Dania's Ratings and Reviews
We went to Dania's for dinner on New Year's Eve, after going to the Peach Bowl. It wasn't busy at all yet the service was very slow. The limited menu surprised us! There were only 6 or 7 entrees available: two pasta dishes, two kabobs' dishes and something else. I ordered lasagna and to my surprise, they didn't have a side salad available to go with. Instead, the salads were regular size. To top it off, they included a 20% tip on the bill at were were only 4 people in our party. Very disappointing experience!
The food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. The tented Lebanese atmosphere was interrupted by the view of the bar and the televisions above it.We learned that they recently expanded their menu to include dinner so they were very few patrons, but I would expect this will not be the case as soon as people realize the delicious food available for dinner at Dania's
We arrived a little early for our reservations, but that was no problem. Ramsey was our waiter wand was so ever attentive. Sometimes it pays to go with suggestions from staff and this was one of those times. The hummus is homemade and very good. I tend to be very particular about hummus as I make my own at home. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and served with perfectly seasoned fresh veggies. Ramsey also suggested the lasagne, it is a must! Our meal was delicious and the atmosphere is eclectic. We will return!
After a long trade show day as a vendor at the Atlanta Mart, my colleague and I needed a place to unwind and rest our feet after Day 1. Dania's, in general, and Ramsey, the manager, in particular made our night. The food and drinks were phenomenal. Ours was a quiet night there since the restaurant is located near Georgia Tech and we understand it is a hot spot for students. We were lucky that we had Ramsey mostly to ourselves. He gave us great suggestions on what to try, and he was never wrong! We wanted to go back two days later but couldn't because it is closed on Sundays.
When we were in Atlanta last month we found this restaurant on Open Table and decided to try it because the menu looked interesting. The food and service were so good that we specifically made plans to return during our trip last week. Once again, the food and service were excellent. Ramsey, the restaurant owner, served our table and was extremely attentive. We plan to return to the restaurant next year when we return to Atlanta
Dania's new management has made vast improvements to the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. The price was very reasonable. The interior of the restaurant needs updating but don't be put off by this. The dinner we had more than made up for the decor.
Service was fantastic, food was really, really good. The biggest problem with his restaurant is that it looked to be closed from the outside, due to the lighting in the front. Inside, it has a large bar, great food choices and great service.
We were walking by after looking for a place to eat without an hour wait time. Found the restaurant on OPEN TABLE and made the reservation for 15 minutes ahead. Came in, the server prepared a table for 5 in the back. We all had terrific dinners, with terrific service and had a chance to talk to each other without disruption.
I split a greek salad with a co-worker and had the spaghetti and meatballs. They also have some seafood dishes and greek offerings. They have something for any palate.
I recommend this restaurant highly, it is a true FIND.
I came across this restaurant through OpenTable when visiting Atlanta for a conference. We were a little nervous when we arrived, as the place looked dark, and there did not appear to be anyone inside as we first entered. But Ramsey, the owner, met us at the door and sat us. He explained to us that his restaurant is reservation-only for dinner, as everything is prepared and cooked to order.
The food was fantastic, and Ramsey was attentive to our needs. We were so impressed by the quality of the food, the portions, and the friendliness of the owner. This place, as described by others, certainly is a gem. I would love to come back to Dania's. I hope to make it back to Atlanta again soon so I can.
Make reservations or the chef may not be brought in. But we did and all was delicious-smooth, tasty hummus; homemade pita chips...
And when the owner heard that we were celebrating a birthday and the birth of a new baby we got complimentary champagne! Pasta was fresh. Tomato sauce made in house. And the kebabs were middle-eastern. Huge portions with great ambiance...
Typically, Dania's attracts a lunch crowd but was a fantastic choice for dinner. This is an easy walk from area hotels. There were three of us and we all loved the food, ambience and especially, the service. We were treated like family and felt so welcome thanks to my new Lebanese friend. This was a business dinner and one of the most pleasurable dining experiences I've had in my career! Specialty cocktails were great as well. Check it out.
