The staff were so kind. Even though we were late for our reservation, they seated us. My steak was tender and delicious. It's somewhat pricey, but it's a nice place to treat yourself once in a while.
Service was great, food was pretty good, except the tuna was cold by the time it got to the table. Calarmari was great.
The salads were average. The entrees were outstanding. I had the ahi tuna and my wife had the chilean sea bass. Our biggest complaint is that we were seated at a table just outside the party rooms and the noise was very distracting. Out waiter did close the door on the room a couple of times but they kept being propped open by the wait staff, etc. We'll return but we do not want to be seated outside the party rooms.
The Spinach Salad had a bitter taste and had a coarse texture. I noticed the waiters were picking up a lot of bowls with Spinach Salad still left in the bowls. I understand you get what your supplier provides and you must make that work. It is an unknown factor and can vary one cutting to the next. And it is out of season, you cannot control it.
The rest of the meal was awesome. The 7 oz. Filet was cooked to perfection. The plating was all about the food, it made your mouth water just looking at it. Even the Iced Tea, Glazed Carrots, Baked Potato, and the fresh Sourdough Bread were way above average.
I would recommend Dakota's to anyone who wants a great dining experience. As far as price goes, you get what you pay for. And it was very, Very GOOD!
I expected the lettuce wedge to have blue cheese dressing and didn't care for the vinegar dressing. Way too vinegary. Steak and fish were both great!
We had a lovely cozy table. Our waiter was Jeffrey. He was so attentive but not hovering. We felt no pressure, it was wonderful to relax with our cocktails. My husband and I shared the awesome avocado halves stuffed with crab and shrimp. I had the special, filet with crab Mac and cheese. It was melt in your mouth. My husband had the stuffed flounder, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. For dessert we shared the white chocolate bread pudding. It was extremely sweet. We did valet, it is treat. We certainly will dine there again.
Our dining experience was good. The service and food are good and very consistent visit to visit. The bar is a lot of fun with a good crowd. I highly recommend any of the seafood appetizers and the steaks.
Loved! loved our waitress and the food was cooked to order. Hot was hot and cold was cold. The escargot was the best I have had in years...puff pastry right on target. Our waitress made our dining experience exceed our expectations. Will be going again real soon. Have been to this restaurant several times before but this experience will make our list of which restaurant tonight? Excellent give it a try or another try!!!!
My husband and I ate at Dakota's for our anniversary. They honored our request for a more intimate setting and our table was in its own little nook, so it was very calm and romantic.
I have a dairy allergy and the hostess notifies the server ahead of time and he was highly attentive and informative on which foods I could eat.
For an anniversary, they offer a complimentary dessert or champagne toast. We got the champagne, and while it tasted very bad, it was free.
Overall, I highly recommend Dakota's.
Great service, Great atmosphere, Incredible food. Relax in the bar area, then have a nice dinner afterwards in a romantic setting. Highly recommend.....perfection!
