DaVinci Ristorante & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
Very nice place for a date! My only complaints are 1) their rule that happy hour menu prices are only available on the bottom floor by the bar and 2) the online menu wasn't updated to reflect what was currently available. I was really looking forward to ceviche from the online menu, but didn't see it on the current one.
Enjoyed a dinner with family at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, my daughter loved the fresh oysters and my husband and I each tried a different salad to start. We were very pleased - fresh ingredients, well-prepared. All of us were very happy with our main courses, especially the chicken under a brick. The portions were generous and the chicken was tender and flavorful. Loved the flat bread too! The service was excellent - our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We will return next time we are in town.
We arrived on time for our dinner reservation, waited for 10 minutes to get seated, had someone take our wine order and after another 20 minutes, when no one brought our wine or checked on us, we left. I should mention that we watched a group of people get seated, waited on and served within the 20 minutes. Was there to celebrate my parents' 55th anniversary. Had a great meal at Bari down the block. Fantastic food and great service.
The food was great, the service was so, so. It was our anniversary and we requested a certain table and our reservations was not too long after they started serving dinner, so we thought it would not be a big deal to get that table but obviously it was because the waiter didn't even look at our reservation or the fact it was our anniversary and had already seated some people at the table that appeared to be there just for happy hour. We were seated instead in an area with children and our service was so so. Have eaten their before and have enjoyed it but not this time. Will have a hard time going back
We have been eating at DaVici for over twenty five years and never get tired of it! Mo is always keeping the menus different and interesting with his main emphasis on serving fresh delicious tasting ingredients! The ambiance is wonderfully unique for Salem. Several nights a week you can enjoy great piano music by Tom and occasionally a top quality jazz group with world class singers! Mike and Maggie
Had tickets for a show at Elsinore so location was very convenient. Great service and very good food! We were seated immediately upstairs without getting to see what was downstairs so Sort of felt "left out of the party!" Maybe there was only the bar downstairs but never really got to see! It just felt like all the activity was downstairs. But we really enjoyed it and will return when in the area.
Our server was Richard for the evening, I was undecided on what to get for dinner but it was between two choices. Asked him what he would do and he explained the differences in the dishes I ended up taking his suggestion of the Orcchiette and was not disappointed. He also made a suggestion of coming back in the summer time when the heirloom tomatoes were in season and giving them a try, neither of us are fans of tomatoes.
An outstanding dining experience every single time we dine here. The attention by every person from host to server is beyond our expectations. The menu changes seasonally, and always offers creative, fresh, delicious options from appetizers to entrees to out of this world desserts. It is an absolute gem in Salem. Consistent in their service, meal execution and overall experience, DaVinci's is a must.
We were seated downstairs in the lovely area in the back of the restaurant. It felt like we were visiting a private wine cellar. Our server was outstanding with excellent food and wine recommendations. The four of us enjoyed every moment and the dishes were memorable. We look forward to dining at DaVinci Ristorante next time we are in Salem.
