Great outdoor seating. Very cozy
Took us 45mins to be seated after having a 7:30 reservation. Food was bland no seasoning at all & a little over priced for how it tasted. Nice ambiance, staff & nice portions
The food was delicious! Huge serving sizes, and came out piping hot. We had spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm, both were so good!
I walk by D’Angelos all the time and am so glad that we finally stopped in for dinner. Their outdoor set up is great as well, a solid wood structure protecting you from cars and wind and plenty of heat lamps!
Food is incredible, Gus and staff make this A++
Outstanding in every way
Sal is an excellent host!

We come to D’Angelo’s while my son is at dance class next door. Gus is the absolute best!
Great food great service! Outside dining is relaxing
Best Italian food in the city. bets meatballs and sausage
We had an absolutely wonderful experience here, alfresco dining, wonderful service and outstanding food from the appetizer to dessert
Great ambiance. Authentic Italian food that is Fresh Fresh Fresh!
Due to Covid, we ate outside. The weather was pleasant and the food was very good. Our server was not very attentive. After waiting an extended period of time, another server finally came over to ask us if we wanted dessert.
The food was nothing special.
Such a nice cozy spot for an authentic Italian meal. Everyone from the owner to the staff were amazing!
Very good dining situation despite COVID! Tables on the sidewalk provided nice ambiance. Food was great.
It was good and the atmosphere was great.
Came here for restaurant week with friends and absolutely loved it. Beautiful outdoor area to eat, excellent service and delicious food, what more could one want!?
Chicken parmesan was so good! Love the bread and oil mixture
Food was good and the service was even better.
Food was terrible, especially during restaurant week when the restaurant should have been bending over backwards to impress new customers. Will not return.
This is a friendly neighborhood restaurant with consistently good food.
The food was very good. The hostess not so much. She was very rude and ignorant. Only 1 unisex bathroom to use for the whole restaurant. There was a sign that said additional bathrooms upstairs. So when I decided to head upstairs I made it to the top of the stairs and the hostess names Michelle stopped me and told me it's closed upstairs. When I tried to explain that the signage in the downstairs bathroom directed you to go upstairs she was not having it and was very unprofessional in the way she handled herself.
Really enjoy the food, the service, the overall experience was brilliant.
Excellent food and service . Sitting on the street on 20th during rush hour is not exactly the best but made due.
Service was subpar. A server noticed we hadn't been greeted (we weren't in his section) in 10 minutes, so he took our drink order, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, we never saw him or our drinks for another 15-20 mins, so we flagged down another server. They brought the wrong drink out, but all of this was kind of minor stuff to me.
The food was just plain bland. We had the Restaurant week menu. The lentil soup had no spice or seasoning to it. The salad about as tasteless and boring as a salad could be. For entrees, we had the 3 mushroom steak and the salmon. The salmon was much better than the steak, but was still lacking salt and seasoning. The steak was just bad. I like a touch of char, but this tasted like we were eating ashes. The sauce and mushrooms had no flavor, which only made the char flavor more pronounced.
I was a server in a chain Italian restaurant for 7 years and got a great recommendation of this place from a friend, so I was excited to try it, but I can't see myself ever coming back. It's possible we caught them on a bad night, but there's loads of better Italian places in the city if that is what you're craving.
Great service and the owner is the best
Service and atmosphere are always outstanding. Whether your dinner is at a table or you are enjoying the comfortable bar scene, it is always a wonderful experience. D'Angelo's so fits with the Rittenhouse lifestyle.
Great waiter. Delicious food. Very cool interior with framed photos of famous people who have dined there. Thanks!!
This was our second time here, again the food was delicious. Crab linguine, meatballs and ravioli, tiramisu- the bread was cold and very dissatisfying. Philadelphia and Italian? The bread should be a no brained.
Food was very good , service was attentive and prompt! Would def go back again!
The food was okay. I think it was overpriced for the quality we received.
I chose D’Angelo’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This was actually our second time here by chance and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner was extremely nice and sociable, the service was top notch and the food was timely and excellent Italian food. They gave my wife a complimentary piece of cheese cake and sang her happy birthday. Then the owner cane over and personally sang happy birthday which was so nice and he also had a good voice!
Food is always wonderful here. The wait staff is also excellent.
Our favorite in the neighborhood

Terrible food. Very expensive for cost. Ravioli entree was literally 4 raviolis.
This is the first review I've ever written about a restaurant in my entire life. As someone who has worked in the service industry i understand that it is a difficult field to work in. However, after last nights Valentines Dinner, I had some problems with this place.
Food was fine so if you're looking to just eat then you should be good.
We had two servers jump between us all night, each one asking if we've had our drink order taken, or food order, so it was confusing who our server was. On top of that, there was inconsistent service between tables. For example, every table but ours was served house bread. We asked our server for house bread and we never got it. Even more, when we were served our food we were asked if we wanted cheese and pepper to which we said yes. The server went to get it, stopped at 2 other tables, about 4-5 minutes of us waiting for him to come back.
Next up was the decor....because behind our table was a completely dead and fragile poinsettia. Now when the girlfriend mentions a dying flower directly behind her head.... well you can imagine.
The last thing that really made the night terrible was when the bill came. Now mind you, we were a 2 top, with our bill coming to $104. So, seeing that we had below sub-par service, i was expecting to tip about 15-18%. Except when the bill came THEY ADDED 20% GRATUITY and already ran my card. How disgraceful of a place to not let patrons choose their own tip. If it we a 5+ top, i would understand, but for a 2 top, unbelievable.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO EAT.
Good experience with friends on double date. Delicious food in a very festive atmosphere for Valentine’s Day.
We had a 6pm reservation on Valentine’s Day. Traffic was horrible and we ended up getting to the restaurant at about 630. They still seated us right away! The food was excellent and the service was great! Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the city.
What a terrific meal, especially on a holiday (Valentine's Day), where the restaurant tables were decorated with little hearts, the rooms filled - tastefully - with balloons, and the ladies presented with a fresh, red rose after the meal. Charming, as is the owner, who visits most tables while keeping a watchful eye over his professional, experienced staff. And the food was delicious, reasonably priced, served exactly as ordered. Our Caprese salad had outstanding mozzarella cheese over fresh tomatoes; our entrees included fresh fish of the day, prepared simply and tastefully, and a chicken with artichokes with a side of broccoli rabe. Pastas and red gravy were top notch. You can also eat at the bar and there is music and dancing on some evenings. Lively, fun and also good for a business lunch, D'Angelo's is a winner.
The food was okay. Pretty bland and dry with pasta that was clearly microwaved. The parts around the edge were cold with the parts in the middle scolding hot. Service was solid but the place is wildly overpriced. Paid $135 for an appetizer, 3 entrees, a dessert, and one glass of wine. The menu's entrees were upper $20s mostly with upper teens quality.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend!
