Angelo Elia Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas - Oakland Park
Opening Angelo Elia Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas - Oakland Park was a passion of Chef Angelo Elia for more than eight years. While Casa D'Angelo has been a place for him to showcase his depth of Italian technique, he wanted to create a restaurant that felt more like the simple Italy he visits year after year where ingredients are at the forefront. A place where you could come and sit and pick at food as you want with friends. But it didn't come that easy. Like all things that are simple, careful thought and research has gone into the menu and the guarded sources of our premium ingredients. In the end, D’Angelo is all about friends and a good bottle of wine enjoyed in a contemporary, easy dining atmosphere.

I am a lover of eggplant rollatini and always though that the preparation here was outstanding. Imagine my disappointment when it arrived and was noting like I had before. Why do restaurants do these things. If you serve a dish in. A certain way for years and it is a winner why change it. People trying too hard to be creative and miss the point the the customer is truly always right. My credit card; my pleasure.
Food was great. Service was sub par. Server was polite and accommodating but steps of service missing. Worth the visit for the food. Service needs more training
The food is always excellent at this restaurant. The service was also very good. I have been many times before and I will be back!
Amazing food and great service from Stephan
His is very knowledgeable about his wines
The best bartender in town
He is a great asset for your company
Stevan is wonderful! Glad you enjoyed your time with us, we look forward to having you dine with us again!
Not up to par. Restaurant was very understaffed and seemingly overwhelmed. Wait time was significant for ordering. We did, however, appreciate the complimentary dessert.
Diverse menu - much more than just pizza and tapas.
Food and service both excellent.
Excellent food and atmosphere staff is always great
The food was very good. Our server, Aquila was amazing. She made us feel at home. She was warm, friendly and professional. Thank you to Aquila and everyone there for a very enjoyable evening.
Very enjoyable. We took new friends there and they
Vowed to return. This restaurant is our “go to” place when we are in Pompano.
Amazing as always!
If you reserve monday on half price wine the restaurant charge gratuity on full price wine
One of the best Italian restaurants in area !! Our favorite go to spot !!
Great dinner, as always.
Service, food and ambiance was amazing! I highly recommend ❣️
This was our first time at Angelos. It is an attractive respectful five with indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to dine inside. Our wait person was pleasant and attentive. He answered our questions about the menu.
There were three of us. We ordered two orders of the eggplant parmigiana, a Caesar salad and the spaghetti with veal meatballs. We had a bottle of Chianti’s and we shared the chocolate lava cake. It was all delicious. Portions are nice sized and prices are reasonable.
We will definitely return.
Too loud. Good quality below average for the price.
We have eaten here many times. Front patio not the best location in the restaurant.
Good food, good friends, we love our server, Victor so we'll overlook any short falls this visit.
It was my 2nd time at Angelo and it was amazing food!!
Music to loud, a table for four persons are too small.
Meh. Meh. Nah.
Had an unfortunate experience we were seated right away, waitress took dinner order couple at next table were eating starters, bus boy arrives with our order and the diner at the next table physically made the bus boy turn around and told him it was theirs, I tried to explain that the pizza had pears and figs to which he replied he goes there all the time and he knows what he ordered the bus boy left the dinners with them( at customers insistence) nit to many minutes go by when the same crust calls his waiter over and said he has the wrong order surprise surprise he tried to give my husband the pizza which he had already bitten into we said no way our waiter then came over and apologized said it was the bus boy’s fault I told her this was not so, anyway the other diners left and we got our order, no harm done except that when our waiter came back fir dessert order Intold her what had happened she said she would tell a Manager as there was a $ value attached to the mistake as long as the bus boy did not lose out I am happy
My friends and I have dined here many times and have always loved our food. Tonight was a major disappointment. We were a party of Three and found that none of our food met the usual standards
Hopefully our next visit will see a return to our expectations.
While tables are close together, I didn’t feel too close to those near us or able to clearly hear conversations. Our server was new(ish) and worked hard to do his best. My biggest complaint and this can be said of many, far too many servers to count, is overuse of the word “guys”. We are a heterosexual couple and much prefer the term “folks”, I.e.- How are you folks this evening? We recently had a server say ‘Hello my friends, how are you this evening?’ Lovely opening! You guys is inserted everywhere! Just checking in with you guys, how is the food? Can I get you guys anything else?
It’s been a gripe of mine for some time, just wish it would change...
All in all, nice evening. Delisious sea bass and my husband’s rigatoni with bolognese was outstanding!
Amazing food, great people
Overall experience was good. We have been many times, food and value is great. Wait staff this time did not bring bread, we had to ask, then brought bread without oil, we had to ask which was not usual experience there. Other than that it was good and we will be back.
Busy Valentines Day and they didn’t miss a beat! Waiter Dan was great and food was superb!
Always great food and great service
Very good as usual
First visit. Food was very good. Eggplant parm very good cooked perfectly! Chicken panini equally good. Bread a bit too crusty. Will definitely be back!
We sat outdoors on the side patio
Don’t like the front patio it’s to close to the busy road
Food was good as usual the place was very busy
But the server was very prompt & professional
One of my favorite restaurants and this was definitely an off-night. We were seated promptly and the noise level belied the small crowd. Our waitress shouted from one end of the table and only half of our table could hear her recite the evening specials. She literally had to shout to be heard over the noise and it got worse as the evening wore on. The complimentary warm bread was toasted and they only had one basket left. I ordered the grouper and they served me branzino. The server argued and told me I had ordered branzino. By the time we finished dinner no one could sustain the noise long enough for dessert.
It’s still one of my favorites and I’ll go back again. Hoping this was just a bad night.
Enjoyed everything about our visit. Our server was delightful, and did a great job explaining the specials. Had carpaccio and rigatoni Bolognese and both were excellent. We would love to go back.
Always delicious and great service.
