This was my seventh time at Davio’s. Every experience has been great. This past Saturday my only complaint was the server was not attentive. My prior visits the servers were outstanding. It may have just been an off night for the server. Brandon who was either the wine steward or maître d’ was absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend going to Davio’s. You will love it. The food is incredible.
If you love meat, this is your place. Had the pork chop - not the most tender I have ever had, but good enough. My wife had halibut with lobster which she loved. Very pricey restaurant. Great location and very classic dining room.
Make sure you ask for Omar!
My wife and I were looking for an upscale dinner while we were spending the night in Philly.
After searching different locations, I came across Davio's menu. Once I saw the Lobster Risotto (My wife's favorite) I knew this was where we were going.
Right away I knew we made the right choice.
The dining area was quiet, the staff was friendly and the food was amazingly delicious.
Our waiter Omar was especially amazing! He was attentive and friendly. We joked around a little and had some good conversation. Make sure you request Omar when you go!
The rest of the staff and managers also checked in on us which always is a plus at any restaurant.
Definitely add Davio's to your list of must visit places in Philly.
Neal our waiter makes it special and we like the variety and quality of the food. And the location is excellent. It is a bit noisy but very nice
I was celebrating becoming Dr. Hill at Davio's this past Thursday, and I had a wonderful time! Thank you again, Davio's, for making my special occasions absolutely SPECTACULAR!! The service was impeccable and our waiter was excellent! The food was palatable! My guests and I were welcomed wonderfully to Davio's! I will return again and again! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
I have never been to this location ever before. I have to say our server was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Incredible recommendations, food, ambiance, and staff. We had the executive chef Christopher come touch our table and the sommelier recommended an incredible wine selection!! One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!!! I will return and will be telling everyone how incredible the meal was. Thank you!
Another great meal at this location. Also learned that their products are on QVC??
We stopped at the bar for a cocktail. Drinks were great and both bartenders were very charming and engaging. Then we went to our table which was at the other end of the restaurant. Ok we could people watch and enjoy the scene. But it went downhill from there. It took 3 requests to get popovers that were not cold. Entree's were the pan roasted lobster and lobster risotto. They were ok not anything to order again. Service was spotty at best and with our table location we could see our server being extremely attentive to his other tables . Very frustrating. We had high hopes but they were dashed by the subpar service and mediocre food. We told the hostess on the way out we should have eaten at the bar.
Davio’s is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia! Food is just outstanding! And the service is the BEST in the City!!! Don’t even hesitate to go there.
Davio's is my go to place when visiting the city. It is consistently enjoyable, with good food service and ambiance. It is to the point that the staff know us and we know the staff. The menu shifts throughout the year, but is always worth trying.
Even had on of the staff recognize I graduated from VA Tech and their nicknamed the "Hokies". Way to go.
Had Lunch before going to the Flower Show. Staff was very friendly and would stop by to chat during any lull in the meal. Thought everyone was great and looked to make sure we enjoyed the dining experience. It was that way for all the customers. Great place, people and food.
I had the crab cake sandwich without the roll. Although the crabcake was a good size, it was largely flavorless and also had been burned in spots.
Was our first time dining at Davio’s . We went for my husbands birthday and we did enjoy ourselves. The service was excellent ,however the place is somewhat overpriced (esp. alcohol). Very aggravating to see such overpriced wine you could almost say gouging so no I would not recommend to a friend.
Really enjoyed our meal. Dinner service was great. Bartender can be a little grumpy but eventually warms up.
I absolutely loved this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food delicious. I especially loved the gnocchi entree ordered. I went back the next night and got a half order of it at the bar because I loved it so much.
