Waiter was real busy so forgot our bread and plates but we flagged someone else and were accommodated.
Our waitress Kayla was outstanding. She was so friendly and really added to the pleasure of dining. Our meals were excellent and Kayla was there when needed. She is definitely an asset to the Irvine location. They are lucky to have her!
Food always consistent however service was par as had asked for bread basket 4 times plus extra salad dressing as well as cream for coffee couple times. Restaurant was busy but not significantly to keep asking for items that should’ve been provided as I frequent this restaurant about 3 to 4 times a month
The noise level is prohibitive to any business lunches.
Always reliable and tasty. Disappointed they took their delicious Strawberry Shortcake off the menu and jacked up the price of their sand dabs to above $20. Just last year it was $14.95 for exactly the same dish.
Nice place to meet a friend to catch up.
Food was good overall but I was disappointed with the macaroni and cheese I got. The pasta was very dry and the sauce was bland.
Robert was a wonderful waiter! He got bogged down but made us feel special. Celebrated a birthday with a free dessert.
Go spot for a business lunch. Portions just the right size. On this visit I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala special.
There were ants all over the table we were very upset could not finish our meal
The employees were very nice but there were literally 4 tables used in the whole place and they still forgot some of the order and the bacon was black. My first time there and probably my last. :(
Service was disappointing. We both ordered Cobb salads, which are part of the express lunch section, and while I did not time them, the wait was extraordinarily long for two salads, no starters. Server did not check on us until we finished eating.
This was my second visit to the Daily Grill in Irvine and both times were for lunch. I had their chopped salad last time and this visit I had the half turkey avocado sandwich and salad. The food is very good and the service is attentive. The restaurant gets quite busy at lunch on a daily basis. I would love to have dinner next time out. On select Friday nights that have a prime rib dinner that looks worthwhile.
Service could be better. Waiter is always in a rush. Maybe they are short-staffed.
There were few clients but no one came to help us until I stood up and went searching, then a server who wasn't supposed to be ours, came to help. We kept him as we didn't want to one we were supposed to have.
I've been here often. They never seem to have enough waiter/waitress staff. The wait staff always seems to be stretched. The food is ok. Considering the area - I think the food could be a little better
The server we had was not attentive at all. He never refilled our drinks nor did he check to see how our food was. The manager walked by our table 5 times and never made a comment on our meal. We sat there for 23 minutes after finishing our dinner for the server to come by. He never asked if we wanted dessert, nor did he clear our plates off. Very disappointing.
A comfortable and quiet restaurant to enjoy simple but good food. There were more options on the menu in years past but there are still good choices.
We just had a truly delightful dinner at the Daily Grill Irvine. It was a Sunday evening and despite the fact that there was a very large party in the private room, the service was leisurely and perfect for conversation! Our server Jonathan has taken care of us in the past and was every bit as helpful, sincere and attentive as always. He made the evening extra special for us. Each of our meals were perfect and well prepared. I am a trout amandine fan and this was delightfully crispy, moist and delish!
Terrible Terrible Service..I will never return. My server did not make me feel welcomed or valued as a customer.
The restaurant is very nice. The food was very good. The day we were there, they got a few extra bookings and a couple servers called in sick so the service was very slow. Our server was a good guy and worked very hard. (We gave him a good tip.) We weren't in a particular hurry either but the meal was a little more 'leisurely' than we're used to. We'd go back.
The Rueben use to be the best...this time too much mustard. Cole slaw more spicy than I have ever had before. Appetizer artichoke was not cooked enough and sauce too spicy. The Cobb was great!
Super slow service. Waited forever for food. Grilled artichoke was burnt artichoke with heart missing. Do not recommend.
Our service was great! Although the restaurant was busy our server would double-back and check on us.
The Food was good, but unfortunately this visit, the service was way off, very slow, it seems like there were only 2 waiters?
Plus, no knowledge of wine. No Russian River Pinot Noir
Food was great. service of this place was amazing especially if you bring your kid
I use to lunch at Daily Grill often and decided to come back to see if service had improved. I was disappointed with my $20 steak salad. The steak was cold and the platting of the salad looked rushed and unappealing. After waiting 40 min for my meal to arrive, I decided not to make comment to the server as I did not have the time to wait for a redo. It’s unfortunate I’ve decided it will be some time before I reconsider a return
Went here to meet a friend for lunch. A great menu of classic, well-prepared, and mostly healthy food. Overall, a good experience, except that the service was not as quick and attentive as I had recalled from having been here several years ago. Had to interrupt our conversation to ask for water, twice. Whether intentional or not, felt like the waitstaff forgot about us and then were hurrying us to finish and leave.
Great service and food. The restaurant has many four person booths so you can talk in relative privacy. Convenient location to the OC Airport business area with quick freeway access.
the waiter was not good at all, we had to ask for things, (water, more butter for the baked potatoes) several times. We asked about the dessert and he assured us we could finish them. I eat about 1/3 of the apple cobbler, it was huge, it should have been shared, he just wanted to sell us more.
Went to movies nearby and after found Daily Grill on Open Table so reserved.
The service was superb! The host was so friendly and nice. Our server was excellent.
Food was very fresh and everything was delicious. Had salad with strawberries and pecans that was great starter. Then had vegetable place which is best I have had anywhere. It included a nice brown rice. My husband ordered the halibut which was excellent. Best of all the restaurant is quiet so you can hear each other talking. The ambiance was just perfect!
Highly recommend for a wonderful meal. Also, have great lunches.
Our waiter Jonathan is still a little green. Service quite poor, but he was trying. Food as always consistently good.
One of my guests ordered a kale Caesar salad and there was literally only 3 tiny pieces of Kale. Our waitress said she was sorry but that’s the way it comes...and others had disappointed. A manager was ambivalent.
Daily soups and specials are always interesting and delicious. Doesn't sound creative or exotic, but the meatloaf is outstanding!
Great food and great service. Reasonable prices for the food quality and setting.
Food is always excellent but any time we have sat in their outdoor dining area, it is a disaster. The table service is really poor and there is a lack of organization in the patio area. In the future, I would only sit indoors where the service is excellent.
The service was terrible. She was not friendly and took forever just to get greeted. Our order was completely screwed up. I ordered soup and 1/2 sandwich with no tomato or onion. I got the wrong soup and tomato and onion that I picked off my sandwich. My guest never got a refill on soda until we flagged down the server. She never checked on us during the meal. My guest enjoyed the chicken pot pie (she ordered the lunch portion) but was given the full size. Yet another reason the server did not listen. We normally are very happy with food and service. Today was not one of those days.
Had not been back in years and was frankly disappointed. Service was fine but meals were very disappointing. Two of us had fish & chips, the other had meat loaf. They should cut back the quantity and upgrade the quality.
The pork chop is the best ever. Service is awesome.
Penne pesto with chicken was awesome! Enough food for two meals. Will be back!
Great restaurant for a business lunch. Good food, service, easy to make reservations in a short notice. Good options for healthy eating.
