Daily Grill - Palm Desert Ratings and Reviews
A regular for us locals and the food is always excellent as well as the service.
Favorite dishes include the meatloaf, cold poached Or grilled salmon, excellent trout, and the best, freshest Sand Dabs I have ever eaten. Don't forget their freshly backed hot crusty bread!
Great variety of side dishes. Don't miss their peanut coleslaw!
I always enjoy the food and service at Daily Grill. I love the fact that I can reserve a table on line and it followed up with an email reminder.
The Daily Grill has a great menu, there seems to a good choice of items.
I have always been pleased with the service and the delicious food.
I highly recommend dining at Daily Grill.
We have introduced several friends to the Daily Grill and every one of them has commented that this restaurant is a real find for all of us. The menu has many options and the several choices of sides makes dinner selections interesting and fun. We have had exceptional service from Tracy who always gives us gives us good advice on what is good.
I have tried to get someone to help with your awards program (more then once) & the staff is unwilling to help me sign up. Did what was requested & it didn't work. If you have a program it would seem like the staff would be skilled to help..NOT. I never got my free appetizer. One waitress helped out but she couldn't answer our question because she said she worked the lunch only...really?
We had a wonderful dining experience on our way to the theatre . Huge pot pie for my husband. He couldn't even begin to finish it but loved it. I had Morrican Chicken. Very good. But the best part of the evening was the service. So sorry I forgot his name.....so friendly and helpful.
The Daily Grill has redeemed themselves. The previous meal we had was not up to their usual great standards but this recent visit was wonderful. We had the Sand Dabs and Cobb salad. Great service, great server and great meal! We sat outside on the patio which is fun for people and car watching.
We went for Sunday brunch. We requested outdoor seating but did not get it which was disappointing. The Monkey bread was the best part. The rest of the food was nothing great. I had the french toast which was harder that it should have been. My husbands salmon was just so-so. My son did enjoy the chicken and waffles though. The worst part was the service though. Very slow and all of our food did not come at the same time. I have been to the Daily Grill before and it has been better than this.
We had reservations and there were empty tables when we arrived but there was a wait to be seated. We were seated at a table with menus then nothing for 17 minutes. I had to ask two people to find our waiter. He did arrive just before we got up to leave and apologized for the wait but this was the tone for the evening. The food was good but service was so bad we left without dessert just to end a bad experience.
I am a member of the insider program but the bill did not reflect a $25 Birthday credit and we had to call waiter back again.
Overall a poor experience. We may go back but are in no rush.
Thoroughly enjoyed coming to this restaurant! Such unassuming elegance with its beautiful wood throughout. Busy for a weeknight because its food was both delicious and affordable. Service was satisfactory because Darren our server was very attentive. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food but wasn't happy about waiting 20 minutes for a table when I had a reservation. The hostess wasn't friendly and actually quite rude when I went up after 15minutes of waiting for our table to ask when we would be seated. The food was really good. I had the weekend prime rib and it was perfect. The restaurant clearly overbooks and takes more walk ins than they should so if you are in a hurry I wouldn't dine here on a weekend night.
The restaurant was very busy. It took much longer than normal to receive our drinks. In my opinion, too long.
I had a $25.00 gift certificate, but the computer was down and I couldn’t use it, which was annoying because that’s one of the reasons why we went there, to use up the certificate.
We are regular customers of Daily Grill for many years. This past visit was on a Friday at noon. We had a reservation and the restaurant was nearly full at noon. It soon was completely full with many patrons waiting. The service was not great because they were simply too busy. The food was awful - this is very unusual for Daily Grill - but I blame it on the fact they were far too busy! Our friends ordered Butternut squash soup (cold), and white bean chicken chile (not cooked and very cold. It looked terrible.) We ordered the Cobb salad (excellent as always) and I ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. There was broken glass in my cole slaw the the fish was overcooked. The fries were excellent. We did not complain because they were just too busy. Even though I crunched on glass I was not injured. Normally the meal and experience is wonderful. We will return again but not on a Friday for lunch during high season.
Dean and I discovered The Daily Grill and like the neighborhood ambiance and people watching. The bar has a happy hour. We like the menu which offers great "sides" with entrees. We have come for dinner with our out of town friends and know they will like the dinner options. It is very warm and inviting.
