Thank you for enjoying our hospitality.
This restaurant had impeccable service. We were greeted and seated immediately. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable about food selection and preparation. We wanted for nothing.
On the way out, we met the delightful owner… Warm friendly and effusive! He encouraged us to come back and we will return.
Great meal with great service.
Sal is amazing... great food, great place with great friends!!
first time there...the food was very good. went during restaurant week but will go again for sure. when they started to sing, it reminded me of my honeymoon in italy
Classic Italian restaurant in Rittenhouse Square. Exceptional food, service and ambience. You can feel the old world charm that permeates the building!
Pretty good food. Will definitely return
Food was delicious. They have the best cannoli. I've ever had.
Good classic Philly Italian. Nothing amazingly special just classic good cookin.
Food was amazing had a great will be back very soon
Although the food was delicious, we just got the feeling that our service was an afterthought. My salad was served without my husband receiving his soup. We had to ask for it once we could flag our server. Other tables, who were also ordering alcohol, received more attention. The restaurant was not crowded for lunch even though it was restaurant week.
Actual menu items priced higher than online menu. Special was described incorrectly, used vegetables from a can or frozen. Overall and unremarkable meal.
Even when issue was mentioned regarding “the special”, no manager or person even came by to discuss. Just a vague, I’m sorry from the waiter.
Great food, very nice hostess and staff, reasonable prices. Very nice dining experience.
They made the fatal mistake of having their dining room server and server assistant also tend to the adjacent banquet of 49 people. It took almost an hour to receive our entrées and our empty appetizer plates were in front of us for 15 minutes. The dining room only had us 3 plus a 2-top!
The food is consistently delicious, the drinks are superb, when the club starts it’s like a European disco, and to top it off, Sal D’Angelo is a great crooner!! You can sit outside or upstairs; it’s all great!
Huge restaurant! Great location and service was amazing. There’s a full bar and tons of wine options.
Live eating outside.
Great food, great service, nostalgic ambience. Wonderful dining experience for special occasions!
Amazing authentic Italian restaurant. We sat at an outside table. A little pricey but I’ll visit again.
Great people, great food, really enjoyable evening
An excellent restaurant
This was our first time at D'Angelo's. First, the location just off Rittenhouse Sq. is great. We ate in the upstairs dining room and were there at 7:00 on a Saturday night. It was not very crowded, so the noise level was pretty mild. The food was very good. I really liked their "gravy". Chunks of tomatoes and not sugary sweet. They had whole wheat pasta which is a nice touch. It's a very good, traditional Italian restaurant that would be just as easily at home in South Philadelphia.
Sal was great as well as our server! Definitely coming back. Food was 🔥
Great place to get together as friends and celebrate the end the semester!
This was our second time at D'Angelo's. The food was wonderful again. Wait staff was very attentive. We will definitely be back soon!
Always a great evening of excellent service and fabulous food !!!!
First visit but definitely not the last. Dinner was excellent. Jimmys salad, veal milanaise, chicken marsala. Birthday dessert of tiramisu!!!
Overall food quality is excellent. Presentation is meh but food is very good. Nice atmosphere in great neighborhood. Only complaint, don't give me tomatoes on my salad that have just come out of the fridge. Tomatoes should never be refrigerated..
Prices were very high. The food was fairly good, but we had two items that were delivered incorrectly, and there was an appetizer "special" with no listed price that was VERY expensive once we got our bill.
Our party thoroughly enjoyed each of our meals. The service was superb. We dined on the second floor which was a really nice atmosphere.
Great Italian restaurant! We’ll be back the next time we are in Philly. Fabulous food and outstanding service for our party of 10. Everyone enjoyed the evening!
Quality old school Italian food with Sinatra on the stereo. Good service and overall ambiance. The food's a bit pricey -- especially non-menu specials where prices aren't mentioned -- but it's definitely tasty.
Was there for a business dinner. Large wine selection, food was amazing, and Service was second to none. Noise level was high due to one table a very loud men.. The ambience is beautiful and the overall experience was fantastic. One of my colleagues commented about staying another night just to eat dinner there again. Found her front sa The ambience is beautiful and the overall experience was fantastic. One of my colleagues commented about staying another night just to eat dinner there again. All four plates were delicious.
Old school Italian with great service, great food, nice wine list, and friendly employees. We will be back again.
Great choice, convenient location. Warm friendly welcome. Solid waiter service. Outstanding veal.... we had two preparations. Melted in mouth, great taste..... solid experience.... will return for sure
Always a wonderful dining experience
Owners are so welcoming and helpful
A true Italian meal and ambience!
Owner is lovely. Food was excellent.
Wonderful staff, delicious food, and excellent service! Highly recommend!
This elegant family owned restaurant was high quality and delicious!
Fabulous in every way! Our party of 5 enjoyed the food, atmosphere and beverages. We were serenaded by the owner who is sweet and politely engaging. Wait staff on point and kitchen knows what they are doing. Note: excellent attention to our GF/Celiac needs. Best Italian we have had in years!! Downstairs turns into a dance lounge late. Lots of fun! We will be back ASAP.
Food was for the most part good, old school southern Italian. The service was slow, choppy and not well done for what this restaurant charges. Beware- they also had the nerve to tack on a 20% service charge for 5 people - with no mention of this policy anywhere on the menu. They offered to take it off when we objected but by then we were out the door
