Service & food were excellent. Noise level a little too much.
The bar was very busy-as usual. We set at a booth in the bar area-it was great. The noise level there was lower than in the dining room. Food and service were great-as usual!
Anniversary
Friendly and informative wait staff. Fun dining in a very nice setting.
Great dinner.
Grew up in Lynnfield but had not been back in years.
Davio’s is an excellent dining experience. The wait staff is very attentive and food was exquisite.
I highly recommend for special occasions.
Our waitress was awesome-Lydia
Love Davio’s! The wait staff are all so attentive here and the food is always great!
Very loud. Food was good.
Food was incredible. Hostess had no personality and seemed put out that she had to deal with us. We were celebrating an anniversary and they sat us in the bar area which was packed and very noisy. Not sure I would go back to this location.
Davio’s is our 1st choice because it is always a wonderful meal with great service !
Excellent Food!!!
We chose this restaurant because one person in our party needed a gluten-free menu. Our expectations for the restaurant's ability to accommodate our dietary needs were exceeded. Davio's has the most amazing popovers. I had the baked haddock with crab cake encrusted on top with the summer mixed vegetables. It was absolutely delightful. The wait staff was friendly, accommodating, patient, informative, everything you would want in a wait staff. I could not be more pleased with the service provided by this restaurant. They truly are customer-centered in addition to delivering high quality, delicious, food.
Overall, a mediocre dining experience, with a couple of annoying points. The restaurant was not even half full, but our waitress was rarely visible, both before we ordered, while eating, and while waiting for the check. When she made herself available, her manor was perfunctory. Every exchange felt very scripted. The food was mixed. My petite filets were tasty and done as requested. However, about a third of my wife's double-thick pork chop, which she requested to be cooked "medium" was quite rare. Not just pink, which is nice, I mean raw and wiggly. If we had seen our waitress across all the empty tables, we would have said something. When we were done, with a whole lot of rare pork chop left on my wife's plate, she did not ask us about it. She then launched into the dessert spiel without inquiring if we wanted dessert. We were ready to leave by then. Sorry, Davio's of Lynnfield, but you have not cloned the original Boston location's magic.
Everything is always wonderful. The food is excellent and the wait staff is excellent.
Went there to celebrate my birthday. Pre dinner drinks were fine at the bar but there is a waiting list to sit down so its standing room only. Our waitress was experienced but hard to hear with the noise level and was not very entertaining or energetic. When I pay that much for a meal I want my server to be engaging and she was anything but. She seemed a bit put off when we were not ready to order our entree at the same time as our appetizer. For the appetizer we had the muscles. I have had muscles a lot and these were not very good. For one, the were huge and slightly under cooked so the consistency was difficult to tolerate. However, The tomato based sauce was very good. This is supposed to be a northern Italian Steak house. But yet, they serve pop-overs as their bread. When I go Italian I want a nice crusty bread not a butter filled pop-over, I realize that that is a preference thing but if I want butter I go french, not Italian. I got the filet cooked medium rare and my wife got the half order of scallops. My steak came cooked medium at best and it included my wifes' half order of scallops on the same plate. Unless they thought she wasn't eating I'm not sure how this happens. I did not return the steak and it was tender and tasty. For sides we got the brussel sprouts and onion rings and both were fine. We got the "Davios Reserve" wine by the glass with our meal, AKA house wine. At $16 a glass for a measured pour not really worth it. In summary meal was just ok but if you are spending $200 for dinner for two there are too many other options to go back any time soon.
My wife and I have been to 3 other Davio’s so of course when we were in the area we had to try out the Lynnfield location. As usual Davio’s did not disappoint. From the hostess to the server the experience was 5-Star. The Pinot Noir reserve, pop overs, Caesar salad and the bolognese were all excellent.
Daughters 14th bday. Pasta Appetizer was awful..over cooked ..2 steaks weren’t cooked right. Short ribs were tough. Overall bad experience which stinks cause it’s where my daughter chose to invite along who have never eaten there and probably never will again. My family gets take out probably once a month at which time they ALWAYS forget or messed up at least one thing every time. We go for convenience but won’t rush back
Everything was good. Not great, but good.
Food was excellent as always. Time between apps and dinner much longer than normal especially on a slow Monday night.
We mentioned when we called to confirm reservation that we were celebrating a birthday that the hostess said would make a note of it, but it was never acknowledged during the night.
We also asked for a second round of pop overs that we love that never came.
Food was Excellent.
The staff was amazing as well as the food!! Great job!
We went for Easter Brunch
Great time !
Lisa our waitress was outstanding. So knowledgeable of the menu. She made our evening more special !
We were celebrating my mom’s 85th Birthday . Arrived on time and there were only a few diners, plus a private party in the front room. My 3 1/2 year old grandson who is an experienced NYC restaurant patron was with us. Our server seemed pleasant but proved to be oblivious. She never followed up on an inquiry regarding the pasta ingredients(grandson has egg allergy) and disappeared for long stretches. The meal was very protracted, taking over 2 hours. My lamb ragu pappardelle contained pieces of tendon and gristle but was otherwise flavorful. The long wait for his pasta proved to be too much for the 3 year old. Thankfully the JP Licks cow and the green space with games was available and we took turns taking him outside. Having lunched here several times before I was very disappointed in Saturday’s experience.
I am not one to leave reviews but both my husband and I were so disappointed by Davio’s. We were really excited to go as we’ve heard good things! It was restaurant week so maybe slightly busier than usual, but we did not order from the RW menu. The location of our table was terrible, a two seater pushed up against a column in the middle of many huge tables which means I was bumped into by guests and multiple servers the entire night. The drinks were very watered down when we received them, each course took forever and by the time it got to us was lukewarm, including tuna tartare which has to be cold to enjoy. Overall just not what you expect when you go to a nice restaurant, especially when you receive the $130 bill. We won’t be returning.
Just awesome! It was my date first time there and she really enjoyed it!
First time at Lynnfield location. Same great food and service at Davios! Truly enjoyable.
Server was awesome as were busboys. Food delicious as always! One of my favorite places!
Service and food is always flawless. We've been a regular since this location opened and it never missed a beat.
Always my favorite! The food and service is always the best.
I came here with my sister for lunch for Restaurant week. It was great! I love the exotic mushroom and lamb pasta! yum !!!
As always excellent in every way.
We like Davio's quite a bit and we had heard that they were now offering a special Awaken 180 menu for those who are on that health plan. Since we are in the midst of trying that plan, it offered us the opportunity to enjoy this restaurant without "cheating" on our diets! Thanks for adding this option!!!!
My first time eating at Davio’s. I sat at the bar and had amazing service. Told the bartender/waitress what I wanted to eat(meat and pasta but not spaghetti). Her suggestion was spot on with the bolognese. Ordered the creme brûlée for dessert. Also amazing and perfectly portioned. To top it off they were playing awesome 90’s jams!
We had a great time and enjoyed the Awaken 180 selections
Service and food were excellent. We went for Dine out Boston and everything was wonderful. If you are a foodie and enjoy great drinks, this is the place to good.
Great cuisine. Plus the service was impeccable! Will definitely return.
Excellent as usual.
Great meal and well priced as we took advantage of the twice a year Prix Fixed Restaurant Week Menu. Noise level increased as the night went on and the restaurant filled up but an overall excellent experience as always.
Wonderful lunch during restaurant week. Great presentation and delicious! Wait staff was very attentive. Will definitely be back.
