Overpriced flavorless steak . No dressing on my salad had to ask for more!
Outstanding service. Nice selection of wines and a rotating cocktail list. Food was superb, and I don't eat meat or fish. Atmosphere is not really fitting for a date night, more fitting for a business dinner.
Great service from Clint! Food was good. Everything that came to the table from appetizer to dessert was great! No disappointments here. Never had a bad experience here and been coming since this place has been opened.
When in Dallas, I had often eaten at the chophouse for lunch and it was nice. I’ve never had dinner there and the last time I had been there was over a year ago. I have to say I was very disappointed in dinner. I had taken a group of work associates there for a nice dinner and my $50 steak was flavorless. I will not be returning.
My friends and I had tickets for a show at the Majestic, and the servers were very responsive to our time limitations. We all enjoyed our drinks and dinner very much!
We had a fantastic dinner while at Dallas Chop House. The only thing I would change is the sweetness of the butter used for bread and for drawn butter. All steaks were prepared as requested the first time! Logan was also an amazing server!
Outstanding staff that made our evening one to remember. Aged steaks were the best, salads delicious, desserts are sinfully over the top. Great experience.
The service was absolutely perfect. Knowledgeable, fast, friendly. The food was delicious, but my steak was noticeably undercooked. I did not want to bother with sending it back so I just ate what I could. I would have liked to see a wider variety of steak sizes. My smallest options for steaks were the Filet Mignon (cant remember the weight) and then a couple 18 oz steaks. That is massive! My husband was happy with his massive steak (porterhouse) but if I were to return I would choose something other than steak.
Amazing large steak! The special filet with lobster was amazing too.......
Good steaks and great salads. Had a 8 oz filet that was cooked perfectly and tasty. Wedge salad was huge and almost overfilled me. There’s enough for two people. Great decadent pop-ups as your complimentary bread with an herbed butter. We had a birthday and they brought out a free desert. Great patio and happy hour menu. Be sure to grab some of the happy hour popcorn, seasoned with truffle oil and Tabasco.
Service was excellent. It was a bit noisy for my taste. You really should get rid of the TVs in the bar.
Wine list was short and very pricy - -not much on it for any value - Silver Oak was $206 while only $176 at a like competitor. Sides were quite small and really adequate for only 1 and 2 at most. Steak was very good and cooked perfectly but not as good as Morton's Uptown or Perry's. Probably won't be back as there was nothing special on the menu to entice one. Will stay with the better steak houses.
Best Rib Eye that I have had in Dallas during my 6 month stay. Martini was very good, appetizer s very good and the rb eye was superb. Will go again and recommend.
We wanted a steakhouse for a special pre-theater meal. This was perfect and gave us the ambiance and food we were looking for. Our fabulous server was knowledgeable and gracious in her guidance. We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again sometime.
Incredible 30 day dry aged steak!
Our Waitress was AWESOME!!!! the food was excellent - everything was spot on!
The atmosphere was great and the food was too. Very relaxing experience
I was exploring downtown Dallas with a friend from out of town and we had the most fabulous time. Walt was an outstanding server and he had fantastic recommendations. Will definitely be going back!
We took a client for an enjoyable and productive business dinner. The meal was delicious, and the noise level was moderate and at the right level.
Best steak I’ve ever had, very nice place, nice people
Had dinner here before a show at the Paramount Theatre. The flash-fried pork chop is the best I've ever eaten. It was served with amazing brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze and bacon bits. (Even if you don't normally eat brussel sprouts, you will love these, the glaze makes them addictive). My husband had steak and it was moist and delicious, exactly the medium rare he had ordered. Don't miss dessert. My husband, who doesn't eat a lot of desserts, absolutely loved the lemon crème brulee, the hazelnut chocolate torte is also delicious. Service was wonderful. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and offered several excellent suggestions for wine pairings. Managed to get us served and out in time for the theatre, on a Friday evening, with a full restaurant. Excellent food, service and ambience. Have already been back twice since this visit and recommended to many friends. What a gem!
Went for dinner on our wedding night Great food great service, but so loud i could not here my new wife talk. The noise was unimaginable.
$44.00 prime rib steak came to table burnedon outside and raw on inside. It was taken back and the same steak returned a little more to original order. Wife's food got cold while she waited for my food to return. Very disappointed in service.