Found this gem in downtown Atlanta and couldn't be happier. Just hope it survives as it was very quiet and in a bit of a sketchy area, but hopefully people will give it a chance. Outstanding service, very personal and charming. Lamb kebab was excellent, want to go back and try more items.
We were stuck for a restaurant that could accommodate a huge group on a Saturday night. Dania's came through and made our group feel completely welcomed. The service was great, and while the brick-oven pizzas could have come out a little quicker, the waitstaff could not have been more attentive. I had the grilled lamb chops, and they were perfectly cooked and delicious. People were raving about the pizzas and the pasta as well. Definitely recommend!
I came into Atlanta for a work trip and stayed downtown. I decided to try Dania's for dinner since it was close by to my hotel, but was more than blown away. I love lamb chops/rack of lamb, but so few restaurants do them well. Not Dania's. They were marinated to perfection and probably the best I have eaten in ages. The portion size was good too. In my hometown, the servers are really nice, but they were so friendly at Dania's that it felt like I was at home too. Really nice and attentive. I tried another restaurant the next night for variety, but had to go back to Dania's for lamb again since it was my last night in town. Looking forward to coming back.
So we came in to Danias for dinner for my birthday. I was greeted by the bar tender Kashlan who actually ended up being our server and bartender all together. Let me just say he really made my birthday experience all the better. We started off with calamari and both had kabobs. I had the chicken and he had the lamb. Both were fantastic! To finish Kashlan brought me out a slice of chocolate cake with ice cream and a candle which I thought was really nice of him although it didn't end there. He also gave us both glasses of champagne with a flower in each that were edible! (That was a first) This place was an absolute pleasant suprise. Even though he had other people to attend to he made sure we were happy. I hope to come back again soon!
My daughter and 11 of her friends had dinner at your restaurant this past Saturday before attending their Prom. It was fantastic from what I was told. They loved their server and the food was great. They would eat there again in a heartbeat.
We made reservations and where quick to sit down. After 15 min of looking over the menu, no one came by our table. The people sitting next to us said it had been 20 minutes and they hadn't received their drinks that they did order. Beautiful space but no service.
We had reservations on a Saturday evening, and we were the only ones in the restaurant! That made us a bit apprehensive, but the food variety was good for a group of meat eaters and vegetarians alike-something for everyone. The chef was able to accommodate requests easily. Would definitely recommend this if you are looking for good food and good service.
We should have been suspicious when they were so eager for our large party to come. The website looked great and promised live music and belly dancing. On the website, it looks like a two-story jazz club. They must have paid a lot for Photoshop and a fiction writer because the website was a hoax. When they said they could accommodate 20 people, all they meant was we could fit in the restaurant, and barely at that. One server and the cook was the bartender. Not enough tables to pull them together to seat us and major construction in the front of the store. The food was edible at best. I was embarrassed that I invited people there. I will never go again and neither will any of my party. The should be removed from open table.
We decided on this restaurant because it was New Year's Eve and we wanted to walk to see the Peach Drop. The first issue was that we made a reservation and they had trouble getting us a table. That is a huge turnoff. Next, the restaurant seemed full, but not overly crowded, and the wait staff was super overwhelmed. Had it not been for a nice hostess who decided to wait on us, we would have had no service. In fact several tables around us left after no one acknowledged them for 20-30 minutes. I felt like I was in someone's home and they were throwing a terrible party. The food wasn't that great, some of it was cold and not warmed all the way through. The drinks sizes were smaller when we ordered a second round and no one could explain.
It was nearly deserted when we were there at 8:00 on a Friday night for dinner. Four or five other people showed up later, but otherwise, there was nothing going on there. The food was OK (although I had hoped to find more Mediterranean options on the menu), the waitress was nice, but the place definitely had a run down look to it. Too bad. It was probably awesome at one time.
