Good food and service but the restaurant was quite quiet but it was a Sunday. Would eat there again though.
1st visit and enjoyed very much, was not very busy but preferred that as me and partner were celebrating her birthday so cosy suited us..good atmosphere music in background and good food
The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, the food was nice and tasty although my food could have been hotter, however it still was nice, the only other thing was the restaurant was nippy, and could have been warmer in the restaurant. Although reasonably priced.
The place was pretty quiet, but good for conversation and the sharing food good to help the ambience. The staff were very polite and attentive. The meal we chose was a sharing menu with 7 small plates and a smallish main served with rice and some delightful baklava which were unlike the Greek version not steeped in honey. Personally we would have preferred a small salad with the main, but that is our preference. This option was £25 head so reasonable for London. All in all a good find but perhaps not to our particular taste.
Good, fresh food. Lovely Mezze selection; ab delicious chicken livers; set menu good value. The only couple of disappointments were lack of fellow diners to add to the ambience and not especially good shawarma. Everything else great!
Food was really good, and good value. Shame there wasnt many people as it would have added to the ambiance. Service was good although they did not know what wines they had in stock or not.
The food was really nice, the service was great and the restaurant itself looked simple and elegant. Overall a good experience.
The food is always great at Dalila. Very fresh, perfectly cooked and thoroughly delicious. To start with the service was spot on, but half way through our meal there was a change of waiter. The second waiter was gruff, constantly trying to take away plates of mezze before they were finished, poured the wine out of the bottle like he was pouring squash and just generally rushed us through the rest of our meal. I would definitely recommend Dalila because the food is awesome, but wouldn't want this waiter serving us again.
Fantastic local Lebanese restaurant with a great atmosphere. The Lebanese wine was surprisingly good and not one I had tried. Food was very tasty with all the meze dishes you would want.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Dalila. The tabbouleh was some of the freshest and best that I have had, including in fine restaurants in the Middle East. The grills were juicy and well seasoned. The only dish that wasn't up to the standard of the rest was the stuffed vine leaves, which were rather dry and lifeless. Apart from this the food was simple but very well executed. There is a good selection of Lebanese wines, including some by the glass. Given some of the boring, overcooked Lebanese food available in London, sometimes at far higher prices, this place is worth a visit.
Pleasant enough inside, if a little lacking on intimacy. Interesting menu alas high prices for what we had. There are better Lebanese places.
Terrible service. Staff got confused over 2 people ordering the same dish then accused one of us of "stealing" the other's food. Took over 1 hour for the second dish to arrive. Mixed vegetables ordered as a side dish for 2 contained 1 onion, half a pepper, 1 slice of aubergine. When we complained, they removed the onion and replaced it by 1 potato! We were a party of eight. Overpriced for what it is. Not sure how they managed to get the reviews they have! Oh, the chicken was OK.
Tasty local Lebanese with an extensive menu and good quality food to match. It has a nice low key/romantic ambiance with good service although I am sure it could also vary in vibrancy with larger parties. Would definitely return and recommend.
A poor attempt in producing Lebanese authentic food.
The service wasn't the best and there seemed to be a lot of tension between our waitress and the manager? It created a weird tension. The food was good but the starters were a little over priced for what they where. However the mains were lovely and well priced- and also the wine was good quality and value.
It was so good, we are going back today to try more options!!
had was dry - dry lobster, dry felafel etc. They didn't say the main course came with veg so we ordered veg each and ended up with mountains of it!
I only really became aware of Dalila's existence after reading a Guardian review, so thought I'd try it. The food was fairly standard Lebanese fare, and whilst it was all nicely executed, there were no standout dishes that the Guardian review had led me to expect. That said it was a pleasant meal and fairly reasonable too. The decor was surprisingly comfortable for a local restaurant. Well worth a try.
Made a last minute booking after a friend suggested we try the restaurant. We were not disappointed - the food was fantastic and the service friendly and prompt throughout.
We had the tasting menu which was a nice way to try all the different starters.
