Dallas Chop House
Went to the Chop House for a business dinner with 8 people. Initially concerned about the seating in the center of the room. Noise was not bad. Our Waiter was exceptional. Food and drinks were great.

Steak was poor quality and server was pushy. Sides were bland. Just not high quality food and certainly not worth the high cost.

We made reservations for our 19th wedding anniversary. Was originally seated in the bar area next an outside door which kept getting opened and it was cold outside. Asked for a different table and was told they were booked. Eventually a manager told us someone would be Leaving in the next 30 mins. Decided to sit at the bar away from the door and had dinner there. Dennis was great and the only saving grace of the evening.
Food was subpar for the price. Staff was nice. Wine list was very short...

we made reservations and then were sat in the back room with just a few other tables. I would have preferred being in the main dinning room with the little more romantic feel for the evening .

Well done! The steaks were perfect and loved the creamed spinach. The cocktails were perfect. This place is one of our “go-to” spots for a great meal downtown!
I have been intrigued with trying the Dallas Chop House before a concert at the Majestic Theatre for quite some time. I decided to book a reservation prior to a concert last Thursday. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation time and our Host accommodated and seated us early. Our waiter asked us if we were attending an event at the Majestic and we affirmed. She went on to inform us of the Majestic Special they were offering. A bottle of wine, soup or salad, choice of entrée (6 oz filet/salmon/chicken), and shared desert. All for $100 a couple. No brainer!
The food was delicious, service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was awesome. We had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and arrive at the concert without rushing. This will be our regular routine whenever we attend an event at the Majestic in the future.
Solid choice for a business outing - good food and service in a relatively quiet setting. Will go back with downtown clients.
Attending an Ikebana International (Japanese Flower Arranging) Regional North American Conference at the Downtown Sheraton.
Surprisingly average. I've eaten there before and it was much better in the past. The steaks were small and not very tasty. The service was 'fine' but not engaging or great and the waiter really didn't listen to requests or explain the menu.
The service was very good, the meat was flavorful and tender. The sides are served family style, which I did not expect. However, it worked out well. We really enjoyed our meal.
Slow service; menu has changed, but not for the better. This the second time I’ve ordered something I did not like.
Made a reservation but offered to sit at the bar since I was alone. The young lady who worked the bar was certainly nice but it was obvious that they were understaffed and she had too much to do. My steak was supposed to be a 28 day dry aged rib eye but I don't believe it. I've had better steaks at Outback. Premium steakhouse price for an Outback steak, disappointed.

The appetizer and desert outstanding but the main meal steak was average at best and very disappointing. Also very disappointed the rib steak only came in a 24 ounce size. Also took a very long time to get service sitting at the bar before dinner.

No flavor at all @ $175 steak worst steak I had in a long time.. poor very poor not even the over price sauce help. My stupidity nevertheless again

Very noisy inside, so we ate outside which was pretty and quiet. No paper towels in the bathroom to dry your hands. I have food allergies and told my server exactly what to do, and she almost got it right. Chicken was overcooked, so I sent it back. New chicken was better, but still overcooked, so I gave up and ate most of it and left. We weren't offered dessert, but we were ready to leave.
Find another restaurant or stay at home!

This place is positioned as a prime steakhouse and the food was very average. Filet and Ribeyes were just ok and the service was slow. I was very excited to try this place and left disappointed.

Went 3 times. Had the same things served differently each time. Expect to spent $100/head
The food was delicious and the service was quick. It was a little noisy but a good time.
The food and drinks were average in terms of taste. The service and ambiance were above average.

Nice location, very good service. I was not impressed with the quality of the steaks for the price. I can spend the same money at Al Biernat's and get much higher quality.

Very loud group at the other end of the room where we were at, but they finally left about halfway through our meal.

We sat at the bar for drinks and dinner before a concert at the Statler. Great place and we will definitely return!

Our waiter was great! The food was very mediocre. Terrible sides slow service over all. Del Frisco is by far the best steak house I’ve been to!

Not a good experience. Waiter got my order wrong - he brought me a filet when I ordered a porterhouse. He obviously wasn’t paying attention when he took our order so they had to start cooking a porterhouse from scratch. So I had to stare at my Dad and brother eat their steak as I sat there waiting for my steak to be cooked. My Dad had to send his steak back b/c it was cooked wrong. When my steak was brought to me it wasn’t cooked the way I requested because they obviously rushed it trying to overcome their screwup. The steak was below average - doesn’t hold a candle to Nick & Sam’s, Bob’s, Capital Grill or Del Frisco’s. The manager came to our table as I was waiting on the steak and casually apologized for the screwup. However, no offer was made to provide a free dessert or port wine or anything for the screwup. He never checked in on us again, which you would have thought he would do with the screw up and because we were one of only 5 tables/customers at the restaurant. This is standard practice at other high end steak joints but evidently not at Dallas Chop House. And to top things off, we ordered a $100 bottle of wine and the waiter (who screwed up my order) poured the rest of the wine into my brother and Dad’s glass and left me out. So I got much less wine - expensive wine - that I was paying for since I was splitting the meal with my brother as we were taking my Dad out (and the waiter knew this). The waiter kept taking drinks and appetizers from the table before we were done with them and without asking. Finally, I inserted a note into Open Table for the restaurant to see that we were taking my Dad out for a special occasion. Not one mention of it all night by the waiter or restaurant. Nothing special done for it. Again, standard practice at Nick & Sam’s and all other high end steak restaurants in Dallas. So overall - terrible experience. Don’t waste your time going here.
Most amazing food! And wonderful chef recommendations to our table! Our dinner was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff knowledgeable of all food and drinks plus very attentive and friendly
Maybe steak is their thing. I got the salmon, not the best. I was there for lunch. Perhaps the dinner chef is better.
Beef tartare was delicious. I was there for DFW restaurant week menu. It was an excellent menu.

Wasn’t extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and there was no music. The ambiance wasn’t pleasant. Also, the food was just ok, not my best impression on my 1st visit.
We had the best time at Dallas Chop House. We went for Restaurant Week 2019, and the menu and food was fantastic! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and on top of things. Plus, we received complimentary sparkling wine and a small snack. Dallas Chop House really knows how to treat guests well. We enjoy it every time!
Excellent service... great atmosphere ... prices are what they are.. don’t mind paying for great food and that’s what they provide. Will be back
