Dallas Chop House
Great steaks all around our table, excellent service and perfect atmosphere for a great dining experience. Staff was attentive and everything was delicious.
Thoroughly enjoyed the staff and the food at the Dallas chophouse. There was an apple crumble dessert that was to die for.
Comfortable. Attentive staff. Great service. Excellent food.
Wonderful food and friendly service. I look forward to dining here when I travel to Dallas -- it's a special treat.
The wait staff was great and very attentative. The drink menu had lots of good options but unfortunately the food fell short. For the cost I expected more on the quality and taste of a steak when I’ve had better steaks that are half the price.
I love steak. I eat at high end steak houses often. The dry aged ribeye was not good. It was not very juicy and was not as tasty as a premium Tibet should be.
The service ambience and setting were fantastic!
Great salads for lunch.
We went early so was quiet. Food and service was awesome. I expected free valet parking when spending that much for a meal. Food was great but not $175 worth of great for 2 people, and that was with no drinks. Add another $10 for the parking. So special occasion only for me.
Everything was perfect just by the time we went to order most of the items were not available due to a special menu . Everything was still outstanding and good .
My date and I had dinner reservations at Dallas Chop House on NYE (i.e., 12/31/2018). Neither of us had ever dined there before. I chose to make reservations there almost entirely based on the content of their full online menu. Unfortunately, since it was NYE, the full menu wasn’t available; they were only serving 4-course NYE meals at $65/person, with limited options for each course. None of the options would have been among our first choices from the full menu. We were ultimately able to find acceptable alternatives, but they ran out of our first choice for dessert (Really!!?). In the end, the food was well-prepared and tasty, but it would have been helpful if I had been informed of the menu options at the time that I booked the reservation in early December. We had many other dining options at the time, and I would almost certainly have picked one them. I won’t go so far as to allege a “bait and switch” scheme, but the feeling was much the same.
Our server was reasonably attentive and and courteous, but this is the least that one would expect for >$200 dinner for 2. The decor seemed dated and stale.
Suffice to say, I won’t ever dine there again for any occasion.
Food was great as well as the atmosphere and service.
First time here on New Year's Eve and very disappointed in the three course offering. This should have been promoted as a tasting. Not only was it overpriced, it simply was not enough food (tiny portion sizes) for the cost. Our server was great and the small bites we had were delicious. My steak was not cooked to order and was returned overcooked. The pork was poorly cooked as well.
Amazing! We had 2 little one with us and they made it very special as well as understanding the needs of kiddos.
Great experience. Food was great and the service was awesome.
The food was really great and our servicer was wonderful
Great meal and excellent service.
Good, but not special.
Great Xmas get together before The Christmas Carol! Great food, great place, great service!!
Great last minute decision when we got in to town. Close to our hotel and really enjoyed the service and food.
The restaurant was very nice but we were seated at a small table in a room with a private party. Our waiter was attentive and offered information about the restaurant and the local area, as we were from out of town.
The meat selection was offered with an ala crate selection. The charred broccolini was delicious but very spicy. The truffled mac and cheese was a great choice for diners who don’t typically eat pasta.
The one thing I have to complain about is our water was not refilled. We had two different times before our waiter finally took care of it.
We stayed for drinks after our meal and the bar scene was quiet with beautiful Christmas music sung by a lovely couple, The Brehms.
Great food and service!
Clint provided excellent service.
Food was poor quality. Medium rare tastes like a well done here.
Very good food and service! Will come back again.
First timers. Asked for recommendations from the waitresses to waiters. Spot on! (Thank you, Chip)
Saturday, 6 PM. Service was ok, not great. Just ok. We were seated immediately but waited almost 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order. The most bothersome part of my experience was the ladies room. It was a mess and clearly had not been serviced. Paper towels and tissue on the floor and the counter was covered with water.
The atmosphere was great and the service was great.
First time there. It is walking distance to the Majestic. Great food, service, and ambience!
The food has been great, but the service is what keeps me coming back. Great place for a wonderful meal.
Excellent service. Great food and wine. Could not ask for a better start to our Birthday celebration evening!
Very expensive alacart dinner. Dry aged rib eye was dry (medium ) the other (medium rare) was fatty. The $12 Beat salad comprised of 4 very tiny baby beats and some nice little beads of goat cheese, tastey in two bites. The bone marrow apitizer was stuck to the bone and maybe two tablespoons for $18. They had run out of the cobbler with ice cream. We had the Salted Carmel ice cream from Plano, TX...best ice cream I've ever eaten. Our waiter was great, friendly and good service.
What a wonderful place. This was a business dinner and we just wanted a good steak and hopefully fish mix. Did we ever get it the best steak I think we have eaten the lobster on top with sauce was above the best. Thank you foe. Great meal.
Service was slow, but they were very busy. Steak was phenomenal and twice baked too. Rated a 3 because of my wait time for drinks, ticket, and final bill
Excellent service and food! Our waiter Tom was very kind
Great service. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had from s restaurant. Would definitely go again.
We enjoyed our food and the service was very good.
Extraordinary. service, food and ambiance would get six stars if that was a choice. Really one of the best meals we’ve had in a while
Sorry, I wasn't blown away by this place. It was good, but was it $120 per head good? I don't think so.
The shrimp cocktail was OK - a very strong sauce, which I like, although obviously prepared much earlier in the day. I'm. Not against that in principle, but it was refrigerated so cold it made my teeth hurt.
The filet quality was just OK too. It was done a bit too well, although that is probably my fault for not knowing what Americans consider medium. They are heavy on the salt, garlic and rosemary, which was good.
I was eating alone, which I realise is harder to wait on. However each course (bread if that counts, starter, main) barely came out before I had time to finish the previous. They didn't even clear the used plates from the course before. What's the rush guys, there was hardly anyone in there?
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as Dallas/Texan steak had been hyped up to be.
Great, will be back in the future
Our hotel, the Magnolia recommended the Chop House for its steaks. The steak was outstanding. We loved the spicy cocktail sauce that came with the shrimp cocktail. The wedge salad was tasty. My husband cannot handle blue cheese, so they had other salad dressings available. But by far my favorite was the lemon creme brûlée with citrus topping, it was yummy. Our service was prompt, helpful, and friendly. Definitely worth it!!!!!!!
