The Daily Grill in Santa Monica is a great place to gather for lunch or dinner. The appetizers are always cooked fresh and include the famous cutting board. This is a special chefs selection of meats that have been cured, along with a sampling of artisan cheese. Also popular at Daily Grill is the seared rare ahi tuna.

The main course consists of a range of items with chicken, seafood or beef as the primary staple. The parmesan herb crusted chicken is always popular, as is the New York strip steak grilled to order. Daily Grill also has a full bar, making it a great place to gather for those after work cocktails.

We had fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. The pie was hot and it was pretty good. However, The fish and chips seemed distinctly old, like it had been warmed over from lunch. It was cold and so I returned it and it was clear the fries were returned to the fryer and sent back out, so they were hot and soggy. The dish comes with a side of peanut Cole slaw, which was horrible. It seem as though it was yesterday’s salad that they had put in refrigerator overnight (with the dressing on it).
The service was very nice but was slow.
Too bad, Daily Grill used to be really good. Won’t go back.

We were seated immediately upon arriving.
Our server arrived quickly and took our beverage orders.
Bread and beverages arrived quickly.

We ordered our entrees and they arrived within
ample time. Our food was served fresh and hot.

We enjoyed our food and the ambiance was
comfortable and relaxing.

portions shrunk prices up and parking after 3 hrs week nights pricey..Over last yr this location : cut portions, eliminated off menu long time favorites, raised prices, cut back by eliminating hostesses and busboys and some nights servers. Corporation should at the very least considering prices comp parking for however long dining during week nights. Wed spend more of we could park free longer

I usually order the delicious skirt steak and shoestring fries and did so this time as well. The steak was great cooked just how I ordered it but the fries were look warm and not crispy. I ate it anyway but mentiioned it to our server who suggested he get me a new order of fries; he did but when they came, they were the same. Don't know what happened but can tell they were not made fresh out of the fryer. Great cocktails!

We've been to other Daily Grill locations and were happy to eat at the one in Santa Monica, but unfortunately we came on a night where their staffing was not enough to meet the demand. Our waitress did her best but everything from ordering, drinks, dishes, refills, and bill each came out about 10 minutes too late. Food was good, and some excellent. The blue cheese filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately due to the delays the side dishes and Mahi Mahi were cold. This dinner was in celebration of my daughter's dance recital performance, so it was a disappointing experience.

Service by hostess was so so ... not very friendly... they always ask for reservations... it wasn't even busy but they made us sit at bar... they said all the tables were all ready reserved so I opened up this handy app... booked reservation and 10 minutes later we were seated... by the time we finished our meal all the so called reserved seats were still empty.... things that make you go mmmmmm
