellent - knowledgeable and they know how to quickly build rapport and either engage or let you be - depending on your desires. Don't miss this experience!
