Dantanna's Surf and Turf
In addition to offering an expansive selection of top shelf liquors and beer, Dantanna’s also has one of Atlanta’s best wine lists that features over 100 wine selections by the bottle.
I frequent Dantannas, it is one of my fave restaurants. Unfortunately, the ambience and crowd had completely changed. Our table was not ready on time, and the service was slow.
Overall, the food, service and atmosphere was good, not great, but good. I have no complaints. My wife and I enjoyed the cigar bar that was attached to the restaurant. I ordered the lamb chops w/asparagus and my wife ordered the peppered salmon with spinach.
Wait time to receive food was extremely long. Also it was freezing in there. And my sister was not happy with her braise chicken.
The food was horrible. The mac and cheese watery. The load potatoes was cold
The service was not great with the food taking an extended amount of time to come out, however the manager was proactive by discounting the bill. The tables were to close to other parties which they could listen to your discussion as well as you with their's. Lastly the atmosphere was not was I expected being such a expensive restaurant. Overall for the price, atmosphere, and service i would not go back nor suggest anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in the future.
Valentines Day Celebrations
Fantastic Salmon and the appetizers were all good! Dante is an excellent server!
Great steaks and oysters
Great and friendly environment! The food was delicious and I loved the Maestro Margarita!
Here is the initial issue which colored our visit. We were promptly seated at 6:30 on a Friday evening. We waited at our table, not tended to, for 21 minutes. That is simply not acceptable. We saw a party of 4 who came after we did leave due to a lack of attention. I am assuming a lack of communication on the part of the hostess and wait staff.
Anyway, my adult daughter went to the podium and told them we'd been there for more than 20 minutes with no greeting, water, no drink orders, etc. Within minutes a very nice server arrived and all was taken care of. She said, "I didn't know you were here!" Sad to say, but this initial 20 minutes of initial 'invisibility, in an uncrowded restaurant, put a crimp in the evening. My daughter's steak was $50 but similar to a Longhorn-type quality. I had the $18 Beyond Burger...so I can't really complain about that. It is what it is. Reasonably nice place, but Buckhead has TOO many places as alternate food sources to make this a destination restaurant again.
Very so so....ok at best.
Not impressed. Very basic brunch. For a staple restaurant in Atlanta very outdated.
In all honesty I didn't know it was a sports bar. But the food wasn't that great and it was too smoky and hot in there. Plus the server was emotionless.
Absolutely disgusting.. dirty restaurant. stick to table.. floors dirty.. table sticky... no one should put up with torn Naugahyde seating.. and all the rest of nasty.. this restaurant has not been updated in yrs.. now.. service was horrible.. food came.. HOT PLATE ...and food was cold.. truly disgusting.. we sat around for such a long time and server didn't hear out app order.. wow.. absolutely nasty .. it is an insult to anyone who goes here.. the conditions are revolting. Never received water ordered 2x inexcusable.. and manager asked a lot too late and not the best response...
We had reservations as a group to sit in the Cigar section and have a late lunch. Area was dirty, services was bad. Had to ask for a waiter, silverware, menu’s. Won’t go back.
The food was really good but the service was slow and mediocre at best. The venue could also use some updates. Many of the TV screens at the bar were outdated.
Dantanna's and Buckhead Cigar Lounge are a pleasant surprise in Buckhead. The food was fantastic and the personnel is top-notch.
Loved the blackened crab claws!
I even got a second order to go.
Edwin was AWESOME! He made it a great experience.... his knowledge of the menu was impressive and his recommendations were spot on. We will definitely be back!
The service was great and the food was outstanding. I would definitely eat here again and again
Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. Would go back again on our next trip to Atlanta.
Meeting a visiting friend from out of town. Reservation was easy however restaurant appeared unclean. The temperature outside was extremely hot and there was no working A/C in restaurant. As best as waitress tired to be accommodating, she failed to bring waters citing no clean glasses available. We later had to wait for straws to be brought. Bill was incorrect and although General Manager extended his apologies he did nothing to offer or comp meals for poor atmosphere/service. I do not recommend and will not visit in the future.
