An amazing experience for my wife and I; as someone visiting the city and wanting an exceptional, if somewhat pricey, dining experience... I'm not sure we could chosen a better place. We partook in the four-course prix fixe dining experience, and every dish we both selected was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended to NYC natives and visitors alike!

Exactly what I was expecting on a Micheline Star Restaurant. Outstanding!! Top of the line ingredients, different flavors in perfect harmony on every plate. The service was just incredible. They seem to really love what they do.

Lounge waiter's level of attention was singular! Bien Fait to him! Sommelier, however, was dispiriting. The young man, albeit seemingly knowledgeable, was arrogant and overbearing; and in the end, we were disappointed with his recommendation. We wished we stood firm with our original selection. My husband and I ordered the 4 course menu. My husband's second course, Quail, was amazing. My second course, Turbot, was so/so; I did not finish it. Salmon and Duck were ordered for our third course, and quite delicious! We were happy to have chosen the Lounge section. It was comfortable and much lower key than the main dining room.

The service was a joke. We sat there for 20mins without a menu and no one came to us. Servers just emotionlessly intruded every courses to us and left in rush. It’s really an unpleasant experience for us last night. We’ve been to couple French Michelin restaurants before and never have this kind of disappointment. NEVER Go again!!!!!

Absolutely amazing! It was my husband's birthday. I had initially requested the menu with his name on it, not sure why that didn't happened, but he was brought a slice of cake with happy birthday and his name. The food was absolutely delicious!! The ambiance was perfect, service, waiters, jazz music playing. It was such an amazing time. I loved everything about it. We were in the lounge area and it was cozy and intimate. A little pricey, but worth it.

Service was truly exceptional. Always attentive and the just right balance of friendliness and formality. Savory dishes were classic yet innovative, delicious, and highly memorable. Excellent variety on a flexible menu. Desserts were otherworldly. Price point was high but not unreasonable for the overall quality and ambience. Four courses left me fully satisfied and wanting to come back again!

This is absolutely one of the most amazing dining experiences. The menu is creative, with some hard to find ingredients, and the food is absolutely divine. Truly an amazing experience for the taste buds. The service is superb, and the decor is just gorgeous. Everything was just brilliant. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny.

Excellent service, I appreciate that our waiter brought back the cocktail menu when I finished my first drink so I could choose another fun drink. My partner who doesn’t drink also appreciated the craft mocktails. I also appreciate the bread person returning so we could try all 3 breads. At the end, I appreciated the bill being placed equidistant between my partner and I. Some other New York restaurants automatically handed the bill to my male counterpart so I appreciate Daniel being more progressive and understanding that couples share eating out expenses. We loved our souvenir take-home menu and treats for the next morning.

The ambiance and service were particularly nice. The food, of course, was amazing. We had the four course pre fixe and all of the courses were delicious. Portion sizes were generous. The king crab salad and lamb chops were favorites. It is expensive, as we knew going in, but worth the splurge!

We had a Lounge reservation, and really enjoyed the venue. It is quite, and the staff is quite attentive. I would expect that the atmosphere is more casual than in the main dining room, and that's fine with us. II have one comment comment about the food. While everything was excellent, i found myself wanting just a smidge more of the entrees.

Our experience with Daniel was phenomenal!! From the moment we sat down to leaving 3 1/2 hours later, soup to nuts it was the best experience ever!!! Worst experience Ever coming to NY! We were so discriminated against as couples all around us that were waited on hand and foot. Waiter was no where to be found, semolina was the worst ever and so rude and for the price was totally not worth it at all!! Will not return. Don’t waist your money here. Too many other places.

I had an early dinner in the Lounge with a toddler during a vacation to NYC. The staff was very accommodating, and they got our meal to us quickly with an expedited dining experience. Since it was 5pm and a slower night, they staff sat other diners at another location of the lounge. This was done so my toddler wouldn’t disrupt the other diners, but it too made me relaxed knowing that if my toddler became rambunctious there wasn’t people sitting right beside me. We had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and friendly staff.

Impeccable. Absolutely impeccable. The food was wonderful but the service was just out of this world. I dined alone and the staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable and take good care of me. The service was all of the stuff you’d expect of a Michelin starred place but a few standouts: 1) the waiter captain indulged me in wanting my picture taken, taking great care to move the candle and make sure the lighting was flattering (I was the only one at the restaurant at this point so this wasn’t obnoxious to other guests, I promise) 2) the general manager personally walked me outside and got a cab for me at the end of the night Just fabulous. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic. Had the 7 course tasting menu with my wife for my birthday with wine pairing. Food was spectacular, especially the sweet breads and the mosaic. Service was welcoming and attentive. Truly worthy of its michelin rating. Isn't cheap

Closest thing to a religious experience for a food lover. We dined on Thanksgiving and it was the best Thanksgiving we have ever had it are ever likely to have. Impeccable service, delicious dishes, beautiful plating, generous portions, and even accommodated a vegan in the party. This is the height of fine dining as it is meant to be. We left stuffed, happy, and quite frankly somewhat delirious. An experience of a lifetime!

Here's the deal. Everything about Daniel's Lounge is amazing. Food, service and ambience. But all of this goodness comes at a very large price. I know, you get what you pay for... but at some point you start to feel a little self-conscious. It's the value thing. It's just a little bit discomforting to spend that much money for a meal... even if you're very wealthy, or just comfortably well off. All that said, I'd return at some point, but not soon... I need to resolve the value thing in my head.

They had amazing service. I was so disappointed that my last dish from our 4 course pairing was the worst steak I have ever had. I was so tough to cut threw. However it was my boyfriends birthday and they made him a special keepsake memory - their service made up for it!! I highly recommend and would go again.

Amazing food and wine service. Terrific selection of good value bottles as well as very expensive ones. The sommelier has been excellent in helping us choose just the right one. This was our fourth visit and it is always a real treat! The menus are the same whether in the lounge or the main dining room. The main dining room so much more elegant- really lovely. People do dress up quite a bit which makes it feel very special. The waitstaff is extremely professional and attentive. They cannot do enough for you as a client. They have obviously been very well-trained. No matter what you order, it will be delicious and very artfully prepared. The menu changes with the seasons. For example, I just had a lovely venison dish and there were truffles available as it is white truffle season. You simply cannot go wrong at Daniel.
