service was very attentive both at the bar and the table. The food selection was above average.
we never felt rushed during our selection or when the food was served
Food is traditional Italian... Everything is good!!! If it’s your birthday ask the waiter to have Sal (the owner) sing happy birthday... We had a great experience...
This is an older place with traditional fare. If you are looking for traditional Italian food this may be your place. If you are looking for exceptional food, look elsewhere.
Food was quite bad - overcooked - very dry. Won't go there again.
Had a memorable evening. Welcoming staff and owner. Old school feel with solid food and good service. Kids menu and Shirley temples made our 9 year old feel very welcome too. We will be back.
Everyone was super nice and the food was amazing !
First time visiting food and service was delicious. Will be back again
Food was mediocre; sadly old and overpriced.
Disappointed. Too many other restaurants to visit. Don’t waste your time or money.
The food and service were both excellent. We walked in to a active restaurant with a great vibe, but were taken to a side room where we were the only diners for the entirety of our meal. We could hear all the sounds of a fun atmosphere, but didn't feel like they wanted us to be part of it. That said, their pasta and marinara side was top notch! We had the chicken parm and the veal marsala and both were excellent.
Hidden gem that is perfect for a special occasion. Great food and athmosphere. Highly recommend.
The food was absolutely splendid.
I’ve eaten at D’Angelos on a number of occasions over the years and have never been disappointed. The food was exceptional (from the antipasto down to the desserts) and the service by the entire staff was excellent. Great for groups or just a date night.
Food was authentic. Kids meals were overpriced and too much for smaller kids
The food was excellent and the service was on point. Would definitely go back and highly recommend it to others.
Well worth it that we are looking forward to be back again. This place is a family owned business going on 30?years! Surprisingly, at the end of our meal the owner was playing the guitar n singing to the customers:)
This place is just not up to the standard of Italian food in the East Coast US. I don't even know where to begin.
The prices on the wine list are out of control in a place that doesn't look like it's been updated since George Bush (the first one) was president.
Bread on table is the sorriest excuse for Italian bread I have ever seen. it was a step above wonder bread.
Their appetizer of fried calamari was the most paltry serving I've ever seen. I kid you not, 12 pieces. It was under seasoned are served on top of what looked like day old, wilted greens.
Their chicken parm was unremarkable. Forgettable sauce.
Veal milanese was a complete joke. A greasy battered cutlet with what looked liked chunky herbs in the batter (no matter you couldn't taste the herbs they were probably dried and lost their flavor) and served over 8 pieces (I counted) of what looked like a grocery store spring mix that was days old and one the way out. The greens were wilted and not because of heat because they looked like they been around too long.
We skipped dessert, why bother.
With so many excellent Italian restaurants in the Rittenhouse Square area, there is no reason to come to this one.
Entree served cold, too many platters contained small frozen shrimp.
Only plus, wait staff and wine.
I will not return.
We had lunch here for restaurant week and had a 3 course lunch; soup or salad, entree and cannoli for dessert for $20. Drinks, tip and tax were not included. We had to order from a special restaurant week lunch menu with limited entrees. I got the fettuccine Alfredo and it was excellent. My friend got chicken parm and thought that was good too. Strangely it came with roasted potatoes instead of spaghetti. I tasted a bite of potato and it was good but we agreed we would much rather have spaghetti than potatoes with chicken parm. The cannoli was made with ricotta cheese and tasted great but was on the small side. Overall we enjoyed our lunch at D'Angelo's.
This was a perfect spot for a 51st birthday dinner. We had a great meal then enjoyed the DJ and dancing after. Such a fun night. Definitely recommend for a celebratory evening or a date where you want dinner and dancing with and older crowd vs a big nightclub full of younger people.
We went for restaurant week after looking online at the special. However, when we sat down, we were notified that restaurant week was only valid during the weeknights. This was not mentioned on the website. Complete bait and switch. Also, the entrees were average. Nothing special
Pretty on the outside; lovely on the inside. The service was fine but the food left much to be desired.
The food was just okay. But our water served us tonic water instead of sprite TWICE. Chicken parm could've been crispier to go with all the sauce it was served with. Lobster raviolli was ok. And the Fettuchini with crab and spinach was just okay. All in all it was a sub-par meal.
Good food, great service.
This place was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and it was a great suggestion. Everything we ate starting with the stuffed mushrooms and calamari was delicious. My wife had the cannelloni and I had probably the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever had. Our waiter Alex was very down to earth and great to conversate with.
Very good but we thought we were going to D'Angolo's so we're disappointed...and didn't care for the overpriced menu.
The food and service are always outstanding. The menu has good variety with classic Italian dishes and some house specialties that are as creative as they are delicious. The owners pride themselves in making all of their patrons feel like family, which is one reason why it has developed such a Kyla following for many years.
Great Italian Home-style cooking, delicious steaks, pasta dishes, excellent seafood. Sal is a fantastic host.
Food and service first rate. Owner very friendly and welcoming
Food was delicious, we each had pasta and salads and everyone loved their food. It got a bit loud as the restaurant filled up. Would go here again and take guests.
Awesome meal, Alex waiter was the best I’ve had in years.
