Davio's - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
This was our very first visit to Davio’s. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely spectacular in every respect. Christian our waiter could not have been any more attentive or professional. I am disappointed in that we did not find this restaurant sooner, it will become one of our favorites very soon
Our party enjoyed a superb Center City Restaurant Week lunch at Davio's this past week . The potato-leek soup and the salmon with lentils main course were both perfect. The portions were so generous that we barely had room for dessert. Well done and highly recommended!
Disappointingly salty food from appetizer to entree for restaurant week. Seasonal sampler for dessert also unimpressive. Disappointing because I remember going here before and ordering off of their normal menu and it was amazing, but restaurant week just doesn't live up to their usual food quality. Perhaps it was a different chef or they just don't care to try as hard for restaurant week. Service was still great, food - for restaurant week - was just... disappointing.
I dined here with a party of 3 during Philadelphia restaurant week. We started off with the cheese steak rolls and buffalo chicken rolls. They were pretty good. My husband had the short ribs, I had the lobster risotto, my friend had the filet mignon with asparagus, and her husband had the lobster risotto. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. Our desserts were also very tasty (flowerless chocolate cake, cake sampler, vanilla gelato and chocolate syrup). We plan to return to Davio’s again in the near future.
Oh my goodness, first timer and definitely will be returning! Went for lunch/brunch on Sunday and was greeted right away, and taken to our table. Our waitress was very helpful when it came to recommendations of wine and a dish to pick. My boyfriend LOVED they beef ribs (which the waitress recommended), I had the chicken panini and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh and flavorful.
Were there for a 8th Birthday get-together due to the great kids menu. So there with three kids 8 -6 years old and our food takes forever to come out. The tables around us, arrived after us yet were served their food 10-15 minutes before us. One of the kids pizzas was burnt on the bottom, my steak came out cold, and the our other main dish had a poor taste to the potatoes. Normally the food is very good, but on this occasion it was very poor.
Service was spotty, could be because the wait staff was watching the eagles game. I understand that but when my bill comes to close to $300, I would expect better service.
We've been dining AT Davio's Philly for years since it opened almost 20 years ago and it NEVER disappoints. The menu is ample with something for everyone along with superb steaks, pastas and seafood, and the food is excellent. The ambiance is lovely and spacious , and the service is impeccable. Davio's Philly has been consistently an excellent choice for fine dining in Center City.
Consistently good food on an interesting and varied menu. This was a birthday celebration for my partner. We had a great time, and the service we received was friendly yet highly professional. Neil was not working that day but we did not miss a step with our server, Christian.
Davio's absolutely exceeded our expectations! We went for a date night at 8pm on New Years Eve, and not only was the restaurant running like a well-oiled machine, the noise level wasn't outrageous at all, we didn't wait long for any of our drinks or food, and Tanya took phenomenal care of us, including recommendations and the perfect amount of attention. We had the grilled octopus appetizer that was honestly incredible, a delicious bucatini dish, I had filet and he had the veal chop. Both (all) were amazing and perfectly prepared. We were so full we couldn't even look at the dessert cart, but I couldn't give this experience any higher of a review. Absolutely recommend.
I believe Davios has the best service in the city and the food quality is second to none...especially for someone with Celiac. What an amazing opportunity to enjoy Italian favorites (including a special GF bread) that are gluten free! This is our favorite restaurant in the city.
Great Italian steakhouse, but with a varied and appealing menu. Server was informative and attentive. My husband had wonderfully tender and juicy roasted chicken and I had pasta in a light red sauce with crab. Both simple but perfectly done. Pineapple cake for dessert was light and refreshing. Sophisticated and civilized atmosphere in a spacious second floor setting with large windows.
First time and it was a treat worth waiting for. Staying at the Palomar where they gave Davio’s great reviews. They weren’t wrong. Maria steered me to the scallops—excellent, and the Justin Bieber onion rings. She did a great job as did the chef and the rest of the very attentive staff.
