My friend and I had a really great meal here the other night with excellent service! Sausages and mash followed by cheese board. Very good! My only negative is that It’s a very quiet venue, a little bit of jazz playing would be nice.

Took my mum for Mother’s Day lunch and it was perfect! We were so well looked after, even my four-legged sister was treated like their best guest. The burgers were delicious, the wine was delicious, the doggy treat pigs ears were… delicious :D I have been here many times and plan to take mum there again next time she’s in London!

Rugby on the TV and proper pub vibes, this place wasn't exactly what I had in mind for a romantic Valentine's dinner. We were sat right next to the door as the main dining room was mostly booked out for a birthday. This meant we had to sit in a space that was more pub rugby vibes – complete with the rugby on the TV – than romantic candlelit dinner. And for what the place was charging for food and drink, I would've expected something a lot more romantic than lads lads lads. Definitely a place to grab a quick drink but not one for a nice dinner date.

There weren’t any cocktails on offer. Food choices were just ok. Service was good. Overall, it could be better, to compete against other restaurants. This was for a Saturday night dinner.

We go to Davys at least once a month and normally it’s good but on this occasion it was pretty poor. Price wise it is in line with most places but one of the specials of chicken Caesar salad being priced at £15 seemed excessive. The menu is quite limited for a large venue and doesn’t change with the season. Would be good to see something other than bangers and mash on a hot summers evening. The service was lacking in this occasion, started off fine until one of the servers went home then most of the service outside disappeared. No one really checked if we needed more drinks or if we wanted any other food, they just took the plates and glasses without a word spoken. Other customers ending up going inside to ask for service only to be told they would be out soon. I’ve also found that for a wine merchant their wine selections of only 1 type of wine i.e. 1 Pinot Grigio seems odd considering they sell many more in their shop 1 building down.

They have a lovely outdoor area around the back. The service was excellent, there was a tiny issue and they dealt with it beautifully. The fat chips are amazing! I would deafly recommend that you order some.

The staff are great and the wine list offers a brilliant selection. The refurbished dining room is a bit bland for my taste but OK. Food was good rather than exceptional. A decent night out but not ‘fine dining’.

The lamb kiev for starter had very little taste. The bouillabaisse sauce (with the hake fillet) was tepid - not sure if this is how it was supposed to be served but we had to wait a long time for our mains (had to ask the waiting staff if our mains were actually coming - even though the restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday evening). The beer battered fish and chips was very good. We had high expectations of this place but it wasn't great and I doubt we would return. Although the restaurant is quaint it had very little ambience. The chairs are comfortable though....

Very disappointed after its recent refurb they no longer have the Davy’s usual menu. Choice was so limited everyone in the restaurant was having fish and chips as that was the only meal left from the old menu. Staff were apologetic and said many people were complaining. Hopefully they will listen to their customers!

Burger and a bottle! The burgers are very good, possibly the best in Greenwich and If you feel like a blow out there’s always steak! There are some other nice dishes but what is missing is more weekly specials. Lovely staff. Quiet on a week night but there’s no harm in that. A great place to explore new wines at a reasonable overall cost. The loyalty program now equals two bottles of wine as a bonus!

Great choice of wine, one may find interesting wines to try at affordable prices. The menu is composed of routine comfort foods and sadly does not change frequently or offer interesting weekly specials. Nice hamburger to accompany excellent wine and pudding - think sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart - but more ambition from the kitchen would be an attraction when it comes to return visits.

Food was fine, steaks cooked to our order. Had to ask for hand cut chips (said on menu that steaks came with them) as got skinny chips. Server blamed staff member who took order. Servers changed several times through out meal. Puddings good, crumble could do with more custard. Had better, had worse - it was fine but not special.

Great wine list and excellent current wine recommendations are the strength. Food OK but ambience somewhat lacking in the restaurant. There is a big improvement program going on and one hopes the kitchen will be a bit more adventurous.

The new seasonal menu offers some good food. The seafood linguine was very nice with lots of seafood. Staff are as usual very friendly and the only duff moment came with producing a warm bottle of rose! It was replaced by one from the fridge but come on this is a wine bar! There should be no reason to serve wine at the long temperature! A large improvement program is in place and one hopes a few fridges will be installed!

Return trip and not disappointed. Busy night with large groups but thoughtfully placed in slightly quieter area. Attentive service - if you were wishing to rush through the meal, due to being busy may have been disappointed, but we were there to relax and celebrate. Good food and naturally extensive wine list - we will return.

We had such a lovely meal and evening, and we cannot wait to be back! The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly! There is also a lovely beer garden behind the restaurant! Definitely go if you want a lovely meal in Greenwich :)

Excellent value set menu provides an alternative to pub grub like fish and chips! Everything was delicious and of course the wine was excellent and from a very well chosen list. Staff were charming and efficient. A pleasant place to eat in Greenwich and now that spring is here the outside tables will surely fill up!