As usual the almost overwhelming good will and hospitality starts before you even reach the reservation desk. The bus boys welcome you the waiters welcome you the hostess welcomes you with what seems like an excess of exuberance just spilling over imto that little task. The service is so naturel and well imformed that you just relax into pamper me mode. The food is perfect. Every popover, cocktail and menu choice seems important but not too serious to the personnel and the sommelier is knowledgeable and helpful without a hint of superiority. The meats are fabulous, the desserts are luscious and the appetizers can be great if carefully chosen. I personally could live without the many wierd springrolls. But other choices were fabulous and we had a wonderfull meal as usual.
The service is always impeccable as the food
My first visit there, but not my last. I was a lone diner and they were very attentive to my needs. Loved it.
Loved the service, wine collection, calamari apetizer. Wish the menu has more chicken entrees.
Bad experience with service and seating (a thoroughfare for service staff) that just made the overall experience unpleasant. I never plan to go to this place for personal or professional meal event.
The only real disappointment was the ridiculous mark-up in the price of wine. It was often 3X or more than regular prices, and the variety at the low end of the range was very limited. But then again, when you are marking up $30 bottles to $90, I guess there is not much a a low end of the range that is left. I do not have a problem spending $100+ for wine, but not when the price is so inflated.
Brunch menu was extensive. Waffles were delicious as was Kennett square frittata. Crispy bacon was also perfect. Adding a mimosa was a perfect option. Cannot wait to try dinner.
Everything was wonderful . The staff went over and be young to take care of us. They address us by names. That was impressive
Absolutely love Davio's, food was amazing as always! Such a great spot for a special date night. Love the philly cheesesteak rolls as an appetizer. You will not be disappointed no matter what you get!
Steaks were delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. Perfect date night location.
Everything was fantastic from drinks, to waitress, to desert! Thanks for a great Valentines Day!
Always a top notch experience. Food was great including cheesesteak spring rolls, lobster and veal chop. The hot chocolate cake dessert was very tasty too. The service is very friendly and accommodating.
There were four of us, and this was our first time. Katie, our server, was especially attentive. We were seated promptly, even though the place was very busy. Other servers helped us with our coats and made us feel welcome. Food choices were thoroughly explained. The scallops and 18 oz. ribeye were especially good, as was my flatiron steak, which came as a complete meal with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Drinks were good (and not skimpy). Atmosphere was pleasant, vibrant and conversational. It was pricey (so bring the credit card), but was worth the experience.
The food was excellent the service was okay as our server was too busy with another table and the table location was terrible as there was a large party next to us and we specifically asked for a special area for our 45th wedding anniversary lot of restaurants in Philly I'll think twice about returning
Great food! Great service and very nice location. It was a wonderful experience for my wife and I.
Another great experience at Davio’s. Haven’t been here in a little while but it was a great meal. My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Davio’s. We love this place.
Made a reservation the day before for a Saturday evening dinner
Best service and food
I was really looking forward to my first meal at Davio's but was very underwhelmed by the quality of our breakfast yesterday. We all ordered the buffet and it just didn't impress me at all. I had heard such good things about Davio's and was expecting so much more than what I'd find at the cheap dinner buffet in my town, but that's pretty much what we got. I instantly had remorse that I ordered the buffet instead of an omelette or breakfast sandwich. The scrambled eggs were this clumpy mass and pretty tasteless. Overall, other than the pastry choices, is was just such a basic offering. Very disappointed.
I was seated next to a partition close to the kitchen entrance. There was a large table of 8 behind me. Servers bumped into my chair no less than 10 times during the course of our meal. It was beyond frustrating. They did not seem to notice as they were in a hurry. I just did not feel like a valued customer. Will not return. Better restaurants at this price point!in the city.
Don't bother. It was mediocre food that had us all sick the next day!
Excellent!!!!! The staff made us feel as if we were the only two in the restaurant. The food was perfect. I had the double pork chop and she had the scallops. Cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning.
Our server was lovely and the food was really outstanding! I look forward to returning again soon.
This restaurant does not disappoint with the high level of service, attentive wait staff and delicious food. The menu accommodates food allergies (e.g. celiac/gluten free) and the wine list is extensive. We are repeat guests and will definitely visit again.
