Dante Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We will certainly return to Dante's again. The venue is a lovely converted victorian mansion that has retained as much of the character and charm as possible. Service was very personable and this feels exactly as it should - a family owned and run restaurant where people genuinely care.
This was our first visit after having lived in Great Falls for 30 years and we now regret not having gone sooner. Everything was outstanding and we thought the price was very reasonable given the high quality of service and food. We will definitely be returning a few times in 2018.
Food and service were both fantastic as usual. She had the rockfisk with crabmeat special and he had the swordfish with a puttanesca-like sauce. Both were very high quality and prepared perfectly.
Only negative was the temperature in the restaurant. It was hot. Like really hot. Must have been close to 80 degrees in there. As a result, we kind of rushed through dinner and got outside to the then very refreshing ~35 degree evening.
Otherwise everything was brilliant. Dante is one of our favorites.
Restaurant was willing to make changes to menu items with no questions asked. Extremely accommodating. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. Server (never did get his name, but he was from Turkey) was outstanding - very knowledgeable on wines with a fabulous sense of humor. Will be back the next time I visit the area.
Food was very good, the fish filet special had a lot of bones and that was unfortunate, was mentioned to the responsible person and they gave us a free dessert and an apology , much appreciated
The service was excellent and they remembered us from a previous visit
We made reservation and when we arrived they said we should have mentioned the first floor seating , I was unaware that they had an upper floor. It was imposssible for us to climb stairs as there was an elderly person with us. They accommodated us and all was well.
I just had a feeling of the management not being too happy about it and that was sad.
All in all it is a great restaurant and maybe we came at a wrong day, we hope to try it again and have a better welcome
One could not ask for better service. When we got there, the dining room we were seated in was nearly empty. Before we had completed our meal the room was filled with patrons but the service remained excellent. The food was delicious and the chef catered every special request made. The venue is cozy and comfortably classy. One could not ask for a better dining experience.
We have been to Dante many times and have never been disappointed. This was our best visit ever - we were seated in the "purple room" with our best friends for a cozy and private dinner. The service was excellent and the chef willingly tweaked our selections to ensure that everything was exactly as we wanted it. Great experience from beginning to end, despite the all the restaurant's many dining rooms being full.
The food was delicious. Our server was pleasant and helpful. It's a charming restaurant, very simple but elegant. This was a birthday celebration. After dinner the server presented a plate of tiramisu with a candle to the birthday girl. It was a really lovely evening.
Dantes was an absolutely outstanding Italian dining experience in Great Falls Virginia. Murat Dogan, our server was absolutely amazing bringing our cocktails, appetizer and entrées at perfectly timed intervals. Chef Guisseppe stopped to chat with us to ask how the entrées and service was which we raved about as much as this review. Dantes is located in a quaint oversize building furnished with an antique flair. It’s worth the trip to Great Falls to enjoy an authentic Italian dining experience.
This restaurant never disappoints! The weather was fabulous, so we were happy to dine outside, enjoying the live music. Service is always impeccable, and Atilla always gracious and anticipating one's preferences. My pumpkin ravioli was delicious (I was able to have it as an appetizer), and the salmon dish I had was superb! This is our "go to" restaurant for any special occasion (birthdays and anniversaries here are almost a given if we are in town.), and we enjoy introducing others to this gem.
We had a delightful lunch
Sat on the balcony and had a nice view of the patio
We had the lunch special , rockfish or swordfish with vegetables
Fish was cooked perfectly
We had a nice bottle of Italian wine, wine selection is nice
Staff was attentive and friendly
We will return for sure, a wonderful Italian restaurant
We had an early reservation and sat outside on the patio. We let the waiter know that we were on a tight schedule and ordered - the food was just wonderful and they were very nice about helping us leave on time. The wine, oh the wine! It was so nice with our meal, it was a great recommend by the waiter. We will definitely be returning!
Excellent traditional sumptuous Italian dishes that live up to my travels to Italy. I had the best lasagna I have had with crepe layers. I was also impressed by fine dining staples of the past like beautiful chargers and fresh rose bouquets at every table. They clearly care about making it a special evening.
We've been to Dante's several times and love the food and ambiance. Service had always been excellent in the past. The waiter we had tonight, however, had an attitude which started when we did not order drinks (our friends don't drink). After dinner, on the way back to the table as I was returning from the restroom, I asked the waiter for separate checks. He said I could give him two credit cards. I told him I wanted separate checks as our friends did not order appetizers and we did. He gave me grief about it until I finally said that every other restaurant accommodates the request. We'll be back but we'll make sure not to have this waiter.
My family and I enjoyed A wonderful Italian meal there recently . The service was outstanding, the food was delectable, and the ambience was lovely ! The outdoor dining area is beautiful and spacious . We can't wait to go there again to celebrate a special occasion!
The food was very good and very Italian. We particularly enjoyed the private room we were given, beautifully paneled and dignified, perfect for an 83rd-birthday celebration. The staff was welcoming and, on the whole, attentive, though the competition with another large party made it a bit slower than it might otherwise have been. We will definitely return for other family events.
