Dapur Asian Tapas & Lounge in Fort Lauderdale offers Asian style tapas and a lounge setting that is ideal for meeting up with friends for lunch or for dinner. The dinner menu has a wide variety of tapas including steamed, grilled, cold and crispy, pan fried options. Some of the most notable options are new wok edamame, bang-bang scallops, yucca and steak, stuffed tofu, shrimp martini, crispy calamari, spicy tuna tar-tar, Hamachi jalapeno and kimchee.
Entrees at Dapur Asian Tapas & Lounge include pangsit, mandarin chicken, pad thai and curry dishes. The Asian influence is resolved with the addition of rolls, sushi and sashimi. Sunday brunch has stations for omelets, sushi, salad, mussels, chicken, congee, bread, pastries, dim sum and more.
We enjoy eating at Dapur and love the Asian Fusion food there. Service is always great and the food is creative and delicious.
Dan was a great waiter. Food here is very good. Miso cod slightly off in thin section. Scallops excelkent. Korean short ribs makes you want more. Volcano lobster roll very nice.
Room is very noisy. Beware of girls night out as those tables are full of "shriekettes".
Always consistent, with wonderful flavorful food and friendly prompt service. Especially love the Korean short ribs, grilled eggplant, and the chicken balls.
My family and I went in on a Monday. We were able to sit right away and have a nice lunch and still make it to the airport on time. The Server was very polite and attentive. At the beginning of the meal he asked if we had to leave by a certain time so he can make sure to get us out in a timely manner. That was a nice touch.
It was a gift + what a great gift!!! Excellent food, food came out fast, staff was amazing, service was spectacular, and we only had appetizers!!! We are going back to try entrees next imd + looking forward to it!!! We are talking about having my Mom's 80th b-day party there even though we had already planned it else where.
Excellent food. Small cocktails. Fantastic Brussel sprouts. Very loud place.
The restaurant side had no ambiance, the atmosphere is strange. The rooms disconnected. Not a very comfortable dining experience. The food and service were excellent, and the prices surprisingly good, but would probably not return due to the "feel" of the space.
Food was great! Used open table to ask for birthday surprise which the hostess noted when I checked in. Wonderful curry and unusual sushi choices.
To be fair, we didn't arrive until 1:00PM for a Sunday brunch. I imagine this would have been a far better experience if we had been there closer to the beginning. Everything looked great but seemed a little "tired" by the time we settled in and ate. The dum sum was nice and freshly steamed but most other things had been out for awhile. It wasn't a bad experience. Just not the usual amazing meal we're used to at Dapur.
Every dish we tried was fantastic. The drinks were great as well. We ate at the bar and Robbie was the one best severs we ever had at a restaurant. He knew all the dishes and gave excellent recommendations.
Simply the best!! We have been to Dapur for Lunch, happy hour and dinner and I know for sure that we will be back for more amazing time:)
I think Asian food is my number one choice for a cuisine . I travel a
lot and I don't always find a great Asian. Dapur has been spoiling me
for the last a few years, their food and cocktails are out of this
world. I just recently found out that they do Sunday brunch. Cant wait
to try and I am sure that it will be amazing.
This is a fantastic restaurant for tapas. Excellent food with so much to choose from. I will definitely revisit on my next trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The Manager was very friendly and walked around talking to guest.
After enjoying a nice dinner at Dapur, we wanted to give the Dapur Sunday Brunch a try. The brunch experience left a lot to be desired, from the quality of the food items available, using appetizer plates at the main food station, the price charged for the low-quality food and the longish wait for the bill. The sushi station looked great to the eye but the imitation crab in the few rolls available was a turnoff. The Bloody Mary station was really the only decent station. There's a waffle station but the mix was awful, think Aunt Jemima. There was a good selection of berries for your waffles, though. The hot station was a let down, poor quality potatoes for example none of the usual breakfast meats like bacon/sausage. The pricing was $24 or $30 with bottomless Bloody Mary's or Mimosas.
Everything was delicious, drinks was very good and the price was great. I highly recommend the Papaya Salad!
Vegetarian or omnivores will be equally pleased with a wide selection of tapas. Start with the edamame and Brussels sprouts- be sure to have a shrimp martini and some Korean short ribs - desserts are a perfect size to share.
