David Burke Prime at Foxwoods Ratings and Reviews
I’ve been to David Burke a number of occasions and the food definitely does not disappoint. You MUST order the Caesar salad, hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The sides and steaks are always delicious as well. My main issue with this trip was that the shrimp were just average and they had a very sweet ketchup like sauce covering them. When you are paying that much you expect everything to be excellent.
Came to celebrate my husbands birthday....We did the pre-fixe for $49. There were plenty of selections from the menu and the food was amazing . The restaurant was not cheap with their portions. The service was great and always a smile on their faces!! Would definitely recommend!!
I had a 630 reservation. Upon arrival the host attempted to seat us at a table for two, next to the service station. We requested another table and were seated in a semi private room overlooking the lobby. Better, but not ideal.
My girlfriend did not have an appetizer. I had the butternut squash soup which was absolutely out of this world. Highly recommended. My companion ordered the Scallop entree which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Kansas in bone Sirloin steak medium. First off, the steak was drastically undercooked after the edges were cut away. Secondly, it was a terrible cut of meat, veiny and beyond chewy. For a $70 Steak, it was horrendous. If for the fact that we were pressed for time because we were seeing a show, I would have returned it a ordered an entirely different cut. There are very limited supposed upscale dining areas at Foxwoods so you're extremely limited in your choice.
The food was delicious.
Just a couple things that I feel would be worth mentioning.
We had several servers waiting on our table. After one would come ask if we needed anything, such as a drink, a minute later another would come and ask if we wanted a drink. This happened through the entire dinner. So, we were constantly being interrupted. Then a manager came to make sure everything was ok. A little over kill.
When we received our check, I asked one of our waitors to put half on the credit card and bring me the change back from the cash. I never saw him again. I called over one of our other servers to explain what happened. She left and came back about 10 minutes later with my cash. The server who kept my cash never came back to even apologize. I hesitated leaving the tip that I did but I realize we had other servers.
Although we were prepared for the prices, I ordered the sirloin which was just a sirloin. No sides were included so I got a baked potato for an extra $12.00. Yes. All sides were $12.00 each. This baked potato was large but that was it. No seasoning on the skin while it baked. Very plain. I had to ask the server for salt and pepper. Husband ordered shrimp and filet minion for $56. He did get spinach mashed potatoes with it. It was meh. Volume in the place was loud due to the crowd. Very casual atmosphere - very open seating. Our bill came to $140 with me having water and husband having lemonade.
The octopus appetizer was sent back.
the fish was tough and "fishy" the salad cold and soggy.
The purple potatoes with the pock chop (which was cooked and seasoned well) where horrible both in texture and taste; the lobster and short rib wraps were nice; the mac and cheese was creamy; The surf and turf. the streak was perfect and lobster boring.
The service was great.
The food was out of this world. Service was fast and the food presentation was perfect. Only thing I would change is your table was right by the ramp that bought the food up. My chair was right in the flight path. Not a big deal I just moved to the side of the table. Everything else was perfect
the appetizers were very good, my wife had the 55 day dry aged ribeye and it was outstanding, my steak was the 75 day dry aged ribeye which was cooked perfectly although it was a little to aged for my taste. We would recommend the restaurant to all our friends.
