Dinner before my daughter’s first Broadway play. The staff kept us on track to get done and off to the theater. The food was great and the atmosphere was a perfect New York Italian place.
Everything was delicious. Try the Chicken Daniela!
Service was extremely slow. We were a party of four. There of us had salads to start, one had soup. The salads arrived but the soup didn’t arrive until after we were finished our salads. Then our entrees didn’t arrive until more than 30 minutes after the soup was cleared. Food was ok. One in our party had chicken and said it was tough.
Good food, good service , good prices . What more would you want .
We gone before to Daniel's and the meal was good. Ordered the salmon dish and the fish was fair the potatoes were hard and the spinach was bland.
We always enjoy our dinners at Daniela’s. The service is superb and the atmosphere casual and relaxed. The food is delicious. This time my dish was only okay. I’m sure they would have fixed it had I asked. Everyone else’s meal was great.
great service, great meals!
Food was very good the atmosphere was neighborhood restaurant like, open on the first and second floors, tables give you room to move around, wait staff was responsive and the pace can go as you drive it.
The Tre Colori salad was passable, but the Caesar salad was drowning in dressing. The Steak entree was good but the vegetables were terrible, and the Gamberi Scampi was bland and overcooked. The glass of white wine, selected by the waiter, didn't deserve being on any wine list. The chocolate mouse cake was good. Overall, we found this to be among the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. The only thing to recommend this restaurant is its proximity to the theatre district.
This is a casual place that serves only wine and beer. Fine for families or pre-theater. Service was prompt and food on the standard menu was well prepared and generous.
It was my second time there. Food, service, and atmosphere were equally amazing!!! Great spot for pre Theatre eats!!! Looking forward to my next visit!!! 👍
The service was so slow, that people were leaving without eating. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken and French toast. It took almost a half hour for the French toast, not the salad, to arrive. We shared it and told them to forget the salad, as we had to make a matinee. On the way out we spoke to the manager, who was bussing tables and too harried to speak to us.
Have eaten here many times w/ and w/o friends and have always been satisfied. My friend today enjoyed her selections.
The outstanding attention to the details we addressed and the close proximity to our theater makes this a new favorite restaurant.
Such a great location near the theaters - delicious food and great service!
Delicious meal! Nice atmosphere! We were dining prior to going to a show. The meal was served in a timely manner. Prompt but not rushed! Would definitely go back!
We were seated promptly at our reservation time and although staff was very busy, service was excellent and timely. The food was very good and there were gluten free options for one of us who needed it. The desserts were excellent!
My husband, son and daughter-in-law ate at Daniela's on April 7 before going to see a Broadway performance. What an excellent choice we made. This place is cozy, the service was fabulous and the food was amazing. What a great little spot for dining. Can't wait to visit again!
Cold broccoli accompanying mediocre chicken Marsala.
This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants. The food and the service are always first rate.
Daniela’s was delicious!!! We walked right in at our reservation time and didn’t wait for 1 second - sat right away. Waiter came right over with bread & water and for our drink order. We ordered after he came back with our pitcher of red sangria (definitely recommend!). Food came out so promptly. We both got the fettuccini Alfredo - you could really tell everything was Home made it was one of the best meals I’ve had!
Very cute place with wonderful food! The service was very quick, and the staff was very attentive.
The wait staff was very attentive, the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable.
Delicious food, and plenty of it. Good service, but very noisy. That may not be avoided in the neighborhood.
I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very receptive. They didn’t rush us for a before theater dinner. Food was also better than expected. Basic Italian. Good prices. Will definitely go back
In the theater district. Very good Italian food. Attentive service.
While the location is convenient for theater goers, the frenetic pace at which you are served is a bit unsettling. If you have a time limit, this is the place to eat. They could probably get you out in less than 30 minutes. It was a good meal, but hard to enjoy when you feel as if they are watching the clock, to fill your table ASAP.
Daniela’s was a disappointment. The website made it look elegant, which it was not. The menu was limited. The service was not good. My friend and I went there because it was close to the theatre we were attending. My friend’s turkey club sandwich was awful - bread not toasted, very little turkey, bacon not thoroughly cooked & placed on top of fries that were not thoroughly cooked. The lasagna I had was good. I would not recommend it.
Accommodating, friendly servers
Consistent in all of above
Perfect for pre-theater dining
Average food, but kids enjoyed. Prompt arrival of meals indicated most pre-made and ready to go. Seemed quite expensive for what it was.
It wasn't until I order a cocktail before ordering, that I found out they only serve wine and beer.
The bathroom was functional but could use refurbishing.
Tight quarters for dining (but what isn't in Manhattan).
Those were the only negatives.
The food was delicious.
The portions were large.
The staff tried their best to accommodate needs.
Did I say the food was DELICIOUS?
The food really was wonderful
Great food and great service. Very convenient to theaters. Would definitely go again.
This place is very convenient to a number of theaters and not fantastic but satisfactory.
Dining before theater.
The food was incredible and the service outstanding.
Good not great. Caprese Salad should have pesto, olive oil, or balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. They put sweet Italian salad dressing on theirs - not good. My daughter’s ravioli was homemade & delicious! Service was excellent!
Generally very good experience pre-theater. Would have preferred to have been seated when waiting for the rest of my party, which the restaurant would not allow.
Food was mediocre. Service was in the interest of hustling you through your meal, it was all just business. I ordered the gnocchi off the "handmade" pasta menu. It was not handmade, it was the same gnocchi you buy in the supermarket in shrink wrapped plastic. The sauce tasted like chef boyardee. The stuffed mushrooms were flavorful, but very small and only 4 for the table. The penne alla vodka was good, pasta cooked al dente. The eggplant was nothing special. The highlight was the focaccia served before the meal.
Good find. Good for pre theatre dinner. Food good and easy with kids.
The food was surprisingly terrible; and the prices exorbitant. The waiters
were rude and unhelpful. I ordered Ravioli with Pancetta. There was no
Pancetta. When I asked the waiter about this, he replied that the
mushroom garnish was Pancetta!
Waiter got my friends order wrong, we were all finished with our meals by the time hers was served. Food was good, not great. Bread was stale ...Italian place should have great bread in NYC.... drinks were not worth the price...just okay..would not recommend with all the many Resturaunts in NYC...
