About
Would recommend the venue the show was very good really enjoyed Edwin McCain. The food however was disappointing and very hard to get a drink.
Absolutely love Daryl' House... GREAT music , Good food... makes a GREAT NIGHT OUT!
The food was really good . And to see Jake Shimbukura was an incredible experience. The ride from Port Ewen was easy too. I have recommended it to others.
Is worth stopping by to check out the place and try the menu to start. Looks like they get a nice selection of bands playing and seats are a premium. Would be worth seeing a show if in the area.
Only problem we had it that we got
placed in the back room and couldn’t see the show only on a tv, no one answered the
phone or called back .If I knew we would be sitting in the back I probably wouldn’t have gone
Made reservations for a table, and went to get the table but they told me that the kitchen was closed...So I would make sure if you’re going there that the kitchen is open before you make a reservation. But I loved the space and it was a wonderful show. I already recommend it to friends to see a show. I’ll be looking for concerts there first before I look other places.
Arrived a bit early but had to wait past the reserved time for a table Waited in the bar area and drinks were a bit expensive. After that we were seated and everything got better. The server was very good and the filet mignon. Was tender and delicious. The atmosphere was gonna d with video feeds of Daryl and friends performing. Then the main act Dana Fuchs came on and was wonderful. Standing O.
The rumours are true about the excellent food at Daryl's House.
Food was great and the wait staff and door greeters were very attentative. Had a good table close to the stage and the performers were excellent. Definitely going back. Many good pictures on the walls to check out. Some menu items are a little pricey though.
Great food! Service was a bit lacking at some points during our dinner. Otherwise a really good experience.
The food and service was terrific and our waiter outstanding.. The band, Union Rail was an awesome surprise. Not too loud and great music. We had brunch on a miserable ice stormy type day but the food and service brightened our day.
Intimate restaurant, bar and music hall. Excellent food and sound system for live music performances. Service was just a tad slow, but friendly.
outstanding service the drinks and food came out in a timely manner and the band was great would definitely would recommend this anyone
Good food, better than typical bar food and the music is always top notch.
The Acoustic Brunch was very enjoyable! Excellent performer (Shawn Taylor) playing acoustic tunes and great food, as well. Will definitely be returning for another Acoustic Brunch and an evening non-acoustic performance as the venue has great sound and ambiance.
We had amazing time. Our service was quick and friendly.
Great food at a good price, and the bands are terrific.
Awesome fun - always! Great music venue! Great bands and fun people!
It was our first time there I tried to call several times I wanted to upgrade my seats and the went on this app to make dinner reservations then an hour before receive a call saying opentable over booked and they couldn’t honor our reservation which I made in 12-20-18 needless to say I was very upset & that was unexpectedly somehow after a few words she said it would be ok. Definitely put a damper on the beginning of my night but the band was outstanding and food was great. Just concerned about making reservation again.
We went for the Sunday brunch with a group of 8 people. The music was bluegrass this week. The music was fantastic and the breakfast menu covered many breakfast and lunch items. The breakfast items were all excellent, all arrived hot and very good. Considering the music, which was excellent and free, and the reasonably priced menu, we couldn’t beat it! We will definitely go again and have recommended it to friends.
Good food and music
The Nerds were a delight and very entertaining! They even had audience/stage participation-3 times! The only drawback was that The Nerds Play a lot of party dance music but since it was so crowded there wasn’t any available dance floor. However I would definitely return to Daryl’s House as the food, service and atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable!
Reserved a table for dinner & show. Was seated where we had had to watch the show via monitor verses seeing the actual band. Was disappointed in that part
I've been to this venue many, many times, but this was a first since the opening of Daryl's House. Love, love, love the music (Willie Nile). I live about 90 minutes away, so going to Pawling has to be for a treat. NOW for the rest: Parking was easy/breezy. We could not get into the main lot but the shuttle from Hannaford's was great. The driver was affable and very helpful. Safe driver, too. The food was tasty and cooked as ordered, though on the pricey side. A burger and Philly Cheese Steak, both with fries, 2 glasses of wine and a glass of unsweetened iced tea came o $68. The young woman who "bussed" our table and got our beverages was delightful and attentive. She, most definitely, is NOT the reason for the single star in service. If she were, I would have given her all five stars. Service issues were with our waiter, the hostess and the web site. The hostess, Melanie: Not very nice on the phone, or in person. Very confused/confusing. Did not listen to questions, and gave inconsistent and conflicting answers. Generally, if I owned the restaurant, I would replace her. I would also replace the very nasty wristband woman. The waiter: Very full of himself. Not very helpful. However, my "favorite" part was when he came into the back room (where we were seated), he picked up a salt shaker and shook it out onto an empty table, supposedly to make sure it was salt). He then left the room, taking the shaker with him. What kind of waiter does that? The website and phone system. The website never mentions the "rules." When I booked the show, nowhere did it say that the main room was booked. Nowhere did it say that the tickets were for a back room. There were several empty tables in the main room, but they would not allow us to have dinner in there. All of this should be clearly stated on the web site. Finally, the phone system: I had been calling for two weeks. Neither the web site nor the phone stated DH was closed for 10 days. DH needs work.