We will definitely be back again.
We were rather disappointed with the whole visit. The service was very poor; different dishes piled on the table at the same time and one waiter was hovering over us to take away plates even before we had finished with them. The music, Arabic which we did not understand, was too loud..
Delicious food, portions are large so dont over order especilally the mixed grill. 8 starters plus 1 mixed grill will feed four
The food was really delicious, would have liked to have more on the plate. Overall, experience was really good.
The waiters were amazing. They were so friendly and helpful when choosing our meals. Would definially recommend
for romantic meals.
We have eaten 2-3 times at Dalila. Each time we found the food to consist of simple, traditional Lebanese dishes, well prepared using very fresh ingredients, resulting in a very enjoyable meal. Ambiance was nice albeit a little on the quiet side.
We had heard this Lebanese restaurant was good and we were not disappointed. Very attentive service and a lovely range of Lebanese food and nice wine too.
Lovely restaurant with authentic Lebanese food. Delicious. Tony the owner goes the extra mile to ensure your experience exceeds your expectations.
Not sure why this place has such great reviews. Service is excellent however the food was on the bland side. I would recommend Dalila for big groups however as it is great sharing food.
Delicious food at reasonable price .
Outstanding service , really friendly people.
We will repeat for sure
My wife and I shared the larger tasting menu (9 mezze plus 1 main to share) over dinner at Dalila on a Saturday evening. The quality was astoundingly high! We've had hummos, tabbouleh, etc. before, but THIS hummos and THIS tabbouleh were something else -- well-balanced and delicious flavour, fresh, and easy to digest -- the best I've had. These are simple dishes, but having them this well-prepared makes them really something special. The rich Lebanese wine also suits the food well, and the service fully matched the quality of the food. The restaurant was only about half-full on a Saturday evening, hence the 4-stars for ambience. I was frankly surprised that such a delightful restaurant does not have a multi-week wait to get a table!
Good food, excellent service, but a little pricey, even for London.
This restaurant is a real gem. The service is impeccable, the food was delicious. It is such a shame that on a Tuesday evening it was completely empty. I hope the locals patronise it more at the weekend. It is a bit on the expensive side but with the TT offer this was the icing on the lebanese cake.
Worth the trouble getting there. Very good service although they weren't busy for a Friday night. Starters were good but a bit let down by my main.
Bought a groupon deal as I like to try new tastes. I was NOT disappointed in the restaurant, food & service. Would most definately recommend having a meal here.
We were a table of five, good service, good choice on the menu, lovely food.
My gf and I both enjoyed our meals. Lamb was very tasty and reasonably priced and the service was very good. We even got a free side and mini pastries for dessert. it was very quiet which probably worked in our favour. We will go back for sure.
This is the second time my wife and I have come to Delila and the food and service is always excellent. We'll be coming again.
Very enjoyable meal, great variety and flavour. Would definitely go back. Very helpful service and friendly staff
We have been to this address to eat numerous times over the past few years. Dalila is the latest restaurant to take over this space. Food was good and waiting staff were eager to please, although some weren't completely sure of the finer points of the dishes they were serving. Would come again.
We had a fantastic meal at Dalila's - great flavours, perfectly cooked, with friendly and efficient service.
The restaurant itelf is nice, but it was very quiet the evening we went (mid week) so a little lacking in ambience... we will go back on a weekend next time to see how it compares though as other than that we couldn't fault the experience.
Highly recommended, particularly if you live locally.
I ate here with a girlfriend. We ordered a mix of Mezze, hot and cold, vegetarian and meaty. They were all delicious and washed down with a robust Lebanese red. I loved the little minced lamb in chickpea batter - delightful and the hummus was sublime.
There are many lebanese restaurants in London, but few with the quality of food available at Dalila. The food was fresh and interesting, the staff attentive and although not massively busy, the ambience was good.
We went with my in-laws both of whom are veggie and there was a huge choice, particularly from the Mezze. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and will definitely be returning.
