Dal Toro in Las Vegas, Nevada is located on the lower level of the Palazzo Hotel and specializes in serving traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant features an exotic, vibrant atmosphere and features multiple levels, including an exotic car gallery.
Dal Toro is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast at the restaurant features such fare as michette panini with smoked salmon, cheese and ham omelet, steak and eggs, French toast, eggs Benedict, pancakes, assorted muffins and fruit. Lunch and dinner fare at Dal Toro includes cheeseburgers, margherita pizza, minestrone soup, ravioli d'aragosta, pollo alla valdostana and tortigliono rustici.
Food was very good and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Sit outside, the view is great.
Dal toro is a great place to have a nice romantic meal. The ambiance is great (especially in the patio) and the food was delicious. The service was prompt and the servers were engaging. The only complaint I have is the "surprise" service fee that is tacked on to the bill. It would be nice to see it upfront or have it stated in the menu somewhere. We weren't even sure if it included our server's gratuity since it was just us two. Dal toro has a great Italian food selection however it is pretty expensive- so come prepared.
I recommend Dal Toro for dates, special occasions or business lunch. Great outdoor space. But most of all, the food is excellent.
We ate here with a group of 9 people. Calling to make a reservation was impossible, as they never answered the phone that day/evening nor did they ever call me back after I had left a VM.
The restaurant was empty, which was surprising but nice. We were able to secure outdoor seating.
The beer selection was abysmal, with the only non-Inbev drink being Duvel, and ridiculously overpriced at $25! The cocktail selection was terrible as well, and $15 per drink.
The meals were standard Italian fare, and came out tasting pretty decent, however they were very overpriced at $30-$40 for pasta and $60 for something with meat in it.
The server was inept. People had to constantly keep asking him for items they had already ordered. It wasn't busy, so I think he just didn't feel like trying. This is probably due to the fact that they charge 20% gratuity regardless of party size.
Overall, I recommend skipping this place, as there are much better restaurants in the Venetian/Palazzo.
Waiter was not very attentive. Food was overpriced for the quality. In one of our pasta dishes, while the menu said it would contain proscuitto, it was actually prepared with inexpensive ordinary ham. Will not go back there.
This was our 4th visit to Dal Toro and unfortunately the restaurant has declined in ambiance!
It doesn't appear the management is keeping up with maintenance and decor. Place felt old when we walked in!
We were disapointed that we couldn't be seated on the outside patio because of a previously booked party, and we were never told that it was unavailable that evening. We would have change our reservations!
I don't think we will plan another visit until we visibly see some improvement.
The menus looked like we were in a pizza joint grabbing a quick bite to it but the prices of a four star restaurant. Same for plates, glasses and silverware. Very simple. Food was alright. Our waitress was good
The buffalo mozzarella appetizer is a must. It was remarkably creamy rich and flavorful. The fruit demare was perfectly cooked. It seemed each seafood ingredient was cooked perfectly to perfection and then thrown in the mix.
The lobster ravioli was wonderful .
Amazing food! Amazing service!!
Food awesome. Service excellent. My business dinner went as planned and honestly there wasn't any real issue. The appitizer the waiter suggest was great but pricy. Sea bass on the menu amazing
The Resturant reeked of Fabuloso! Should not be cleaning while lunch crowd is arriving, I had to ask to be seated in the patio because the strong smell. The view was nice of the strip, not the best for business lunches, good for a casual lunch.
Definitely not what I would have expected. The food was ok. Best thing was the antipasto appetizer. Otherwise this was a business meal. Service was a bit slow. No one was in the place. Actually had a glass in my hand break and they thought nothing of it. Definitely not the best. Would have opted for a chain over this.
My wife and I had brunch at Dal Toro on the last day of our trip. We chose the restaurant for its great view of the strip. The service was fair, but our food was disappointing. The Eggs Benedict sauce tasted like salad dressing, and my wife's omelette was greasy. Both dishes were served with wet potatoes that we avoided.
Also, watch out for Dal Toro's mandatory 20% "HSE" fee. There is a fine print warning (which we missed) about the fee at the bottom of their menu. Our server explained that this is added to provide compensation to the bartenders, bussers, and other staffers who do not receive a salary. Moreover, it does not include the normal tip, which is still expected!
Regardless of the HSE fee, our experience was not worth the inflated prices. Check out nearby restaurants like Morels or Lavo instead. The view is better, and the dining experience is far superior.
Not aware that lunch wasn't served until after 12. Also, unbussed tables attracted birds.
The food service and location were great. My problem came when the bill showed up and there was a 20% gratuity automatically placed on top of the dinner. There was just two of us and I do not like being told that I am in charge of paying the staff. I always tip but what I think it is worth. If the owners cannot pay a decent wage they should raise there prices not stick you with an inflated bill. I will not be back because of that policy.
Although there is a limited menu, what we tasted was quite good. I did feel a bit under-dressed, so I would recommend dressing for the meal.
Disinterested wait staff. Slow service. Bad food. Terribly overpriced. 20% gratuity automatically added. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
The first time I visited Dal Toro the food was great. This weekend I had my 4th visit. The food has gotten progressively worse. I will say the service was a little better this visit. My friend described the restaurant as "Eh, Italian food". They also add on an HSE charge. Some say tip is included in that. Some say it isn't. The charge is however 20% of your bill.
I would say skip this restaurant and go somewhere else.
it was not very crowded and we still received really poor service.
Coffee was warm and never was asked for refills until we became upset.
The food was ehhhhh
Good food, nice wine list, nice portions. Reasonable price for a nice dinner in the Pallazo
My first visit to Dal Toro was exceptional with great ambiance and attractive servings. But most of all, the food was delicious.
Great ambiance! Excellent wait staff, and the dinner was perfect. The entire staff was very attentive. An awesome overall experience.
We only saw our server maybe three times, the food was slow and greasy and everyone around us seemed to feel the same!
Worst dining experience we have had in the last 10 years. Service was horrific, and they automatically add 10% tip to the bill without notice. Will not be back.
Although the outdoor patio was open, the night was cool and there were no heaters. Once we were seated, we were egg Norred, we had to ask for another table a bit smaller to hear each other. Once we were served again we sat there a long time waiting for further service.
Great food, cute setting, reasonably priced foods. However when we received the bill, there was a change near the bottom that's "charged to pay the waiters." It tacked on another $20 to our bill. We weren't pleased with this charge and will reconsider going next time simply for that reason.
Came in from Michigan to celebrate my husbands birthday. Was promised after dinner someone would bring desert/ said my reservation was noted and would make sure it would be "special"--/-never done. No cake: no nothing. Also very upset with final bill---- got charged a HSE charge ... When I asked I was told this was a fee to their restaurant and it including tip. Made a happy night a very upsetting one
I've been here before, and i always enjoy the food. Very nice portions and great wine. Next time I am in Vegas, I will definitely come again.
Food was good. Caesar salads were tasty. The calamari was excellent. My wife had the linguine with seafood and I had the seafood Fra Diablo. Both had good taste. The chocolate mousse dessert was very good.
I work in the service industry and was rather annoyed at having a mandated service charge added. The HSE is a disgrace. No notice anywhere that we saw that said there was a mandated charge. Maybe it was on the menu but the writing was too small to really read.
