We’ve been here several times and this was the first time the food was not outstanding. The Cesare salad dressing was bland. The rest was very good but just not quite up to our other visits. I hope that this was just a one off.
Waitstaff was very nice. Kitchen seemed more interested in takeout orders than dine in. Bar choices had been reduced from past visits.
Great vibe, with unique and awesome food and drinks.
Great place definitely will go again
Super good as always. Creative and novel menu makes it always refreshing
Made a reservation to celebrate our 38 year anniversary. Walked in and was hollered at from behind the bar to just sit anywhere we wanted. We had never been there before so we thought we would give it a try. Was not impressed at all.
Extensive and unique cocktail menu. Food was delicious, this is a great place for just drinks or your entire date night!
First time at Dante's and we will certainly return. The food was very good and the service was excellent. There is a wide variety of food choices with a different special every night.
If you're looking for a moderately priced restaurant with great service, give Dante's a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.
The food was excellent. The lighting is too bright and doesn’t add to the ambience
Always good food and drinks!
Food was excellent particularly the lobster bisque, but when your entree of steak consists of a morsel of a filet that resembles a raisin the value just isn’t there. The bartender also wasn’t very friendly and had zero personality aside from his negligence toward his customer’s meal preference.. no mushrooms does not mean many mushrooms. Up the portions and the friendly attitude, and you have yourself a nice establishment!
I took my wife to Dante’s fire for Valentine’s Day dinner. She was blown away by the food. The how whole meal was put together beautifully. According to her this was the best Valentine’s Day in 18 years of marriage.
I liked the ambience as we were seated, the waitress, I'm so sorry that I forgot her name was very friendly and worked hard to make sure my fiance got what I asked for. I am not too impressed about the entry way and the fact my reserved table was not ready with my requested special touch. We are not really the kind of people who are wealthy enough to consistantly dine in places as costly as this, so having said that some of the dishes are overpriced, but I will reserve my last comment to say the tacos and jalapeno peppers and my fiance loved her dish as well.
The half price burger night was tasty and a great value. We will be back to try other items on their menu. Our server had a lot of personality but it looked a little chaotic at times.
I will keep it short, per the instructions:
Way too loud. I could barely hear the person I was seated across from.
The door slams when you walk in - its startling and a sign of deferred maintenance.
The service was terrible. The waitress was either poorly trained, or you were understaffed. This was a Friday night, so there is little excuse for that especially for a restaurant this small.
I was excited to try Dante's Fire. I had some of their food at an event and it was great. However, the menu at the restaurant was not exciting. The food was pretty good though - not excellent. There are many better options in the area.
Across all five in our party, no one liked their food. Server was nice but the kitchen was slow. They ran out of butter to serve with bread, which seemed really strange. Will not go back.
Felt like more of a bar than a restaurant as expected but the food and the service was really great!
We had a very nice time. The waitress was great and food was outstanding!
Had a good meal.
Always a great place to dine!
New Years menu. Busy, first 2 courses were great, dessert suffered. Looks like a DIY painted repurposed fast food restaurant on the inside.
This was an unexpected but great surprise. We’ve driven past Dante’s for years, but after reading some darn good reviews we gave it a try with another couple. Good choice! Delicious salad, tuna, burgers, pasta. And an very good bar. The atmosphere was also much more cozy than one might expect from the outside. Give it a try!
Special date night with my son. Visiting him as he’s stationed in Tucson and wanted a special and unique dining experience which exactly what we got! The atmosphere was eclectic and casual and very welcoming. Food was amazing. My son was able to experience food he hadn’t before which was a pleasant change to his normal fast food excursions. The parking availability had a little to be desired during peak hours but the area is jumpin’ on a Friday night so it was understandable and not enough to demote my rating. We will be back!
The food was great and the wait time for our meal was quick. The server Amethyst was friendly talkative and very attentive. She made the night even better. The noise of other customers helped make the place feel alive and welcoming!
