Excellent food prepared just as we requested. Mike was out server and he was outstanding. I asked for poached salmon and the chef did it! It was the best I have ever had. We love this restaurant and use it for all our business meetings! We will be back!
Delicious chicken pot pie!
Good staple restaurant. Food was quite good, delicious bread and nice selection. They were slow in getting our wine order initially, but then very prompt after that. Good all around restaurant.
The only reason I didn't rate the overall experience as a 5 star was at the beginning it was touch and go due to no one knowing who was going to wait on us. Once that was determined, everything went well. The managers stopped by several times to see how things were going. The both also thanked us for coming in when we were leaving and invited us back. Our server, Grace, was very cute and had shy but fun personality.
My dinner companion had the chef's special, lobster pot pie, and it was huge. He said they did not scrimp on the lobster either.
We ended with the chocolate bread pudding...AMAZING. I'm not a fan of regular bread pudding, but this beyond addicting.
Again, had things started out better this would have been a 5 star rating all around. At least they corrected things immediately.
Service was so bad after 15 minutes with our menus being ignored we had to get up and go to the host stand to have someone come to our table. Don't know if that was a function of poor management by not staffing appropriately for a Friday lunch or if the server was bad.
Food and service never disappoint! Sebastian is the best waiter in town!
Disappointed that they didn't have their delicious Strawberry Shortcake, which they have taken off the menu.
Otherwise, this is as reliable as it usually is for good food and a comfortable atmosphere.
Great menu choices and the food is consistently good.
Julie, our waitress, was a shining example of charm, efficiency and professionalism. Though great food preparation and presentation are most important , the ambience and courtesy of the staff complete our excellent dining experience at the Daily Grill. Our party of four agreed that the menu had something delicious for everyone...from vegetarian to carnivore...each of us eager to return.
Food was good, but nothing great and it was pricey for what we got. Two of us had the Braised Beef "Rib" no bone? I expect a rib to be on a bone. It looked and tasted like a piece of good pot roast and was plopped on top of some mashed potatoes, its flavor fine but not worth the price. One of us had the Pork Chop, the meat near the bone looked raw, he could not continue to eat it. Other meals were ok but also a little pricey. Someone had recommended that we go here for something different, probably wont go back. The waitress was very nice so we did not want complain to her.
I've eaten here many times and need to drive 40 miles to do so. Any opportunity that I have to be in the neighborhood near lunch time, I will gravitate to one of two places and this is certain one of the two. Really good food - busier than it used to be so reservations probably a good idea if eating at peak times. Service is always quality. I enjoy it - will eat there many times more, I am certain.
Pia, the new front greeter & receptionist was exceptional as was our waitress!!! We look forward to returning to see them again.
Daily Grill has changed, and not in a good way. Prices up, portion size down, and service that is sub-par.
Good food as always. Salmon entrée and mahi sandwich were great!
Chicken piccata was disappointing but my husbands Mahi Mahi was delicious Water never refilled. Would choose different entree next time.
It was overall a good meal but restaurant could use a little updating in terms of decor and things like bathroom upgrades .
I didn’t like that when I asked to substitute things like a potatoe for rice or fruit for salad I kept being told it’s an upcharge.
Always enjoyable. Good, quality American fare. Specialty coffees for the Christmas season were delightful.
Great pork chops.
The venue is good and the location is convenient. Those are the plusses.
The waiter asked me if I had taken the drink order for my dining guests. Really? Wasn't that your job?
I ordered the Moroccan Spiced Chicken, a dish I've had many times before. The chicken was not the same. It was parts of a chicken fused together to resemble a grilled chicken breast, then sliced. Fatty, rubbery, horrible.
What is the point of eating here if the food tastes fake?
This is the second time we have eaten there when visiting Irvine and the food was very good.
We will probably take a break for awhile. We don't eat meat and the fish and veg options are limited and we would like more variety. Meat-eaters would fare better on an ongoing basis with many more options. It really is a nice, quiet restaurant and the food will not disappoint.
They consistently do not report that I was there when I make open table reservations leading open table to report me as no show.
Excellent dinner. One of the best hamburgers in town.
Open table worked great. Nice table by the window in a fairly quiet location for a business lunch. Food and service was excellent.
Always enjoy dining at Daily Grill! The food and service are consistently good.
Deanna was our server for the second time and she is amazing. Always attentive and pleasant even during a busy lunch hour. She made our guests feel welcome and comfortable.
Had my SeneGence training around the corner and needed dinner with my team of Lip Bosses that were with me. This restaurant was beyond convenient and excellent! Thank you, Daily Grill!
Always reliable. I'm Hooked on the sand dabs and love their strawberry shortcake. Our waitress Mary Ann is also very friendly and helpful.
Ok nothing special