Entree was good. Some sides unavailable. Some side that we got were not hot even though they came out fast. We did get there at 530 so they were just getting spun up for dinner time.
Made the reservation for 5:15pm to give the staff time to open after 5pm. Was greeting instantly and had a choice of tables - that's where the service stopped. Sat with my Mom for almost 20-minutes before a server asked us if we wanted water; I asked for water with no ice, but got water with ice. We put in our appetizer and food order immediately; took about 20-minutes for appetizer. In the middle of just getting started on appetizer, food came out. Didn't have what was ordered, so a side order was brought out after. When our guests arrived - their appetizers did appear, but no drinks and no food order was taken even after 25-minutes. Once the food order was taken, half was incorrect so by this time we just gave up on the service. Not offered any desert or coffee, just the bill was presented to us. It wasn't even busy until we were leaving - which was about 8pm. Good location but horrible horrible service for the price.
I ordered Hennessy and was given VSOP without being given the option to choose something else.
food was really good, server was very attentive to anything we needed
Great place to watch the World Cup!
Everything was great as usual. Love this place!
Horrible. Steak was dry potatoes tasted like something out of a box. Portions were cheap. Beer was cold and service was good. Not going back anytime soon.
Great! Was disappointed that they did not have a bigger wine selection.
The service, the food, and the drinks were all great. The only negative was the cheesecake we shared for dessert was a bit gritty and not smooth at all.
Nice atmosphere and serving staff was pleasant and always near. Wasn’t impressed with steaks but willing to come back and try something else. Drinks were pretty good
Terrible experience! In fact it so gle handedly ruined our Father's day dinner. Food was cold and took entirely too long to be brought out. The 2 steaks we ordered were BARELY seasoned. When we discussed this with the manager she literally told us that "she understands why we have comaints , but they don't really use seasoning outside of the country". Yes you read that right. I honestly have no idea how the manager still has a job. Also the two tables besides us also had the same complaints and when they complained another customer nearly got into a verbal confrontation with the same manager because she came off incredibly sarcastic in response to their complaints.
Please avoid this establishment at all cost.
It truly is not worth the hassel.
The service was great, the food was amazing, and what could be better than coffee and Krispy Kreme bread pudding for dessert? Price worked out to about $36 per person. Parking was not difficult.
I'm in Atlanta working for 2 months and have been trying the local restaurants in Buckhead. This visit was started by poor greeting at the door at 5:00 pm. The place had 3 tables seated and a few people at the bar, which she said "we could just go sit at". We had a DINNER reservation for 5:30 on a Saturday night and we were seated when we arrived, with lunch menus. I had to go request dinner menu. Server arrived roughly 4-5 minutes later, we ordered drinks, an appetizer and dinner all at once which was no problem. We ordered Steaks as our meal, and Oysters Rock as our app.. The app. arrived roughly 3 minutes before our meal, waiter said it got dropped so they had to remake it. When the meal was delivered we where never offered another drink, nobody ever checked on us to make sure everything was okay. The steaks were just so-so, slightly over cooked and very bland. I ordered the Steak Oscar and the best part was the Bernaise sause. We finished our meal and sat there with a table full of dirty dishes and no drinks for roughly 10 minutes. Waiter came back took the dishes and asked if we wanted another drink. My wife said no but would like a crème brulee'. It arrived at the table over carmelized and not very good. It's really unfortunate because it was our 32 Wedding Anniversary and my wife flew into town for the weekend. The meal was $150.00 but in my opinion We should have just gone to Logans Roadhouse same meal for $50.00. Very disappointed !!!!!
This used to be one of my go-to spots but both the service and food quality have gone down tremendously. We sat on the patio and it started raining, there was hesitation about us moving to another patio table, that was dirty at the time and had been since we arrived about 15 mins before, we waited 30 mins for water, appetizers were brought out after entrees, and the food was incredibly bland. They were busy for the game but considering this was a planned event (NBA Finals) and they pride themselves in being an upscale sports bar, they should have staffed accordingly.
Food was great!! Services was slow and definitely could be better. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.