We really enjoyed our meal. Only down side was the smoking people sitting next to us in the outside bar area. We also felt that the waiter was rushing us. We were not ready to order dinner yet as we were enjoying our appetizers and wine; he came of multiple times and asked what we wanted for dinner. However I would visit this restaurant again when in the Dallas area. The food was delicious.
The filet was the best part, a solid 8.5 out of 10. We ordered medium rare, and they arrived rare, so 8.5 is as high as I will go. The lobster tail was sub par, borderline terrible. The twice baked potato was dry and flavorless. Disappointing to say the least. First and last visit.
This is right around the corner from Majestic Theatre. A great pre theatre dining experience. They even have a Majestic Theatre price fix menu with wonderful selections and a great value.
I had been wanting to try this place forever. It was such a disappointment. The waiter seemed very condescending when he spoke. My steak was ordered Medium and came out well done. (The got my girlfriends steak correct) there was a table of six men who were loud and obnoxious. I guess the let them stay because it was One of three tables that people. The place was dead at 9:45 PM on a Friday. Bottom line: for the cost of my ticket (my filet was not charged and I refused to eat or take the replacement home) I’ll continue to visit Ocean Prime or Silver Fox.
Had an amazing anniversary dinner and our waiter Chip was fantastic. The charcuterie was a wonderful assortment and an ample portion, Caesar salad topped with fresh sardines was great, and The porterhouse steak was perfecto. One of the more original and delicious sides was the crawfish maque choux was a wonderful blend of corn, poblano, red bells, garlic, crawfish and a Cajun cream sauce. Food, ambiance and service are all hard to beat and we’ve eaten at almost every steakhouse in town.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The steaks were exceptional and our waiter Ryan gave us outstanding service. We will diffently by repeat customers when we visit Dallas again.
Planning our Theater evening, we were looking for a dining option within an easy walk of the Majestic. On their website they recommended Dallas Chop House, so we took advantage of a special deal between the two: a special $100 three-course "Majestic menu". It includes a bottle of a house white or house red, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, choice of a beef, chicken or fish entree, and a dessert to be shared. I go to the trouble to spell this out because it was BECAUSE OF THIS DEAL that we went there in the first place. And it IS a good deal and a very nice meal. What kept me from a 5 Star rating on service was the distinct change in tone from our waiter when he discovered we were talking advantage of their fixed price menu. It's not as if he became rude; he just different seemed to be interested in anything else but us. Not a huge deal, and he was nice enough, but still: honor the deal with enthusiasm and a smile.
We'll be back, but hoping for a more cheerful attitude.
I ordered the ribeye, medium, bone-out, and a side of sautéed spinach. The ribeye was cooked to the right temperature, but it was charred on the outside, so the medium part was truly only the center of a fairly thick piece. It was a tougher eat than I'd expected, chewy and not flavorful.
The restaurant does not leave any condiments on its tables, so no salt, pepper or steak sauce. I understand that as a practice, but your cuts of meats have to support it. This was a really disappointing ribeye, especially for $52.
The side, sautéed spinach, was smothered in some sort of cream. I ate a couple of bites and left the rest. Maybe it's a local preference - I was in town on business - but I would not order either item again here.
Redeeming feature: the waiter was perfectly attentive, concerned when I expressed my surprise about the spinach, and helpful throughout.
Great steaks and the service was awesome
Steaks had no flavor and were tough. Had ribeye and filets. Both were flavorless.
Great restaurant for Anniversary celebration. Great food and service, the food was perfect.
We chose their Theater meal deal, $100 for two with a bottle of wine. Great value. Food was excellent . Service was a little slow and the main dining room is a little loud, but overall we all had a great meal and a great time.
Came for dinner date before attending the Ron White Show on Sat. night at The Majestic.
Had the show special dinner, which was terrific. Lovely wine and service. Salmon and Steak were awesome plus Crème Brulee for dessert. Great waiter as well.
FOH manager was rude to people around me
Our waiter was rude. Our food was less than average.
Had a wonderful dinner before going to a show at the Majestic theater. We told the waiter we had all kinds of time to kill before the show, but understood that on a Saturday night we might have to leave the table after 2 hours. He gladly slowed our courses and even gave us a free dessert!
The staff was friendly, but overwhelmed. Service was mediocre and steak was terrible!
