Damon's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Damon's is a Glendale classic and has been around for many many years! I Love the Polynesian atmosphere and if you want a quick buzz, don't miss their famous mai tai's. The steaks are very good as is the shrimp (those are my favorites), but many come for the prime rib, the thick pork chop and even the burgers. Sports in the bar area, and they offer happy hour in there. Our "grown" kids favorite when it comes to their birthday dinners. The slice of b'day cake they give you on your bday is delicious! Next time I need to remember to ask where they get it (maybe Porto's next door??)
The service was efficient and friendly. We had the Thresher Shark and the Mahi Mahi.
Both dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. The casual vibe was appealing, but there were loud people nearby. The only negative issue was that we were charged for the garlic toast when we did not order. but was served with the salad. Hmmm.
Your Mie ties was the reason we used to go to your restaurant a lot, you absolutely need to improve the presentation, the taste and over all drink, we took a Lyft ride to your restaurant expecting to have several drinks but we only ordered 3 Mie ties and one of them was super strong, I can make a better tasting and presentation drink when it comes to Mie ties, your food was still good, your service was not, we kept asking for things and its was taking way to long to get them.
One of my favorite nostalgic restaurants has a "killer" lunch special. Monday thru Friday.Thursday is Stroganoff..delicious, generous portions...le s than 12 dollars...includes salad, bread and entree...a bargain...daily feature is on their website...the great service Damon's is known for...not too crowded, good parking in the lot behind
Been going here for 40 years. Food and service are always exceptional. The best house salad ever along with killer twice baked potatoes comes with your meal. I now live in Las Vegas and you don’t get squat with your steak when you order it. Killer garlic bread worlds greatest mai tai with crushed ice of course and always a delicious chunk of beef. Tiki themed Steakhouse come on baby you can’t go wrong. This place is winner winner Steak Dinner !!
We have been going to Damon's for over 25 years, but in the last few years, the quality of the food and drinks slipped considerably--so we stopped going. This Christmas, we took a chance and noted some much-needed upgrades in the food quality and drink mixing. We will no doubt continue to go back if this level of food/drink continues.
Excellent food and service. They really go out of their way to provide a great dining experience. I come here often, and have enjoyed everything off the menu. Brunch is fabulous as well as dinner. The bar can get real busy, and the service is not that attentive in that area. Make reservations if you don't want to wait.
We had a concert to attend at the nearby Alex Theater. We had a 6 p.m. reservation which was promptly honored on arrival. As usual, and we are repeat customers, we had excellent service and very good food. The restaurant was very crowded with large tables of families and coworkers but the wait staff and bus personnel kept things running smoothly. We were able to finish dinner by 7:30 and walked to the theater with ease. Damons has been around a long time and the food and ambiance are fun and we enjoy each visit. We pity those who dare to try to get in without a reservation on weekend nights. When we were there, the folks seeking a table without a reservation were being quoted a 1.5 hour wait! Thank God for open table!
Very busy this particular evening. Accommodating far too many large parties with not enough staff to go around (the dining room was uncomfortably over crowded with portable tables set up ). As a result, drinks from bar were slow in coming and staff was very rushed. Was not as enjoyable as it has been in the past.
Me and 2 of my girl friends and I went for ladies night and sat at the bar for happy hour. The drinks were strong like always. We got the half off appitizers which were delicious. Service from the waiters to take our orders was a bit slow but the servers bringing the food was super quick. We ordered two steak medallion specials that were delicious. The sides were thecreamed corn which hands down is the best I ever had, twice baked potato, and rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was so bland and under cooked I couldn’t eat it. We also got salads which were to die for. Overall I would be back for sure cuz Damon’s is one of those places that is fun and you always come back to.
Three of us went for the traditional Thanksgiving feast - fixed price at about $27.00 . Drinks were really strong. We only needed one drink to get into the holiday spirit. Hot garlic bread is worth the extra cost. YUMMY! We had so much food we took some home. We’ll be back next year. (Parking at the Orange Street parking structure is only $1.00)
