Service was friendly. Pasta was mushy. So so overall. Will not return. Too many other better Italian choices.
Love this neighborhood gem! Always consistent and food was great. Celebrated my daughter’s 22nd birthday. We’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The server always takes great care of us. Highly recommend!
We took our aunt for lunch this week. She uses a cane and had no trouble navigating. We ordered lasagna and tortellini and it was delicious! The waiter was attentive and kept our bread and ice tea re-filled. Will definitely return. Also good was the free 2 hr parking garage that connects to the rear of the restaurant.
Good food in a friendly, family atmosphere.
Have been coming here since they opened. Variety of menu selections. Love their spaghetti and meatballs. Sometimes when I can't get into the Village, I order thru Uber Eats!
Beautiful for Valentine’s Day!
Always good. Very consistent. Great local family owned restaurant.
Everything was great. Things got a little busy and it took some time to get our check but the food was great as usual.
D'Amico's is always delicious and an extreme value, especially at lunch. For less than $9, enjoy three healthy and authentic choices from the steam table, featuring salad, Italian specialties, meat, pasta, fish, veggies and desserts. Or, order from the awesome Lunch Menu. You won't find a better deal anywhere.
Discover a warm welcome, fresh and plentiful Slow Dough sourdough bread on the table. House-branded olive oil that is divine and flavorful. Friendly and comfortable setting, and if you are lucky, a visit with the hospitable owner.
I wish I lived next door.
The server was extremely slow and forgetful. Not proactive at all. Kept having to ask to order more items.
We had reservations and the table was ready when we arrived. The waitstaff were pleasant and well-informed about the menu. The food was very good and there was a LOT of it!
My only negative is that they have a full bar and I ordered a cocktail. They didn't have the particular liquor that I wanted. The waitress had to interrupt the bartender to ask him about what was available and he acted as though he couldn't be bothered. He never offered anything else as a substitute. I just told her to forget it and ordered iced tea.
It may seem like a small thing, but there are too many other Italian restaurants in Houston of similar quality where that would not be an issue. We enjoyed the food but decided we would not return.
Terrible. I made a reservation and they would not honor it! Because “their hostess left and she didn’t tell them about my reservation.” Really? I made my reservation on Open Table. Not with their hostess. They have no backup plan when their hostess leaves other than to turn people away that have reservations? Used to like this place, but will never go again.
D'Amico's was exactly the cozy atmosphere we were hoping to find for our annual holiday dinner date with friends. The service and food were excellent and, although it was a bit loud, we enjoyed the intimacy of a great 'neighborhood gem'.
What a great place, Food was amazing , make sure you have reservations it gets busy
Great location, very good food. Friendly service. Though we had to wait 35 minutes past our reservation to be seated.
This was our first time at D’amico’s. We were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. The restaurant was not crowded. The waiter, when he finally stopped over, seemed annoyed that we wanted wine. A second glass might have been nice, but we never saw him again once the food was dropped off. The dinner was okay. But nothing that we couldn’t find at our usual stomping grounds. Not sure we’ll be back any time soon.
My dinner was a bit off tonight but still very good. My biggest issue is the noise. I have dinner out for social reasons but when its that noisy its not fun. Also there is always issues with parking. It is common for the gates to not work and let you out. During this stay it was closed stating FULL. BUt soon as there was a shift change, the signs came down. Clearly they just did not want to deal with it until shift change.
Crab claws are a MUST! Great service and food. Anytime we are in Houston we eat here.
enjoy dinner enjoyed our waitress she was excellent
Eclectic little Italian eatery in the middle of Rice Village. Delicious food (Chicken Braciolentini was to die for), excellent selection of spirits and wine, and great service. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending this place to my family and friends, and will certainly return.
The only word that is necessary is “Yum!” Except I have to leave 50 characters... so “Yummy!”
Great neighborhood favorite. The newly enlarged outdoor patio area is terrific. Good is always predictably tasty. Good kids menu as well.
Lovely restaurant. Food is great. Expanded outdoor space is great. Needs more robust tables outside.
One of our favorite places for good casual dining. Lunch specials during the week have many choices, service is super fast for $9 plus beverage. Regular menu items for lunch & dinner are reasonably priced also.
Love this place! Quiet and cozy! Food is amazing!
the food was very good. the server was helpful once she realized it was our first time there. I like that they make their own pasta. will definitely go back.
We had the specials of the day. Both were fantastic! We will eat here again. Thanks!
We went for lunch. The lunch special is amazing. It has a great selection and the quality and quantity of the food is outstanding.
The food at D'Amico is not gourmet but it is definitely the best Italian food like my Italian friend's mother used to make. Leave room for the wonderful, creamy gelato.
Excellent three course meal for $8.95. Have been going to D'Amico's for 30 years. Always pleased.
Yummy! We all enjoyed our dinner.
Service was very slow even though it was almost empty when we arrived. Wait staff was very friendly, just wish they were more attentive. Took 45 minutes to get appetizer, another 25 minutes for salad, had to ask for entrees. Food was well worth the wait. Several other tables that came way after us were served and completed service while we waited for entrees.
D'amicos is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. It's consistently good & the service is always Great.
Excellent choice based upon being our first time here.
Had a nice table for 7 in the corner and the meals were great.
Service excellent. Wine great
D'amicos never fails to satisfy anyone we take there.
Not knowing what to expect this was a pleasant surprise. The Italian menu was good, the Ceasar salad was great, as were the entries. Nice little shelves to pick up authentic Italian menu ingredients.
Awesome stuffed peppers & terimasu.
Great location & service
The New Crab Dish was unsuitable for my date who has been to your restaurant many times, and never has had a complaint about your food.
She sent it back and got something else.
Food always good. They will change a menu item to accommodate you. They have gluten free pasta. Service was excellent. Very good food.
We ate at D'amicos for a friends birthday, and we really loved it. We were late for our reservation, but the restaurant was happy to accommodate anyway. The wine was very good, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy. It was quite noisy, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with. The food, ambiance, and service were all top notch. A Houston gem!
