Excellent and unique food. Will definitely go back.
A delectable glass of The Grower Project Sangiovese and Basque cake with peaches was exactly the medicine I needed to lift me out of my COVID stupor. A light breeze flirted with the patio's grape leaves. And, I felt cared for and safe since Dai Due is spot-on in its pandemic precautions. This is my neighborhood bistro and supper club--I can't believe how lucky I am to be able to enjoy a flaneurie to Dai Due and indulge in a culinary and visionary adventure!
Absolutely delicious. Interesting meat selection & amazing flavors in the vegetarian mezze plate
Only issue was that we were seated practically in the parking lot
The Garden table is a cool name but it's really in the parking lot. Food as always was fantastic and service was strong
Came to Austin specifically to dine at Dai Due after seeing MeatEater on Netflix. Great experience and food, super friendly staff. Well worth the trip from Cincinnati.
The food was amazing! Best pork chop I have ever had, salad was a great addition to the meal as well. The cold meat platter is a must try! We were spending the weekend in New Braunfels and made the hour drive to Austin specifically to eat at Dai Due and it was well worth the drive. The back patio is a great place to sit and enjoy your meal! Parking was easy and available in a private lot behind the restaurant! I highly recommend eating here and look forward to another meal at Dai Due next time I am in Austin.
Delicious as always!!! So happy they have reopened for patio dining.
As expected, after watching Meat Eater on netflix. Good quality meat and ingredients. Well prepared, and priced accordingly. Not your average restaurant (in a good way) and that's exactly the type of place Inwant to support. 👍
I was very impressed with the life-changing pork chops the last time I visited, a year ago, but it wasn't as great this time and that made me sad. Otherwise, everything else was really good! The weather was perfect (outdoor dining only), the bedsheet over the tables was kind of weird, and our server was awesome. Hoping to return to some great pork chops in the future!
The flies were out of control and other little nibbling insects. Made it a distraction.
The wine punch was VERY disappointing. With such strong juices- prickly pear and mango- how could the punch be so bland. There was no hint of either fruit mentioned above.
The food and wine choices were excellent and our server, Charlotte delivered a delightful experience and excellent recommendations!
Everything from the space to the service was perfection. I will definitely be back
Dai Due has reopened their patio with a menu that is close to normal. It was great to eat at an Austin restaurant for the first time in months, have great service, and enjoy fantastic locavore food.
Excellent food, supreme service
Nothing completely sucked, but nothing really makes me want to go back.
Pork chop was good, but tough. Artichoke was under cooked....but flavor was okay.
Sides are small, but flavor was okay.
Server forgot the coffee....
Again, not bad but nothing that makes me want to return.
I had family in from out of town and your great cooking did not disappoint!
Pork porterhouse was excellent and big enough for 3 to share. Would never prepare at home, but that’s a reason to try here. Sides: carrots, fried chicken hearts, hominy grits also special...once again with seasonings and prep beyond my skills. Service helpful and on-point. Great evening!!
This was our first visit to Dai Due after hearing good reviews for a while. I definitely appreciated the uniqueness of the foods. We shared a giant pork chop and ribeye among the four of us, which was plenty. My favorite dish was the chicken liver mousse with bacon jam. Amazing!
Great dinner and experience. Such great local food!
Amazing. Best restaurant in town :)
Food was fantastic. Service was great. Can’t wait to come back to Austin so I can get another great dinner.
Very interesting menu choices. Great tasting food and nice environment.
Great spot for date night, presuming you're both carnivores. (If you happen to be there on a Wednesday, the fish-and-chips Supper Club meal is excellent.)
Great place for a Business lunch
Great food, low noise , and some parking
Always a good choice
The food was excellent, maybe a little pricey but would eat there again. I ordered off of menu and my husband did the Supper Club Menu which includes appetizer, entree, hot beverage and dessert.
We had enjoyed Dai Due previously for lunch and wanted to also try their dinner menu. The staff were excellent and so was the food. Interesting that they only serve beer and Texas wines. We had to taste a few wines until we settled on one but staff were great in this process. The tried the cold meat board and chicken liver mousse as starters then shared the special mixed meat grill. Perfect amount of food for 4 hungry folks!! We will go back again.
I was stunned by how amazing the entire dining experience was at Dai Due. Go for the pork chop and the kale salad and you’ll be set! Definitely going back.
We returned to Dai Due for a nostalgic date -- and for the food. Excellent, whether it was meat, mezze or sides. Our server was fantastic and helped us find the wine we liked the best.
The food was very good and delivered quickly. Their wait staff is very attentive. If you are vegetarian or vegan this place will not be a good fit. Everything on the menu is fairly heavy and only one small salad option.
Delicious food, friendly service, and a beautiful space. 10 out of 10.
What a great restaurant! The wait staff is wonderful— accommodating and friendly— and the service Is perfect! Ingredients used are the best available in Texas, sourced from area farmers, and the desserts are not to be missed! I eat here whenever I am in Austin!
Great farm house space with a butcher shop entrance. Creative casual farm to fork cooking. Craft beers and local wine.
Super crazy good. From start to finish. Pork chop simple and perfect. Fried chicken dinner delish. Excellent local wines. Friendly service. Winner!
Butcher shop in front, restaurant in back. Ambiance/service/everything else was great. But the food....the food is FANTASTIC. highly recommend the burger (I want to say a top 3 burger for me) and the dry-aged ribeye. We were also there for their supper club sunday - which is tallow fried chicken night. the chicken, the mashed sweet potatoes + fried cabbage, and the corn bread were all delicious. Had originally gone hoping to get the beef rib, but they didn't have it on the menu the day we were there. Will just have to get it next time, because there will definitely be a next time when I'm back in Austin.
My husband and I were blown away by how good the food tasted! The ribs were the tastiest I have ever eaten. We shared the mixed grill, thinking we'd have a lot to take home, but we only had a few scraps of sausage and a little au jus left over. Everything on the mixed grill was amazing. Every single piece of food we tasted was exquisite. This will be our go-to place for special occasions from now on.
We had reservations so seating wasn’t an issue. If you don’t have one you might wanna make one due to the limited seating. Tables for two are pretty close to other couples and can be a bit tight for space depending on what you order. The supper club special for two was more than enough food for both of us, would recommend... and for those who say it’s “heavy on the meat” that’s what you’re paying for with the supper club. It’s a full three courses with dessert. Everything we had was great (beef ribs, pork chop, quail, venison sausage and boar sausage for the mains - started with the crawfish salad and carpaccio - citrus sorbet and butterscotch pudding for dessert). Ordered a bottle of wine as well. $200 for everything. Recommend!
Valentines weekend date night. It was great. Service was perfect. Good pace. Ambiance was just what we were looking for.
It was a perfect evening
Went on Valentines day was disappointed we could only choose from the special menu. Felt like the food was ok compared to the high price. Sat super close to an annoyingly loud table and listened to their conversation the whole time. Overall not worth the money.
My significant other and I went to Dai Due for the first time for Valentine's Day, and we had an amazing experience. Because we ordered from the set menu specials (4 courses), we can't talk specifically about their normal menu, but everything we had was delicious and actually even better than their descriptions sounded (their quail coq au vin was the best I've ever had). The ambiance was good, and we enjoyed being able to see and hear the chefs call out the orders (their wood-burning grill was too cool). We'll definitely be back for another date night.
Tip: Dai Due has a butcher shop in the front, and they definitely know their meat. If you really enjoy finer meat, definitely go here.
