First of all, the steak was delicious and tender; excellent flavor and perfectly cooked. The Wedge salad was good but much too big; it tasted good except it was 95% lettuce with 2 grape tomatoes and a few plain pecans. I’ve never heard of pecans on a wedge and hopefully won’t again; bacon would have helped this salad. The mashed potatoes were so-so at best- no real flavor. The waiter touted the apple crisp dessert but explained it takes 20 minutes to cook. We said that’s fine as we’ll finish our wine. 10-12 minutes later the crisp comes out; unfortunately it is barely cooked apples topped with something uncooked and accompanied by mostly melted ice cream in a bowl. (We requested the ice cream be served not on top of the crisp.). When we mentioned to the waiter that the ice cream was melted he said “we’re having a problem with our freezer.” We didn’t eat the melted ice cream and upon discovering the apples weren’t cooked in the crisp we left that as well. As appropriate, the waiter offered and did take the dessert off our bill but it doesn’t seem a quality steakhouse would offer such a poor dish; just tell customers there is no ice cream and offer another dessert. Even though the steak was very good I wouldn’t return due to the other poor or mediocre dishes.

Food was good! Staff A+
High quality steaks prepared to requested temperature with delicious sides! Service was on point. Seating actually provides more room than typical restaurants. Ambiance was nice, but not special.
It was amazing. We had not been able to get a table for 6 online and were told we could not reserve a table for more than 4 that evening when we called. When we arrived there was seating outside that we were able to take advantage of and we were able to seat our entire group at once.
Food was beyond delicious
The Dallas Chop House has very good food, service, and atmosphere. The wait staff is courteous and professional.
Food was phenomenal and service was outstanding
Great service! Great Valentine’s menu options!
Food was excellent. The problem I had is that I specifically asked for a main dining room table or booth. And we got sat in a side room, and were told it was because it was so busy. Yet there were at least 10 tables and a few booths empty. We felt extremely discriminated against being a mixed couple. I didn’t make my Judgment until I left and there was an empty booth and a few tables empty. Then it all hit me...we are an interracial couple that got sat in a room with a lesbian couple and another interracial couple and a colored couple. I couldn’t believe this, I have never in my life have felt discriminated against. I tipped 20% on a 200 dollar meal. I will never recommend this restaurant or go here again. This is 2020. SAD! They didn’t even try to hid it. I’ve been to many steakhouses in dallas and have never been treated like this including bobs and Perry’s. Pathetic. Steaks were great. Kudos to chefs.

For Valentines Day, I waited until the 11th hour to make reservations and had never eaten at Dallas Chop House and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, the valet drivers were super friendly and took very good care of my car by keeping it right outside the door. The hostess was friendly and immediately seated us. We were then promptly greeted by our server for the evening who was absolutely wonderful. The meal was prepared as ordered and didn’t take long to arrive. The steak was of good proportion and was cooked to order, however it slightly lacked in flavor. Maybe we’ll give them another try since this visit was on a high volume evening.
Very solid food, fine service and good atmosphere. The seafood selections are particularly good, especially the fresh gulf redfish.
Great location, and decent food.
Server was really nice.
Not impressed. Didn’t live up to the expectations or price. You should never leave an establishment like this still hungry after a $130 price tag. Service was the only thing this place had going for them. Food was ok. Best thing on the menu (that we tried) was the bacon wrapped asparagus. The welcoming champagne was a nice touch.

The Cold dining room wasn’t comfortable . Good popovers, The bone marrow appetizer was excellent. The Steak was the toughest I have ever been served in an upscale steak house , however the taste was excellent and it was perfectly cooked at medium rare. The side ( charred broccolini) was ok . The service was top flight , the prices were good for dallas .
Our server was DA BOMB!!!!
Booked for 5 end up needing to accommodate 7. They went out of their way to fit us all at one table. I heard no complaints of discomfort from my party and only compliments of the food and service.
A little loud however in the establishment.
We were expecting a superb Texas beef experience. My wife’s filet was dry and my dry aged rib-eye was tough and not worth the up charge.
The salads were delicious and they offered some nice amenities like a complimentary champagne toast and delicious lemon poppy seed muffins after the meal.
Bottom line, we went expecting a great steak and this chophouse fell short. It’s all about the beef. Too bad because they have many other things going for it.
Thank you for your feedback on your visit to Dallas Chop House. I'm sorry to hear that your dining experience was short of excellent. I have passed your comments regarding the filet and rib-eye on to the chef and upper management so they can address this issue with our team. Chip, our server was spot on, great service.
The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the fish course was also perfect.
Reasonable wine pricing.
Afterwards we finished with a nice glass of champagne in the bar.
All in all we were very pleased and certainly will return.
Service was poor. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but it took a long time to get drinks. Then the server brought the wrong drinks. Feed was good, atmosphere and location good too.

Excellent food. We had the porterhouse and a filet. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tender. The asparagus was just wonderful too. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We eat at the Dallas Chop House every year when we attend the Dallas Gift Show. There is one server who makes the evening a special one for us. He was there again, and we enjoyed our evening because of him, but ONLY because of him. We made a reservation and was placed in a "makeshift" room due to the restaurant being busy. It serves sometimes as a private dining room. I was confused when we were placed in that room but sat down deciding not to complain. I honestly felt as if I had left the Dallas Chop House and entered a Denny's. Formica tables, with place mats, harsh lighting and the door being closed off to the main restaurant made the meal incredibly uncomfortable based on what we expected (and paid for).
To make matters worse, there were four other tables in that little room filled with people who were attending a National Safari convention. They were very proud about killing elephants, zebras, lions and other endangered species, etc. and were sharing their experiences from table to table. One table also brought a baby that cried. Needless to say, our $300 dinner for two was not the experience we were hoping for.
Was any of this the restaurants fault? Probably not, other than they should have made us aware of where we were going to sit, and the demographics of the group. We were the only ones NOT wearing some sort of cammo, so it should have been a no brainer to put us in an area of the restaurant that may have been consistent with what your typical diner expects. While we are carnivores, we don't necessarily appreciate the senseless killing of animals as a trophy.
The food this time was just "good" and the drinks were marginal. Will we be back? Possibly, but the sting of paying a $300 bill for a Denny's experience is not easily forgotten!
My husband and I dined here for NYE. The food was amazing and the service just as great! There was a preset menu but the options were great. Our server did not rush us at all throughout the dinner. 3 courses and 2 bottles of wine later we were done, full and extremely happy. We will be back to try the rest of their regular menu. Great job Dallas Chop House!
It was ok. It was a fix menu for New Years but food was blah and came out faster than my drinks.

Disappointed with set menu that was served, was not worth the set price. This reservation was made at least two months in advance, they did not tell us about the set menu till the Friday before New Years. At that point it was too later to back out and find another place to dine..
We dined for New Years Eve and had an after dinner drink afterwards. The meal and bar experience were awesome, as always!
Brendan sat us down in the Atrium and it was nice and warm.
However, the table was dirty and wobbly so we moved to the next one.
The waiter did not bring us the pop-overs until after our order was placed and I had to ask him for them.
Food came out and my Caesar salad with salmon was not Good. The salad part was dry and not appetizing at all.
Overall a disappointing lunch with my friend.

Christmas Eve meal
The Dallas Chop House if one of our favorites in Downtown Dallas. Excellent service in both the dining room and at the bar.
Steaks we're cooked right and the service was exceptional.
Top notch service and fantastic food. The recommended wine was delicious
Went to the Chop House for a business dinner with 8 people. Initially concerned about the seating in the center of the room. Noise was not bad. Our Waiter was exceptional. Food and drinks were great.
