Meeting a visiting friend from out of town. Reservation was easy however restaurant appeared unclean. The temperature outside was extremely hot and there was no working A/C in restaurant. As best as waitress tired to be accommodating, she failed to bring waters citing no clean glasses available. We later had to wait for straws to be brought. Bill was incorrect and although General Manager extended his apologies he did nothing to offer or comp meals for poor atmosphere/service. I do not recommend and will not visit in the future.
Entree was good. Some sides unavailable. Some side that we got were not hot even though they came out fast. We did get there at 530 so they were just getting spun up for dinner time.
Made the reservation for 5:15pm to give the staff time to open after 5pm. Was greeting instantly and had a choice of tables - that's where the service stopped. Sat with my Mom for almost 20-minutes before a server asked us if we wanted water; I asked for water with no ice, but got water with ice. We put in our appetizer and food order immediately; took about 20-minutes for appetizer. In the middle of just getting started on appetizer, food came out. Didn't have what was ordered, so a side order was brought out after. When our guests arrived - their appetizers did appear, but no drinks and no food order was taken even after 25-minutes. Once the food order was taken, half was incorrect so by this time we just gave up on the service. Not offered any desert or coffee, just the bill was presented to us. It wasn't even busy until we were leaving - which was about 8pm. Good location but horrible horrible service for the price.
I ordered Hennessy and was given VSOP without being given the option to choose something else.
food was really good, server was very attentive to anything we needed
Great place to watch the World Cup!
Everything was great as usual. Love this place!
Horrible. Steak was dry potatoes tasted like something out of a box. Portions were cheap. Beer was cold and service was good. Not going back anytime soon.
Great! Was disappointed that they did not have a bigger wine selection.
The service, the food, and the drinks were all great. The only negative was the cheesecake we shared for dessert was a bit gritty and not smooth at all.
Nice atmosphere and serving staff was pleasant and always near. Wasn’t impressed with steaks but willing to come back and try something else. Drinks were pretty good
Terrible experience! In fact it so gle handedly ruined our Father's day dinner. Food was cold and took entirely too long to be brought out. The 2 steaks we ordered were BARELY seasoned. When we discussed this with the manager she literally told us that "she understands why we have comaints , but they don't really use seasoning outside of the country". Yes you read that right. I honestly have no idea how the manager still has a job. Also the two tables besides us also had the same complaints and when they complained another customer nearly got into a verbal confrontation with the same manager because she came off incredibly sarcastic in response to their complaints.
Please avoid this establishment at all cost.
It truly is not worth the hassel.
The service was great, the food was amazing, and what could be better than coffee and Krispy Kreme bread pudding for dessert? Price worked out to about $36 per person. Parking was not difficult.
I'm in Atlanta working for 2 months and have been trying the local restaurants in Buckhead. This visit was started by poor greeting at the door at 5:00 pm. The place had 3 tables seated and a few people at the bar, which she said "we could just go sit at". We had a DINNER reservation for 5:30 on a Saturday night and we were seated when we arrived, with lunch menus. I had to go request dinner menu. Server arrived roughly 4-5 minutes later, we ordered drinks, an appetizer and dinner all at once which was no problem. We ordered Steaks as our meal, and Oysters Rock as our app.. The app. arrived roughly 3 minutes before our meal, waiter said it got dropped so they had to remake it. When the meal was delivered we where never offered another drink, nobody ever checked on us to make sure everything was okay. The steaks were just so-so, slightly over cooked and very bland. I ordered the Steak Oscar and the best part was the Bernaise sause. We finished our meal and sat there with a table full of dirty dishes and no drinks for roughly 10 minutes. Waiter came back took the dishes and asked if we wanted another drink. My wife said no but would like a crème brulee'. It arrived at the table over carmelized and not very good. It's really unfortunate because it was our 32 Wedding Anniversary and my wife flew into town for the weekend. The meal was $150.00 but in my opinion We should have just gone to Logans Roadhouse same meal for $50.00. Very disappointed !!!!!
This used to be one of my go-to spots but both the service and food quality have gone down tremendously. We sat on the patio and it started raining, there was hesitation about us moving to another patio table, that was dirty at the time and had been since we arrived about 15 mins before, we waited 30 mins for water, appetizers were brought out after entrees, and the food was incredibly bland. They were busy for the game but considering this was a planned event (NBA Finals) and they pride themselves in being an upscale sports bar, they should have staffed accordingly.
Food was great!! Services was slow and definitely could be better. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.
Love this place !! First time going for lunch , very impressed !!
We started by ordering an appetizer, which the chef was missing one of the ingredients for. We said it was fine without figs, but he refused to make it without figs so we were forced to order something else. We ordered two steaks, medium-well. Hers came out completely red and bleeding all over the plate, and mine was overcooked and dry. The sides and appetizers we ended up with were great though, and our server was as nice as he could be. Have a feeling the chef was having a bad day.
Really enjoy this place, Dined on the patio because the day was pretty and felt a little forgotten by our waiter, But when he got to us the food was excellent.
