David's Club Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
The food was good but, unfortunately, we barely had time to eat it. Arrived at 5pm and let the server know we needed to be finished by 6:30 to attend an event. Ordered mains at 5:20. No food had arrived by 6:10. I noticed the neighboring tables were having similar issues. Finally got up and walked over to the wait stand to get the attention of our server. She was very apologetic and then she and the dining room manager went around to all the affected tables apologizing. Shortly thereafter our food came out and the server promptly brought the check as I had requested. We were given a discount on the food as well. The server indicated there was a problem in the kitchen. Clearly. I appreciated the quick response once I brought the issue to her attention and I appreciated the discount but the reality is we had 10 minutes to bolt down a dinner we had set aside 90 minutes for and no one did anything about whatever the issue in the kitchen was -- or even noticed -- until I literally had to get up to go to our server to request, well, service. I spent a few years in the restaurant business and am well aware that a kitchen can have a bad night or that something could be going on behind the scenes that the customer is unaware of but it is the server's job to at the very least communicate with their customers -- particularly customers that have shared a time constraints.
The food was a very poor, inconsistent experience.
My food came out cold (it was supposed to be hot - chicken in a bourbon glaze sauce with corn and beans) and then when they brought it back hot it was a different dish (chicken on a bowl filled with corn) that tasted nothing like the first one. Tasted very bland and who eats chicken on a bed of corn? My daughter’s meal of chicken wings had a very salty and aggressive rub on them. Not tasty. Overpowered everything.
Our server was awesome though. Super friendly, super efficient and really nice!
Place was packed. So noisy you could not hear your table mate. Service was slow, probably due to the amount of guests. But the server was nice at least. Hamburger was extremely good. They need to find a way to Reduce some of the sound. It was uncomfortable.
No one greeted us at the door until we stood for 8 minutes. We were seated without menus. No high chairs were available. Server tried to compensate, but we were very disappointed with the experience. It was our second visit here, & the first visit wasn’t much better. They need to up their game!!
Good bar selections and service. Probably a poor selection on my part for a dinner with 6 friends. We enjoyed good appetizers but declined to stay for dinner as the menu was more appropriate for the sports bar setting. I would go back, but only for drinks and appetizers.
Very loud. Super Bowl sunday. We had a great table but service was poor. One of my friends never even got her food. We struggled to get drink refills. My Cobb salad was just OK with the meat in it tough and chewy. I asked for more dressing..never got it. Possibly short staffed but so loud 5 of my party got food to go and left as it was giving them headaches. Wings were good.
The service was slow and the server was rude. Food was cold and the Server tried to add a double gratuity on one of the checks and went to correct it and brought out the same exact check hoping that no one would notice the double gratuity. We will not eat there again.
Our hostess greeted us by name and chose a lovely quiet table. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and served beautifully presented main courses. The carrot cake layered dessert was yummy. Thank you David's for a perfect dining experience.
I made two reservations for midday. Both were accepted and I received a confirmation email. The restaurant does not open until 4:00 pm, so we had to make other plans on the fly (during a large convention.) It is terrible customer service to accept reservations for times you are not open.
It was great service, great food. Also a great game as we game to see the gigantic t.v. during the 50 annual Super bowl. We did not get the buffet it was $50 a person a little high for me. We instead got some wings and the chicken pot pie which is to die for. The wings are good too. They were pretty busy as it was the Super Bowl but still took care of us nicely.
The prices were fair. I'm very fortunate to have made a reservation or there would not have been an evening there. It was busy and quite loud. We waited a long time for food and people who were sat after us were served before us; so that was absolutely inexcusable. But the quality of food and drinks was great.
Our server was very nice. The restaurant was very convenient because we were staying at the hotel. I wasn't completely thrilled with my meal. I had the Jambalaya and I didn't enjoy it. My boyfriend had one of the burgers. He told me he liked it, but it wasn't the best burger he's ever had. I will say it was a massive burger. We probably wouldn't dine here again.
We were surprised to find a Gastro Pub in the Hilton in Orlando, and frankly were a little cynical but hungry. We were even more surprised, pleasantly, that this was a great choice. Food was as expected for a Gastro, I had their signature burger which was excellent and my fiancé had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Both were far and above normal and truly a great meal. On top of this they completed the experience with top shelf bartenders and great service. This is definitely a do it again place.
We were staying at the Orlando Hilton for a conference and it was very convenient to have dinner at David's Club. While the menu isn't huge, we were able to find several items that we liked on the menu. Our waiter was very nice and gave us good advice on what to order. My husband and I split the Caesar salad which was delicious. My husband had the beef stew for dinner and I had the salmon. Both dishes were great!
The menu is less diverse and has changed. Additionally, the expenses have gone up. It is $19 for a burger and $15 for a turkey sandwich. The food was tasty and service was superb but not worth the cost. I would recommend people leave the hotel if they can and eat elsewhere. They will get much more bang for their buck. Even room service has a more diverse menu!
Was looking for a late night dinner & this seemed promising. They weren't too busy after 10PM, when we arrived, & had plenty of different seating options. Yana who was our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu & drinks and made some very thoughtful suggestions. The cocktails were top notch and the food was very good. Overall, very impressed with the service received & would definitely visit again when in town. The evening elevated my appreciation for Hilton's commitment to hospitality & attention to detail.
My daughter and I vacationed at The Hilton Orlando and ate here one evening. We ended up only having dessert...menu too adult orientated. The desserts were amazing though! I had the Bananas Foster...SO good!...she had the Chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on the side...they could have been meals on their own!