The bartender and waiters Eduardo & Kevin were great!! My friends and I arrived at 630pm and closed the place down. Happy hour is fantastic, happy hour food too. Sushi was buy 1 get 1 free. You must try the lobster roll!!!! I would definitely go back!
Good food, good drinks, great Friends. We really enjoyed the tapas style dining where we could share every plate.
Had a very pleasant evening, though a bit noisy the food and service made up for it.A bit disappointed in the grilled calamari, will try the other next time .. Great lychee martini!!!
We enjoy lunch at Dapur with reasonable prices and free edaname. Looking forward to going back.
My boyfriend and I made a Sunday reservation for brunch at Dupar last weekend. I have no problem with buffet style, but it took way too long for a server to come around to ask for our drink order and explain how their process worked. With this buffet you can opt to add on unlimited mimosas or bloody marys. I'm a fan of the bloody mary bar so that was a huge plus. The server was slammed with so many tables and just couldn't keep up with the floors drink orders. Not a great place to go for a date or a calming Sunday brunch. Excellent for a large group looking to grab some food and booze before starting out sunday funday.
Great new place
Menu is full of surprises.
Kobe sliders are supreme
Crispy duck was tender and perfectly cooked
Tropical tuna great combination of flavor
Ah and the lemongrass martini superb.
Service was upbeat with a smile
Had to order second rounds of Roti and Brussel Sprouts they were so amazing!
Great great great.
Lots of fried food, a little too greesy to enjoy. stick with the sushi.
Yuca and Steak is excellent
We been there a few times and just love this place.. The lounge is great and the dinning room and food is just awesome!! Don't pass up a chance to go and see for yourself.. Keep up the good work.. :o)
I like the bar area better was really loud in the dining area
Miso cod is amazing, as well as the scallops. Had the Royal Tuna but wasn't much of a fan. Overall good though and enjoy the food!
Great place with reasonable prices
Everything was delicious. We went on Tuesday night and there was buy one get one free sushi roll. The cabbage salad with the tamarind sauce was amazing. The lobster sushi roll was also great. As well as everything else we ate. I would highly recommend it and can't wait to go back again
I had the crispy duck with stir fried vegetables and brown rice which when I added some red curry sauce was unbelievably delicious. Service is always great and the bar and music make is a fun place to go to.
Was a good dining experience, and surprisingly not real busy for a Thursday. Stopped going to Dapur a while back due to a decline overall. However, thought I would try again. Was not disappointed, food was decent, service was great, and the place looked nice. Has been redeemed (from prior visit disappointments), would return for another try.
We enjoyed the brunch! The food was good and our waiter was very nice and attentive. Great find!
Followed recommendation of other Open Table diners and took the family here. We lived the steak entree, the yucca/steak tapas, edamame, Brussel sprouts and fried eggplant. Our server was awesome too. Go!
Went to this restaurant looking for some Indonesian food, walked away saying to each other, what a pleasant surprise. The menu is very diverse, lots of options even if your palate is not so diverse. Walking in we were greeted by the owner of the rest (that's cool) and he was as customer service oriented as you can be, he gave us a tour of the brunch buffet and when he noticed that my wife is Indonesian he even spoke to her in their native language. In general, it felt like we were at his house and not in a restaurant, we even met the chef who took time to detach himself from the busy line and made it a point to touch some tables including ours. Loved it all and would love to visit again whenever we get back to that side of town!!
Everything we ordered was delicious. Small plates are easy to share with the table and allows you to try many dishes on the menu. Try the kobe sliders- the sticky rice buns will change your life! Also recommend the scallops and lobster crunch roll.
Great food and ambiance, new server it seemed like though. She was a little spacey, not bad but differently different than servers ive had their before. Could have been more knowledgeable and might have forgot to put in the order as the table next to us got 4 rolls as an app and there dinner came out before our 2 rolls (as an app as well). All in all still a good experience.
We was here last night and we had an amazing time.
The parking was plentiful, the staff were friendly and all greeted us warmly.
The happy hour is on till 8 and is available 7 days a week. Their happy hour menu has so many items to choose from. We will be back with more friends soon,
Dapur has got to be one of my favorite Sushi/Asian fusion restaurants around! I've had very enjoyable experiences every time I've gone. I especially love their happy hour specials! I believe they are everyday from 4-8pm and all day on Sunday, but only in the lounge. The sushi is very high quality and the cocktails are amazing. Most of the specialty cocktails are just $6 during happy hour!! The staffs are wonderful too.
