Dante Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I enjoyed a delicious and elegant dinner on a Friday evening. She had the lobster Cleopatra and I had the veal chop. The veal chop was the best veal chop I had ever had, which explains why they are so famous. My wife loved her lobster Cleopatra. The lobster bisque is excellent, as is the tiramisu. My highest recommendation!!
Dante Ristorante was housed in what looked like a former mansion. So that was different. Once inside the hostess seated us in less than five minutes (and when I said my name in response to the reservation request he was expecting me and my fiancée!).
The server was very nice and orderly. The food was very good, as I had the fettuccini and my fiancée had the swordfish. The desserts were delicious, as well.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends, as the place was cozy, easy to get to, and was very good.
My husband and I brought another couple here for dinner. We had been here before, they had
not. All of us really enjoyed our meal. This is a lovely restaurant to sit back, relax and have a
great meal. We all will definitely be coming back. The only complaint was the $12.00 charge my
friend had for a drink she ordered, which I think was not on the drink menu, which, therefore,
did not have a set charge. We did not say anything but it does fall in the category of not being
really fair to the customer. Next time we will come right out and ask what the cost is. Not to sound cheap, but fair is fair.
My husband and I celebrated our 46th anniversary with a very nice dinner at Dante. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was quiet and good for conversation. Our waiter was friendly but not intrusive; the service was just what we would hope for at an upscale restaurant. Prices make Dante a special occasion restaurant for us, but we will definitely return in the future.
Having separate dining rooms in the mansion-turned restaurant was interesting, but there were too many tables in our dining room. It felt claustrophobic and our dining table and chairs were uncomfortable; the music was virtually non-existent, so we could hear just about everything other diners were discussing. We probably should have left after being seated, but we kept hoping that things would get better and they did not.
The waitress was cordial but not friendly and acted like she did not really need our business. We chose to check out Dante Ristorante due to it being in the top 10 of the OpenTable rating; we will have second thoughts about OpenTable ratings in the future.
The only problem we ever encounter with this restaurant is seat placement. We do not like the upstairs. And, that is where they wanted to put us. It is just not the same dining experience as downstairs. And, as it turned out, there was a small child leaving with parents from upstairs as we left who was quiet vocal. That would not have been a pleasant dining experience! I think I know from now on when I make a reservation to request downstairs only!
We will certainly return to Dante's again. The venue is a lovely converted victorian mansion that has retained as much of the character and charm as possible. Service was very personable and this feels exactly as it should - a family owned and run restaurant where people genuinely care.
This was our first visit after having lived in Great Falls for 30 years and we now regret not having gone sooner. Everything was outstanding and we thought the price was very reasonable given the high quality of service and food. We will definitely be returning a few times in 2018.
Food and service were both fantastic as usual. She had the rockfisk with crabmeat special and he had the swordfish with a puttanesca-like sauce. Both were very high quality and prepared perfectly.
Only negative was the temperature in the restaurant. It was hot. Like really hot. Must have been close to 80 degrees in there. As a result, we kind of rushed through dinner and got outside to the then very refreshing ~35 degree evening.
Otherwise everything was brilliant. Dante is one of our favorites.
Restaurant was willing to make changes to menu items with no questions asked. Extremely accommodating. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. Server (never did get his name, but he was from Turkey) was outstanding - very knowledgeable on wines with a fabulous sense of humor. Will be back the next time I visit the area.
Food was very good, the fish filet special had a lot of bones and that was unfortunate, was mentioned to the responsible person and they gave us a free dessert and an apology , much appreciated
The service was excellent and they remembered us from a previous visit
We made reservation and when we arrived they said we should have mentioned the first floor seating , I was unaware that they had an upper floor. It was imposssible for us to climb stairs as there was an elderly person with us. They accommodated us and all was well.
I just had a feeling of the management not being too happy about it and that was sad.
All in all it is a great restaurant and maybe we came at a wrong day, we hope to try it again and have a better welcome
One could not ask for better service. When we got there, the dining room we were seated in was nearly empty. Before we had completed our meal the room was filled with patrons but the service remained excellent. The food was delicious and the chef catered every special request made. The venue is cozy and comfortably classy. One could not ask for a better dining experience.
