Very tasty inexpensive food, great waitress Anna and very Happy vibe!
For an average height person if you sit at a booth your legs will dangle. It doesn't take much to fix the faulty design, but they havent fixed it.
I had the Santa Fe salad. Horrible. All I tasted was vinegar. Yuck. I used to like the Dark Horse. Never going back again.
Was a lovely place for lunch . The bar wasn't crowded when we arrived so didn't need a reservation but I was glad we picked the place. Service was great!
Great Atmosphere, Food is above average bar food. Staff treats you really well. We went here because it is one of the few Sports bars you can get European Football and it kind of reminds me of a London Pub. We now make it a family event during football cup playoffs. They make a great martini and have a great selection of tap beer.
Came here for dinner while on vacation because it was close to the hotel, everything was great. Food was delicious and the portions were huge. And the price was very reasonable. There couldn't have been more then 10 people in the whole restaurant so the waitress was very attentive. This was definitely a nice find in NYC.
A great find for good food at a reasonable price, will return.
Typical bar food. There wasn't a hostess or server around and only occasionally the bartender came over to the tables. Nothing special at all. I wouldn't go back. There are tons of other better places around.
Great lunch at good prices. Menu is varied but not pretentious. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a well made meal
Bartender was our waiter ! Great service ! Worked hard to make sure we were happy .
It's a consistently good neighborhood hang spot. The food is good, the drinks are poured well. The staff are all friendly. Been there few times since moving to the area. Will be back.
Food was fabulous as always. The special prime rib was fantastic. The service was exceptional. Drawback was the noise level. We brought our friends to enjoy a local favorite but couldn't even talk during dinner (7pm, Saturday). We were seated by the kitchen in the back and it was smoky from cooking. We love this place and hope they expand or open a secondary spot with the same service and chef. We will keep coming in the meantime. Thanks
The food and drinks were great. I had the ribs and sweet potato fries. The ribs were so good that I wanted to eat the bones too. The service was great
Very crowded and very very loud. Couldn't enjoy my dinner
Was told they do not use open table, do we had to wait.
Good food, pleasant wait staff. I always enjoy lunch here.
Great service and food.
Burger and the pulled pork were awesome!
Had lunch here with girl friends. Menu had a decent selection to appeal to all palates. The burger i ordered was cooked perfectly. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a very good experience.
I always go to Dark Horse the food is always great whatever you order from the menu or any of the specials. Anne is wonderful!!! This place is great for lunch, dinner and happy hour!
This is a sports bar with decent food, but it is not a restaurant and should not be listed by Open Table. This is the kind of error that makes Open Table a problematic tool.
The food is decent for a bar. The wings are good. I had the Blackened Salmon a little heavy on the salt but decent. The portions are good for me and the drinks was decent.
Food was better than expected. Very accommodating. Loud but good atmosphere. Wasn't sure it would work for a group meal but it ended up being perfect.
Over priced burger ($14) was also overdone and chewy, the fries were fried twice and greasy. Last time had a more enjoyable meal.
One of the worst lunches I have ever had. Aloof server and B rating, will never be back!
I took a work colleague out for his birthday and we enjoyed a really good lunch and, as always, a warm welcome from our favorite waitress, Anne. Excellent drinks, attentive service - a good place to keep in mind if you work in the area or are visiting.
Being a first visit, made a reservation for 12:30 lunch and was concerned that a Sports Bar would be crowded and noisy.
On the contrary, the Europeans must have finished the soccer playoffs and the NBA and NFL are playing at night. The restaurant was almost empty upon arrival and there remained some open tables throughout the time visited. Importantly, the volume on the televisions and overall noise level was just fine. This might not be the case if having lunch during a Yankees-Mets baseball game.
The service was EXCELLENT (attentive but not obtrusive).
There was a great variety of food choices at reasonable prices. The Pulled Pork sandwich was very good and there was plenty of pork and French fries.
overall terrific. Perfect for a low key dinner in the neighborhood
I only had drinks here, but it was fantastic so I'll just give a 5-star on Food. Bartender was super nice and fun as well!
Fresh, pub food in an area that desperately needs more medium-level lunchtime restaurants around City Hall.
