Under Phase One reopening, only the outdoor patio was available for seating. It was quite nice. Can't comment on the dining room. The spinach dip and ahi tuna salad were very good.
Service is always a problem, but the food is good. If they could get their staffing together (from how you are greeted to actually paying attention to you at the table), it would be a much better experience

I like daily grill. Consistent food and service, not a large menu. I had the Moroccan chicken and calamari appetizer, both were good and lots of food.

The bar was very busy and there were 2 table around us with small children so the noise level was higher than usual.

There was literally no service. We had to get up & go to the bar for ordering & drinks several times
Waiter was efficient but was not personable. I didnt feel like I was the guest. I felt like an inconvenience to him.
It took a while for our server to come to our table and we only saw him once more the whole time we were there. I paid and asked that a copy of the bill be sent to my email and I am still waiting for that. Please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As always, the food, service and ambiance met and exceeded my expectations.
The Daily Grill is mainly known as a popular spot for lunch and happy hours for the corporate crowd, so the dinner hour is fairly quiet which is nice. The food was great !!
I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to take the metro downtown afterwards. On its own, I would not recommend it because it is just so so
Service was excellent. Food was OK--too much dressing on the salad, which made it almost inedible.
It was an average restaurant that was very convenient. Sitting outside was very nice and our waiter was very attentive. The food was average and the prices were a little high for the food but it was also Bethesda. Nothing bad to say. Burger (bean) was good but not very hot. Gazpacho was good. Outside was delightful. Service was pretty quick.
I’ve been coming here for over 5 years, and the service & food has declined drastically. Had a business lunch on Thursday, 5/24.2019 & the food was rushed & cold.
Across the board the service is horrible except for the Bartenders during Happy Hour. Can be understood as the General Manager has a terrible demeanor & attitude. Happy to see his negative leadership attributes does not reflect on the Bartenders.
Absolutely will patronized the other close restaurants for the business meals. Happy Hour is still a go...for now.
Our dinner experience was totally unremarkable. Everything was fine, but nothing was memorable or outstanding.
My family of four went to dinner at Daily Grill following an awards ceremony for my daughter at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. We wanted to have a nice celebratory dinner and were incredibly disappointed. The service was awful! The restaurant was not busy (we had an 8:30 pm reservation on a Friday night), but it took quite a while for our server to even make an appearance at our table. Our waiter was nice enough, but it seemed like it was his first day on the job! We ordered drinks and our meals at the same time because it took a while for our waiter to return. After ~20 minutes of waiting for our drinks to arrive, I flagged down our waiter to ask if we could have our drinks and he definitely looked like he had forgotten. Our drinks did come out shortly after, but our glasses of wine were quite small, especially one of them! Our food did eventually come out — we had ordered two steak salads, one chicken parmigiana, and one large chicken pot pie. I think the other three meals were sitting back in the kitchen waiting for the pot pie to be done, because the grilled steak on top of the salads as well as the chicken parmigiana were cold when they came out. The taste of the food was good, but not worth the prices in my opinion. Our water glasses were not filled either — I did flag the waiter down to get them filled at one point, but they sat empty for quite a while. Our waiter appeared to be spending more time preparing an adjacent dining room for the following day than attending to us! Our waiter brought the bill to our table and returned before my husband had a chance to pull out his credit card. Rather than walking away as waiters should be trained to do, he stood at our table holding the bill until my husband gave him the card. I will not be back to Daily Grill! We chose it because of its location in the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The prices are far too high to get poor service and mediocre food. I expected a much better dining experience.
A few of us went there on Thursday night. The food was great. Our server was great and we all had a good time visiting. There were times it was a bit loud but not overwhelming. I would recommend.
Wait staff was nice, but the food was only fair. The Kale Caesar was mostly romaine lettuce, and the filet was unevenly cooked. It took three requests to get a booster seat (first two requests went unanswered by the host).
I took my father here for brunch thinking it was a popular tasty spot but for one thing, it’s deceiving on its location. We parked near where the mapped said but ended up walking several blocks with my father with health issues. It’s attached to the hotel not a stand alone place. There were only 3 other customers seated which was great since there was little to no noise. But the menu is very basic and have only the simple breakfast food. Service was excellent though. There were only two servers but they greeted with a smile and were very kind from start to finish
I have been to several different Daily Grill locations and have found them to be of good quality and consistency. I keep in on my list of good places to go for lunch. I have not been to a Daily Grill for dinner but may try it at some point.
Need. more Veggie options.
I have been dining here for many years and lately the service has been subpar. I don't know if its the wait staff or the kitchen or both but the time it takes to get your meal is absurd. The food is always good but something needs to be done about the service.
Had a lovely Thanksgiving meal here -- delicious prix fixe turkey dinner with all the fixings and a very reasonable price.
We have been coming for years but will never go back. The service was ridiculously slow and the place was empty. The manager was extremely rude when we had a question about our bill and was totally unaccomodating
Server, Matthew, was attentive and on the mark. Food was good and warm on arrival.
A well located business lunch spot, Daily Grill has work to do to keep my business. The menu was uninspiring, the salmon was dry and the fries cold. So many other better choices in Bethesda.
The directions to this place are very confusing and I’m leaving local to the area.
Our Bartender/Server J always takes GREAT care of us. The Happy Hour Menu is one of the best in Bethesda!
We have been here several times before and liked it. I came here before my son and my wife arrived and was seated promptly and given water. My son ordered a rib eye steak which was very large and he liked it. I had salmon and sauteed spinach which I enjoyed a lot. My son gave me a piece of the steak and it was fabulous. Not sure what my wife had but she also liked her meal. The atmosphere is very pleasant, like a steak house but more reasonably priced. The service was excellent. We were not disappointed and we will return again.
We made a reservation but it wasn't necessary, the restaurant was empty. My daughter and I split a salad and a meal. Every other restaurant (including much less expensive restaurants) have split the meal onto two separate plates. Not only did our waitress fail to split the meal, she also failed to bring a second plate. The food was very average. When we paid the bill we left our parking ticket on the table next to our credit card. Our waitress took the check and credit card and left the parking ticket. We assumed that we were suppose to have the ticket stamped at the hostess stand. When we attempted to have our ticket stamped, the host said he would have to take it to the waitress to have it done. He brought it back unstamped and said that she wasn't able to stamp our ticket since it hadn't been stamped at the same time that we paid the bill. What??? We literally just got up from the table after paying the bill. We were less than impressed.
The Daily Grill is always a good choice in Bethesda. Located in the Hyatt Hotel, it opens onto the open space at the corner of Wisconsin and Old Georgetown, with access to the Metro. The food is very well prepared, nicely seasoned, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is basically divided into two parts--there's the bar section with several TVs tuned to sports, news, etc., high top tables or seats at the bar; and there's the other side with cozy booths. I'd definitely recommend adding one of their delicious soups to your entree selection. We tried the Manhattan clam chowder and the gazpacho and both were fantastic.