This is a great little restaurant and bar. The food is Fantastic, especially the Clam Chowder. The service has always been great. Thank you.
The drinks were great and food was outstanding. Would recommend to friends and will return ourselves.
I was glad I made a reservation, because it was a popular Friday night. A birthday party and another table of 14 were there.
As usual, Dante's food was great. For the first time, I tried the trout. The chef has chosen good flavors to accompany the fish. It came with lump crab, asparagus, and potatoes with shallots.
Great food and service! The facility is a little dated and could use a facelift.
We went to Dante's for our anniversary. When I walked in I thought, oh this is just a bar..... Well, I had primarily picked Dante's because they had escargot on the menu. We have been to several upscale places in town with escargot and they failed. Dante's hit a home run. My wife loves escargot and ended up ordering three appetizers of it and took her meal home. Our other guest and I both enjoyed our meals. The service was very good and overall we give the place a high grade.
Great recommendations from our server and everything was delicious
We always like introducing new people to Dante’s Fire because we know it will be a hit. Something for everyone! Service was spot on. The stuffed jalapeños were a good start. We had two pastas, a lamb dip and hamburger. The two newbies had the pasta and cleaned their plates. The lamb sandwich was huge! The burger was good although a bit under cooked. Drinks were delish. Great night at a reasonable price.
Always a favorite place to dine.
We love Dante’s. Always a great meal for the dollar. Highly recommend!
Nice place for a not too pricey dinner and a great beverage selection.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Food was delicious! Our wait person was perfect! Kind, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The room needing a bit of ambience, more cafe than dinner club. Portions were generous. Overall, we will come back next time for Happy Hour!
We look forward to seeing you again! All the best -DF
The appetizers are really good. I love the jalapeño poppers, which are not fried, like some places. Also, our entrees were terrific. I had the lamb pasta dish, very tasty, done perfectly. My friend had seared ahi tuna which looked delicious. We began with Aperol spritz as a drink to liven up the taste buds and cool off from a hot day, and I later had a Chilean red wine that was very good, though they were out of the wine on their list that I had really wanted. The people working here are terrific, and we're always treated right. I only wish they had one dish that had neither noodles or bread or any carbs at all, other than what you get from vegetables. I'd also like to see the specialty cocktails include two or three options that are not at all sweet. But of course, the bartender will make you just about any drink you order. Happy hour options are very welcome!
Dante's Fire and Cocktails was a delicious surprise! First, we arrived 1 hour early with a larger party than we made the reservation for. The host bent over backward to accommodate our group of six. The waiter was on top of things. He quickly pointed out the Happy Hour menu and made suggestions for appetizers. The tiger shrimp curry and escargot were first rate! Our group ordered and most of us ordered the mushroom burger. Each order was cooked to specifications and was so yummy! Just what the doctor ordered! My husbands steak was cooked just the way he likes it. He refused to share his brussel sprouts because they were so good! The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. The menu is very creative. There seemed to be something for everyone to enjoy!
Hey there, we're happy that you enjoyed yourselves with us. I love hearing stories such as this! There are also some people on our staff that I know would side with your husband about those brussels sprouts. =D We look forward to seeing you in the future! -DF
I thought this would be a good place for Birthday or any special occasion. When booking, ofcourse I mentioned my girlfriend’s Birthday. However, when we got there we relized there was no reservation system what so ever in the restaurant (what’s the point of booking on Opentable?); for that reason we did mentioned that in front of our server. And, no response or wishes. As a result, I don’t think the fault belong to the restaurant, i just think we chose a wrong place to celebrate something special.
It was a pleasure to try items on their new menu. The Potato Pierogis were flavorful, light and a great starter. The Seared Sesame Ahi Tuna was wonderful with unique sides. The Chorizo Sliders and Pappardelle Diablo consisted choices. Kimberley, our server, was friendly and professional. She kept Dinner an enjoyable experience. The cocktails are always the best. Great job!