Excellent service, both the hostess and especially our server provided impeccable service as well as our food runner. We will definitely have a return visit.
The waitress was sweet and personable but not very attentive. Drinks took quite a while to come out and she did not bring the waters we requested until the food came out. The crab cakes were a big disappointment. They tasted like they came out of a box. My wife had the petite filet and it was very good. Cocktails were good sized and tasty. Portions were nice size. Overall it was good but I would not be in a big hurry to return for the price.
I arrived and I was informed no reservation for my party.
I absolutely loved it here. Edwin is the best! He was very informative ,great personality, and always checked on us. I loved the ambiance indoors and the outside patio. I will definitely be coming back. Great staff!
Food was good, service was great. Restaurant atmosphere was ok. We were not expecting crowds of screaming children running between tables at 830 pm on a Saturday. Was told on Booking that tables were not available, but restaurant was not even half filled. Would not recommend, simply because there are so many better choices in the area.
Poor service, OK food, not worth the price. Would not go back, dissapointing.
It was work dinner and everything was good. Not great but not terrible either. They were out of a few selections and it took while to get our drinks refilled but overall it wasn’t a terrible experience. It seems like Dantanna’s has become more of an upscale Longhorn restaurant. Not fancy not terrible. Just good. Not great.
Server was excellent! Steak was over cooked and dry.
The oyster Rockefeller’s are amazing!
Very good services and very good food. It's very convenient to my condo and mall. I can walk . I love the vibe . It's definitely a place to go on a date at. I love TV's. You can see pretty much where ever you sit. I will definitely visit again.
I have never had such a bad experience with a restaurant staff in my life. The people were rude when we first came to the hostess stand. Then our waiter proceeded to come to our table every 2 minutes asking for things. He raised his voice asking where the check was. Then they refused to unlock the door for my aunt (who has a bad leg) to get out after using the bathroom, so she had to walk around the perimeter of the restaurant. This was truly the worst dining experience I have ever had and I would recommend it to no one.
I had visited Dantanna’s from out of town twice before and remembered it as a great place with delicious food. On another trip back to Atlanta last weekend, I made it a point to return for another meal. The food quality has gone downhill. My steak was overdone and lacked flavor. The bread pudding was soggy in the middle and burnt on part of the outside. I don’t even know how it was possible but even the vanilla ice cream on the bread pudding was “blah”. I was really disappointed. The ambience was fine at the start of the meal but then got more crowded and unpleasant. The service was great, I’ll give credit where it’s due.
Over priced for the portions. We were in town for a concert and had read good reviews. I however would classify it more of a bar scene/lounge.
Outstanding food! Steak was tender and deliciously seasoned. Pleasant atmosphere with a casual flair. Service was top notch!
Server was good but, seemed to not be as attentive to the table after our food was brought out. We had to ask him to bring a couple of things a couple of times and also to bring our check. We had asked for some bread for a little boy at our table. There wasn’t bread that could easily be brought to the table? The manager did come over to address it and was very nice. Just not sure how you have sandwiches on your menu and no way to bring bread in a timely manner.
I had the ribeye and my date had the crab cakes. Food was not seasoned at all and was barely warm when it got to the table. Will be going back
The waiter was awesome and everything he recommended was great!!.. I plan on coming back to try other items on the menu...
Our server was clearly new, he took 25 mins to take our order. Then somehow our order got mixed up so we sat there waiting for another 45 mins just to get cold food. Medium well is apparently a lump of coal while my medium was dry still and cold. Fries was over cooked. As for the server, he reaches over my friends to refill drinks but his towel touches all over my food. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant.
The service was awesome and the food was delicious.
I hadn't been here in a few years, but remembered it as an above average place. This experience was vastly different. We had lunch reservations but quickly realized it wasn't necessary. The place was half empty at 12:45 on a Thursday, and now we know why. We immediately noticed how run down the interior was. Two of us ordered phillys and the other - a chicken avocado sandwich. My friend's philly came out without his fries and my up-sold mushrooms were put on his plate (which I wouldn't have agreed to if the server had told me they were not actually going to be "in" the sandwich). My Philly came out with my sauteed spinach, but my mushrooms were on his plate. The au jus we were up-sold on did not come out either. We explained the mistakes to the manager-like person who delivered the food (instead of our server) and he set out to bring the fries. I dumped the whole sauteed mushrooms (which I assumed would be sliced and grilled mushrooms in my philly) on my plate as my annoyance with this place grew quickly. The au jus came out later after we had eaten a good bit of our sandwiches. It was about this time that our other friend exclaimed "wow. there's no avocado in this chicken avocado sandwich". He decided not to mention it as we were well past caring at this point. We never saw our server again until she refilled our long-since-empty tea glasses at the END of the meal. Then we were told the CC machine was down and "would you be able to pay cash?" Very odd. We said no - and then the card was run within only a minute after that. Hmmmm. The CC system sure did start working quickly after we declined the request to pay cash. I seldom ever write reviews - particularly negative ones, but this experience was an absolute disgrace.
Great food and amazing service!