Apparently Daryl’shouse is not always open on Sunday for brunch. Drove 60 miles from lower Westchester on Sunday, December 23 only to find the restaurant closed at noon. We even made a reservation on open table and got a confirmation email? Confusing and disappointing.
Had a phenomenal night! Music, food & atmosphere was on point! Gina was VERY accommodating! Will definitely be back!
Daryl’s place was a lot of fun. The food was very good and the band and music were great. It’s a small venue so no matter where you stand or sit you can see the band (they also have TVs every way). We really enjoyed it. My only complaint was there wasn’t enough parking spaces so we had to park up at Hannafords. They did provide a van that picks you up there and brings you back to the club which is only 5 minutes away.
Pleasantly surprised at the Food, service and sound. Although a gastro-pub tutor menu, the food was very good. Very attentive service and the sound was phenomenal for the Act we were there to see. Highly recommend.
great show by kip winger!!!!I would come back for another show thanks
People were great, show was great, staff (Gina) and bartender (sorry, don't know his name) very friendly and genuinely enjoyed atmosphere. We saw Kip Winger and thoroughly enjoyed overall atmosphere and friendliness of other guests and staff (thanks for letting me take all those pictures after show!) the hostess who led me to a close spot for the show (and pictures afterwards in lobby) was a real nice person. thanks again -- great experience, but sorry, food could use a bit of an upgrade. Thanks again!
The service was terrible until my wife complained then our waiter was very attentive.
The ambience where we were seated, in a separate room off to the left, was like sitting in someone’s home watching the performers on television.
What is most annoying about Daryl’s House Club is the reservation process. You can buy tickets but you can’t reserve a table at the same time. When you do reserve a table (by going through a different entity,) you cannot pick the table you want.
I doubt that we will go through this again.
Great place to enjoy dinner and hear a live performance. Just wish it were a bit bigger. We had unreserved dinner seats and so could not see the live performance until we stood near the back of the hall. However, there was a screen and good speakers if we preferred to stay in the side dinner room.
Great live music venue - jumping on a Sunday night! Food is fantastic - avocado stuffed with shrimp appetizer and Moroccan lamb dish - both just a bit spicy (in a great way!) but the cold beer on-tap and chardonnay wine took the steam off perfectly. Service was awesome and outdoor seating beautiful with benches and tables installed by my cousin's son inviting and comfortable. Looking forward to getting back ASAP!!!
Went out for dinner and to see Dick Dale.
Both experiences were excellent.
This place was recommended for dinner by our b&b hosts. We easily made a reservation for two via open table. We had never been here before so did not understand the entertainment concept.
When we arrived, a seated crabby lady said we were an hour late (we were not), we were right on time at 8:00.
We noticed a musician playing but were told on top of the dinner we were paying for, it would be another $25/ each to sit at bar or table where we could see. To be honest, he was not even that great. Not only that, we had to whisper through dinner in order not to disrupt the venue.
Did not feel welcome and would not return
Went for the show, weren’t in the main music area but could watch from our table or on the flatscreen. Food was surprisingly tasty and a decent wine list. Would definitely come back for another show, worth the 1 1/2 hr drive. Will check the schedule for another opportunity.
Won tickets for standing room for show and ate dinner in non-show dining room. Worked out well, I could still aee the show from other room through doorway, through bar window and on big screen tv food was very good. I enjoyed the shrimp salad and my friend enjoyed the special chicken Rollintini with Rissotto. Good cocktail menu decent beer selection good wine selection. Drinks are pricey. Beer and wine costs average. I enjoyed the experience and would go again.
As a music venue, Daryl's house can not be beat! But don't be afraid of the food. Our vegetable burger, onion soup and side of cauliflower were delicious!
Very good food and service. The place has a great vibe . Excellent place to see live music. We were so lucky to catch Los Lonely Boys there and they were arms length away! Awesome!
My family member and friend enjoyed their dinner and show there. They only wished they knew they were going to be seated at bar area for show.
